Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1935: The Drifting Spirit World Pt.6

When the Giant Ape King uttered those words, both he and the Ying Brothers already understood. Aside from submitting to the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field and becoming a subordinate Spirit World, they had no other choice left.

Thanks to the powerful intervention of Shang Xia's External Avatar, who temporarily froze the violent void currents, both worlds were able to momentarily resist the pull of the massive void vortex. This brief reprieve gave the high-level cultivators of both worlds a chance to catch their breath, while also deepening their reverence for the cultivators from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field.

Especially after they learned that the one who had taken action was not Shang Xia's true body, but merely an External Avatar.

Although the crisis had not yet been completely resolved, everyone knew once Shang Xia's true body and the other Star Ships arrived, it would be the moment both worlds could fully escape the pull of the vortex.

Moreover, since Shang Xia's External Avatar served as a beacon for the arrival of his true body, the distortions and disruptions of the void current could no longer fully block the subtle resonance between the two.

Roughly seven or eight days passed in both worlds when, without warning, the void current surged once again.

This time, even Shang Xia's External Avatar had no choice but to abandon his position beneath both worlds, where he had been resisting the suction of the vortex, and join the effort to drag both worlds against the violent void currents.

Having experienced something similar once before, everyone quickly recognized the cause. Shang Xia's true body and the other two Star Ships of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field were definitely approaching rapidly. That was the reason behind the disturbance in the void.

Thus, despite the immense effort it took to keep dragging the worlds forward, neither the experts of both worlds nor the experts of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field fell into despair. In fact, many believed the disturbance was the final hurdle before victory.

Indeed... Due to the strengthening resonance between Shang Xia's External Avatar and his true body, the Jiao Continent and the Ji Continent managed to pinpoint the location of both worlds in the void currents.

As the other two Star Ships burst through the void and emerged, Shang Xia's true body also arrived. Without a word, he executed the fourth move of his Six Harmony Rod Technique, Void Seal. The violent void currents calmed instantly even without the appearance of any starlight like Shang Xia's External Avatar clone did earlier.

With the void current suppressed, the Spirit Ruling World and Spirit Frost World became stable once again.

At the same time, the Jiao Continent and the Ji Continent quickly integrated into the fleet dragging the worlds out. Since the Bing Continent and Hai Continent had already anchored their chains, the integration of the new Star Ships went much more smoothly.

Yet, contrary to the expectations of the Ying Brothers and the Giant Ape King, the chains didn't connect to both worlds equally.

Instead, the Ji Continent which had been helping the Ying Brothers anchor the Spirit Ruling World, suddenly retracted its chains, turned, and joined the Hai Continent. Both supported the Spirit Frost World.

The Jiao Continent quickly filled the spot, but the contrast was stark. The chains extending from the Bing Continent, Ji Continent, and Hai Continent, along with the original Spirit Ark were connected to the Spirit Frost World. Meanwhile, only the Jiao Continent and the Ying Brothers' original large Star Ship were connected to the Spirit Ruling World.

The Jiao Continent might be larger than the rest, but it was still a large Star Ship at the end of the day. It was not a super Star Ship. How could two large Star Ships be enough to tow the Spirit Ruling World?

Or had the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field judged that it lacked the strength to drag both worlds at once, intending instead to rescue the Spirit Frost World before returning for the Spirit Ruling World?

The Ying Brothers couldn't help but wonder if it was because the Spirit Frost World was more valuable to the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field due to its stronger foundations and greater degree of development.

Just then, Ying Lianxi noticed Shang Xia's External Avatar, who was as strong as a second star Sage, entering the Hai Continent. He was preparing to take charge of the towing of the Spirit Frost World personally.

As the UYing Brothers reluctantly prepared to accept the obvious preferential treatment, a voice suddenly rang in their ears. "Why do the two of you seem so distracted? Are you guys already exhausted by the exertion earlier?"

Startled, the brothers turned to see Shang Xia himself hovering just outside their Star Ship. He was a mere step away from the protection barrier.

Had he harbored ill intent, he could have stepped onto their deck before their grand formation could be fully activated.

Fortunately, he came as an ally.

The brothers hurriedly deactivated their defensive formations and invited him aboard, but Shang Xia only waved a hand and smiled. "There'll be time to catch up later. Right now, what matters is pulling both worlds free from the influence of the spatial vortex."

Ying Lianxi hesitated, but Ying Lianquan responded quickly, "Sage Shang, rest assured. With two large ships holding our Spirit Ruling World in place, you may focus on rescuing the Spirit Frost World first and return for us afterward."

Shang Xia was briefly surprised, then chuckled softly as if realizing something. "That won't be necessary. With the power we now command, it's more than enough to drag both worlds out at the same time."

Ying Lianquan looked doubtful. "Surely you jest, Sage Shang. The Spirit Frost World is pulled by three large Star Ships and a Spirit Ark. There are only two..."

Shang Xia interrupted him with a smile. "So what? Are two large Star Ships not enough to tow your Spirit Ruling World?"

Ying Lianquan opened his mouth, unsure how to respond. The next moment, he began to suspect that Shang Xia might not be joking.

Shang Xia glanced between the two brothers and nodded. "Let's begin."

With that, he turned and departed.

Ying Lianquan looked to his elder brother. "Brother..."

Ying Lianxi sighed. "We tried to estimate Sage Shang's capabilities as generously as possible, but it seems even that was too conservative." Then, with a touch of self-mockery, he added, "Really now... What right do we have to measure the strength of a real Sage?"

After drifting near danger for what felt like an eternity, the Spirit Ruling World and the Spirit Frost World finally began to move again. Slowly and steadily, they started moving with growing momentum away from the perilous spatial vortex.

And as the distance grew, the pull of the vortex weakened. Both worlds started to accelerate as they were dragged by Shang Xia, several large Star Ships, many smaller Star Ships, and dozens of True Immortals. There were hundreds of Martial Dipper Realm experts working on the Star Ships, giving their all to drag both worlds away.

Eventually, both worlds emerged from the danger zone. At that point, their complete escape from the spatial vortex was virtually guaranteed.

Yet, even as they celebrated this turning point, another thorny issue loomed ahead for Shang Xia and the high-level cultivators of both worlds.

Once freed from the spatial vortex's concealment, how were they to tow both worlds across several Star Regions to make it safely back to the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field?!
