Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1934: The Drifting Spirit World Pt.5

Setting aside the shock that the Ying Brothers and the Giant Ape King had felt upon witnessing Shang Xia's External Avatar possess the cultivation of a second star Sage and that his true body might appear at any moment...

When the two Star Ships, the Bing Continent and the Hai Continent, burst through the void currents and appeared, the previously violent flow became much calmer.

This turn of events improved the situation for the Spirit Ruling World and Spirit Frost World once more. It also confirmed another matter. The sudden increase in the void's turbulence earlier had most likely been caused by the movement of the Star Ships.

Now that they had arrived, the experts of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field sprang into action.

They, who had long since expected the crisis the Spirit Ruling World and Spirit Frost World would be facing, began adjusting their ships' orientations and channeled their power to the maximum. At the same time, anchor chains flew out from the side of the ship to the Spirit Worlds.

Moments later, with approval from the high-level experts and Beast Kings of both worlds, the chains seamlessly integrated with their grand formation before locking on to the World Origin Source of several key continents.

While the arrival of the Star Ships brought much-needed reinforcements, the most critical support came from the dozens of True Immortals and over a hundred elite Martial Dipper Realm cultivators on board.

Previously, their worlds had already recovered somewhat due to the infusion of solidified origin qi. The now-diminished turbulence of the void meant they had stopped falling. With the arrival and assistance of the Star Ships from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field, they started moving slowly in the other direction.

Even though the reversal of their movement through the void seemed minimal and barely enough to be effective, for the experts of both worlds who had recently faced despair, it was more than enough to rekindle their hope.

There was, however, another critical factor. The presence of Stargazers aboard the Star Ships of the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field led by the rank six Grand Stargazer.

As soon as the anchor chains were integrated into both worlds, Xin Lu began coordinating the movement of all Star Ships and activation of formations across both worlds.

After only a slight adjustment to the alignment, the cultivators and Beast Kings aboard the large and mid Star Ships could immediately sense a decrease in the effort required to tow both worlds.

Ying Lianquan was greatly encouraged by the change in situation and yelled, "Sage Shang, may I ask, when will your true body and the other Star Ships arrive?"

Shang Xia's External Avatar had remained passive after delivering the treasures, taking no further action even after the arrival of the Star Ships and their assistance to the Ying Brothers and the Giant Ape King. He simply floated in the void, observing the proceedings, seemingly with no intention of acting directly.

Yet, no one had dared to rush him. Ying Lianquan had merely inquired about the other Star Ships' arrival.

Hearing the question, Shang Xia's External Avatar smiled and replied, "There's no need to be impatient. The situation has stabilized and we can hold on long enough for my true body to arrive!"

Ying Lianquan seemed about to ask something more, but was suddenly interrupted, as if by an unseen force. He coughed lightly and simply said, "Thank you."

After he spoke, he fell silent.

Just then, Shang Xia's External Avatar floating in the void seemed to hear something. In the next instant, it vanished and rushed in the direction the worlds had been falling.

Although the Ying Brothers and the Giant Ape King knew Shang Xia would never act in vain or throw himself into danger without purpose, they still couldn't help but feel uneasy and confused.

Ying Lianquan, being the more impatient of the brothers, immediately sent a voice transmission to Huang Jinghan, the True Immortal stationed on the Bing Continent. "What is Sage Shang's External Avatar trying to do?"

At that moment, Huang Jinghan sat at the helm of the Bing Continent. Though he lacked the support of the World's Will enjoyed by the Ying Brothers, which allowed them to wield the strength of Sages, he still commanded a large Star Ship, which was no small matter. Upon hearing the question, he replied coolly, "How can we guess the intentions of an existence like Sage Shang? We need only do our part. Though... I believe we shall know soon enough."

No sooner had he spoken than his words were proven true.

Behind the Spirit Frost World and Spirit Ruling World, brilliant starlight suddenly erupted from the chaotic void. Despite the surging turbulence constantly battering it, the light wasn't completely extinguished. They only dimmed slightly.

At the very moment that starlight appeared, the force pulling the worlds back paused.

It was as if a raft being swept downstream had suddenly drifted into a still, dead lake. As a result, the four large and over a dozen mid Star Ships surged forward by a significant distance, dragging the worlds behind them. The sudden movement caused massive tectonic shifts within both worlds, but they were quickly suppressed by the higher-level experts working in unison.

Shang Xia's External Avatar didn't freeze the force dragging the worlds into the center of the spatial vortex for long enough. It returned rapidly, and the starlight that emerged eventually disappeared. The chains were pulled taut and they continued to fight against the opposing force.

Fortunately, they had already moved some distance away, putting them in a much better situation.

That extraordinary feat, however, must have consumed an immense amount of energy from Shang Xia's External Avatar. It would likely be impossible to repeat it again in the short term.

Still, it was enough to leave the Ying Brothers and the Giant Ape King utterly astonished.

This time, the typically silent Ying Lianxi took the initiative to speak to the Giant Ape King via voice transmission. "Brother Ape, with your current connection to the Spirit Frost World's Will, your cultivation now rivals that of a second star Sage. However, Sage Shang's External Avatar is also a second star Sage..."

"No... I can't compare myself to him. It won't even be close." The Giant Ape King interrupted Ying Lianxi flatly, as if knowing exactly what he meant to ask. "The power we wield ultimately does not belong to us."

After a pause, the Giant Ape King seemed to struggle with something internally. Then, as if having finally reached a decision, he added solemnly, "Enough. Let's not think about anything else for now."
