Chapter 128: Restraint needs some work
" Of course I did. Why wouldn't I." Su Ping walked up to Melinda and hugged her with the kids. Melinda flashed him an apologetic look but, he didn't say anything, instead, enjoying the warm moment. Afterwards he handed her the children before heading over to the crashed cart.
"It's practically in shambles... We won't be able to salvage anything from it besides some spear wood." Su Ping said with a sigh before turning towards Rugard.
" Let's just leave it behind, the horses already ran off after the crash, whether they're still alive is irrelevant." Rugard said before having some undead to carry the items that were still usable from the crashed cart and placed them in the other carts.
After wards, Rugard ended his summoning, sending back all the summoned undead from wherever they came from.
" How do you suppose we take that monster with us?" Rugard gestured towards the dark sphere housing the Wolf King with his gaze. " We're down to four carts now, putting all the item from one of them so as to leave room for you 4 is the best we can do, we can't possibly fit her into anyone of these carts.
" H-Her? Darling, what's he talking about?" Melinda suddenly intervened, looking confused since she didn't quite understand what they were saying.
Su Ping glared at Rugard but the latter simply scoffed, seemingly unfazed by it.
" Are you going to tell her or should I?" Rugard said.
" Tell me what? Is there something your hiding from me honey..." Melinda's voice began to shake, her face turning downcast. Su Ping felt irritated by this darned necromancers uncontrollable mouth, he just got to a silent understanding with his wife yet here this bastard was trying to sow discord between them.
" Darling there's nothing to worry about. I was planning on telling you either way." Su Ping held onto Melinda's shoulders while smiling reassuringly.
" Then please tell me, What's Sir Rugard talking about. Are you now deciding to keep secrets from me... Is it because of before." Su Ping felt his heart ache seeing Melinda's growing look of anguish.
" Well since your planning on telling her, then let me do it." Rugard smirked inwardly at Su Ping's misfortune yet on the outside, his face had hints of anxiety. " Your husband is planning on taking the leader of these monsters with us." Rugard said yet he suddenly found that his vision had darkened.
[Dark Sphere]
At the same time, Multiple dark spikes shot out from the inner surface of the Dark sphere.
Su Ping glared coldly at the Dark Sphere, his eyes glowing purple black. Wisps of killing intent permeating from his body. But Su Ping quickly snapped out of his rage state when he realized Melinda was struggling to withstand his pressure.
" Mel Mel I'm sorry." Su Ping restrained his killing intent at the same time he mimicked the late captains healing ability on her.
" It's ok, I'm fine." Melinda's gasps for air soon became controlled when she finally regained her breath. Even though he didn't mean to, his magical pressure was still not something someone like her could handle.
Su Ping let out a sigh of relief, fortunately, the children weren't too close at the moment, unless things would've been even more disastrous.
" Mommy...are you ok."
" Is Mommy hurt." Mel and Sal stopped what they were doing and hurried over to their mother's side.
" It's ok you two. Mommy's fine." Melinda consoled them before turning back to face her husband, this time her gaze was neither shy nor conflicted. " Are you sure you want to bring it with us." She asked.
Su Ping didn't understand what brought about the sudden change of heart in her but he nodded.
" Then why not tie some of the cargo on top of the carts and make room for it. That way we won't have to get rid of anything." Melinda suggested.
" That could actually work." Su Pings blinked with a look of realization. But his face turned confused when he saw her laughing all of a sudden.
" What's so funny?"
" It's nothing...it's just that darling really isn't that bright." Melinda giggled before kissing Su Ping on the cheek out of the blue.
" I'm not going to stop you from now on but, you have to promise me you'll at least be careful and most of all, whatever it is you have in mind, you have to tell me darling." Melinda stared into his eyes with a look similar to one who refused to accept no for an answer.
" Sure thing." Su Ping wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her in for a kiss on the forehead.
" Well we better get going." Melinda lifted in the kids into her arms.
" Mommy, what about uncle Rugard. Isn't he coming with us." Mel pointed at the dark sphere behind them.
" Your uncle wants to rest for a bit, he'll join us when he's fully rested ok." Melinda said with a smile before winking at her husband. Su Ping blinked again in surprise. But he easily understood the hidden message she was trying to send.
Su Ping smiled with satisfaction. He first did as Melinda had suggested, he carried some cargo and tied them on top of a cart, making room for the imprisoned wolf King. He also took out some cargo from another cart to make room for them to rest during the journey.
" Summon Undeads: Wandering Wraiths."
" Summon Undeads: Skeleton Army."
Su Ping summoned a small batch of undead to act as guards and coachman. Him, Melinda and the Kids then got onto the leading cart before setting off. Leaving behind a lone Dark sphere behind.
Before they left, Su Ping created slits in it, to act as air passages and hopefully help the troublesome necromancer regain his magic but, By the time that happened, they would be long gone by then.
Su Ping acted as the leader of the caravan, fortunately he had gathered some Intel fr
om the adventurer's and knew that there was a county a few miles down the path.
