Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 980: 977: Ambush

Sitting on a chair in the room that was given to him by Queen Nerith, Corey had his eyes closed as he focused on healing the injuries to his mental space and his eyes.

His spirit form was moving about in his Sea of Consciousness and was actively choosing where to heal and controlling everything in his Sea of Consciousness.

However, a part of his mind was focused on how he was going to get the craftsmanship and blacksmithing knowledge of the Silver Elves.

With the Alchemy Anvil in his Perceptual Nexus of Repository, he could literally create weapons and armors as long as he provided the materials to the forge.

But the problem with that was that it required him to have deep knowledge on blacksmithing techniques and the intricate design and make-up of the weapon, armor, or item he wants to create.

He was ignorant about blacksmithing techniques. After recording the books, scrolls, tomes, and various obejcts of knowledge from the Outer Library, Inner Library, and even the Central Library of the City of Sin of the Underworld, he had quite a lot of blacksmithing techniques in his mind.

But he knew that none of those techniques could be compared to the techniques of the Silver Elves.

The Silver Elves were on par with the dwarves when it came to talented blacksmiths, and he would have loved to have both the techniques of the Silver Elves and the Dwarves since with the two techniques, he could modify them to become a much better technique.

Because of his talents, he was certain that the blacksmithing techniques he had modified and made his, were profound.

But his was just a tad lower than that of the Silver Elves.

And the reason for this was because the Silver Elves could create Growth Weapons and even Immortal Growth Weapons.

None of the knowledge Corey gained in the Underworld or in the Archive of Virendell, had knowledge or techniques on how to create Growth Weapons.

Through the Archive, he knew that Growth Weapons were not called Growth Weapons in the past, but Soul Weapons. Although this gave him a hint on how to create Growth Weapons or Soul Weapons, and part of his plans was to practice on how to create Growth Weapons, his encounter with the Silver Elves gave him the opportunity not to take such risks.

Dealing with the soul was a delicate task, and Corey would rather use a template than go blind while practicing with his soul.

Aside from the fact that the Silver Elves could create Growth Weapons, the Silver Elves could also create Immortal Growth Weapons.

They had techniques, blueprints, and templates on how to create these weapons, and it was truly these techniques he wanted from the Queen.

Weapons were graded from Red Grade to Violet Grade, and Violet Grade weapons were regarded as extremely powerful weapons that could bolster the power of a Tier 6 to extreme heights.

However, Violet Grade weapons were limited to the Mystic Realm, and they were weak against Immortals.

The grading system of Immortal Weapons was different, and one might think being able to create Growth Weapons was unbelievable, but being able to create Growth Weapons at the Immortal Realm?

That was truly incomprehensible to even the elites of the universe.

Sure, one might think that a Growth Weapon would surely become an Immortal Weapon at the end of the day as long as it grows with the owner.

But very few people had no idea that for a weapon to become a Growth Weapon, it must undergo a Tribulation.

And many weapons failed to survive this Tribulation. Those that did, became powerful Immortal Growth Weapons.

This was why, very few Immortals possessed Immortal Weapons that could grow since it was more rare than normal growth weapons.

But the Silver Elves and Dwarves could make Immortal Growth Weapons, and this was one of the reasons why they were so feared. And why they could stand against so many powers of the universe alone.

Majority of the Immortal Silver Elves in their prime possessed Immortal Growth Weapons, Armors, and Items.

And these made the Silver Elves to stand at the nigh-peak of the universe.

Corey obviously wanted this knowledge, and he had seriously underestimated just how willing and wary Queen Nerith was of him.

He had a feeling that if she had no idea of how special and unique he was, she would have no problem in allowing him to go to whatever library they possessed.

'For the first time, somebody is wary of me and is not underestimating me. And surprisingly, it's an Immortal.'

Corey knew that Queen Nerith was actually smart in not allowing him to go to their library. Because if she had done so, he was certain that he would have found a way to obtain more knowledge even if she tried to restrict him.

Unfortunately for him, she made the right move.

'I can't sneak into wherever they keep their knowledge since I have a feeling that the Queen is observing me somehow. Though I don't know how.'

'Illusion cannot work. I can't use my Tri-Pupil Eyes, and I can definitely not defeat four Immortals.'

'Hmm... I'll have to find another way.'

Corey released a deep sigh as he healed a fracture in his Sea of Consciousness. Just as he was about to continue healing the wounds in his mind, he heard the sound of a knock on his door.

'Hmm? Who's that?'

He opened his eyes in the real world, and then he looked at the door with furrowed brows. His eyes flashed, and when he saw that it was Jeremy that was at the door, his frown lessened slightly.

He approached the door and opened it.

"What's up?" He asked.

Jeremy looked at him with a slight furrow of his brows and a strange glint flashed in his eyes for a fraction of a second before he replied.

"The Queen has invited all of us to dinner. Since I was close by, I decided to call you."

Corey noticed the strange glint that flashed in Jeremy's eyes, but he didn't think too much of it.

"Oh. Alright. Just let me-"

Corey's eyes widened as his instincts screamed at him, but before he could react, a black clothed individual with a mask, holding a blood red spear which crackled with lightning appeared behind Jeremy's back in the blink of an eye.

With a fierce and vicious momentum, the man stabbed Jeremy's heart and pierced through Corey's chest in the process.

Both Jeremy and Corey were stunned, and Corey's eyes widened in disbelief as copious amount of blood poured out from his chest and mouth.

"What the-?"

He tried to look at the culprit, but he saw no one. And then he quickly looked at Jeremy.

He saw that the King of Miracles was dead.

"Damn it."

He growled, and then he held the spear. But the moment he did, the world froze and time stopped completely.
