Chapter 115: Onward!
" Looks like we were worried over nothing." The captain said before taking out another mid grade mana stone.
" Hehehe there's no harm to it, If it's ok with you sir, We were hoping if it would be ok to travel along side your group." Rugard smiled while pushing back the mana stone to the old man.
" I'm sorry my friend but I'm sure my employer would be unhappy with that arrangement."
" No need to apologize sir, I can at least understand what your trying to say." Rugard sighed, looking a bit disappointed.
The captain felt as if he could understand what the man must've been aiming for. Even if the adventurers didn't help them during monster attacks, just having them around would serve as a deterrent towards monster's.
" If faith allows it, let's meet again." Rugard got back in his seat before moving the caravan ahead, this time the Adventurers made way for them to pass.
The old man waited patiently for all the carts to go far. He was still a bit cautious but when he didn't notice anything amiss, he let out a sigh of relief.
Rugard might've been the only Lvl 3 amongst that group but he was painfully aware of how troublesome a necromancer could be.
Unlike his simple minded colleague, he knew some undead weren't capable of feeling physical pain, nor where they ever tired.
Moreover, not all necromancers were the same, some, unlike others, could summon far more undead to aid their endeavors.
Even if Rugard didn't come off as a talented type, the Old man still felt there was need to be cautious, nonetheless.
" Is this some kind of joke." The old adventurer bit his trembling lips when he heard the young misses enraged voice.
He didn't even reach the carriage before the side window open, revealing Esmeralda's unhappy face.
" Young miss, is there anything you need." The Old man reluctantly portrayed a polite expression.
" Your asking if there's anything I need?!"
" I need you and your people, to do your jobs!" She glared at all the adventures. " Who was it that said we couldn't go any faster unless we wanted to attract more monster's, if thats the case, then how come we just got overtaken by a bunch of carts?"
" You aren't planning anything nefarious are you?" The old man became alarmed when he sensed the young misses magical power leaking out ever so slightly.
Their adventurer group consisted of 6, Lvl 3 common tier adventures, the captain himself was the only Lvl 3 elite tier amongst them. But the young miss herself was a Lvl 3 elite tier mage.
The 6 adventurers expressions grew apprehensive. " Young miss, please control your temper." The captain hurriedly said, trying to sound as polite as possible.
He didn't dare to think that she wouldn't attack them, just from staying with her for a few days, he was aware of the young misses tendencies.
" If you don't want to see me lose my temper, then make sure you speed things up or else!" Esmeralda slammed the slid window shut without waiting for a reply.
The adventurers exchanged unhappy looks woth each other. Their captain could tell that they were upset but there was nothing they could do. How should they know why that caravan had chosen to to move so quickly.
The old man sighed before urging them on. The carriage then sped up it's pace, moving faster than before.
" We're lucky we got past them. Nobles aren't usually so tolerant." Rugard chuckled while keeping the cart steady.
Su Ping who was now sitting next to Rugard, was surprised by his remark. He sensed hints of wariness from the humans tone, something he usually didn't here. " Couldn't you have just beaten them by summoning more undead. I don't see the reason for you to have been so cautious."
" Summon more undead? Do you really think a necromancer is that incredible? My class might be useful for large scale warfare but that doesn't mean I'm invisible."
" If I'm to summon equally powerful undead, they'll have a summoning time limit, summoning an undead above one's tier would require far more magical power and the summoning time limit would be shortened even more, the more talented a necromancer, the higher the level of undead they can summon."
" A necromancer usually doesn't go to the lengths of summoning powerful undead unless absolutely necessary but the fact that we can do so, puts our class out there. The only reason those guys didn't try anything unruly was because I'm here." Rugard smirked at Su Ping who ignored him, instead choosing to remain silent.
Su Ping was far more privy towards the new info Rugard had just given him. If a necromancer possessed such capabilities, then he might as well delve into necromancy. With his dark dragon eyes, becoming a necromancer should be far more easier, not to mention with his superior racial talent as a dragon of darkness would guarantee more results.
As for meeting other necromancers who choose to become his enemy, Su Ping didn't bother thinking about it for long, after all, with his capabilities, a necromancer wouldn't be able to pose a threat to him unless they were incredibly powerful.
" ....Looks like you were right about something." Su Pings eyes suddenly squinted.
" Huh?" Rugard turned confused, unaware of what the demon was implying.
" These people really are troublesome." Su Ping said while wisps of darkness began emanating from his body.
The escort group felt that they should've spotted the caravan by now. The Old man looked troubled.
" If we don't overtake those people soon, the young miss will definitely throw another tantrum." The captain mumbled beneath his breath, his face looking distressed.
" Captain, up ahead." One of the adventurers suddenly spoke up, snapping the captain put of his daze.
" We finally found them." The captain muttered with relief. " Onward now! Let's make haste." The escort group increased their pace, the captain wanted nothing more than to overtake the caravan so as to finally silence the young miss.
