Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 964: 961: I'm Not Poor!

"Who are you?"

After Pamela's words of contempt, one of the Tier 6 Silver Elves spoke with an extremely solemn tone as he looked at Pamela, then Corey.

They could no longer take anybody from the group as weak or beneath them. In less than an hour, seven Mystic Beings of their organization had died.

This was not a blow to their organization. It was a massive blow to their organization.

Before the destruction of their world, the loss of four Tier 4s and three Tier 5s would have hurt, but it won't shake their organization so much.

But after the destruction of their organization, what was left on this planet was a mere fraction of their organization. And the loss of seven Mystic Beings was detrimental to the foundations of their organization.

Not only had they lost seven Mystic Beings, they had not been able to kill a single one of their enemy.

'This is bad. This is very bad.'

'Just who are these people? How? How? Just how were they able to kill all our people? A Tier 3 killing four Tier 4s? Two Tier 4s killing two Tier 5s? And a bloody Tier 2 killing a Tier 5?!'

'What sort of dream is this?'

'How do we report this to the elders? They are never going to believe us. We'll be branded as traitors and they'll kill us!'

'But we have to do something. We need to find a way to rectify the situation. We have to take the consequences for not saving the lives of our people.'

Damien, the Tier 6 Silver Elf, had the gears in his mind working at a pace that had never happened before.

Numerous scenarios on how they were to approach the elders of their organization ran through his mind, and he knew that to save their lives, they needed to do just one thing.

The most important thing.

'We need to bring back the Princess alive no matter what. If we do, the elders might be more lenient toward us. If we don't, they'll kill us and use us as materials.'

He looked at Corey and Pamela, then his gaze landed on Kiefer.

'If we can capture all of them alive, we might even be forgiven. Especially that Tier 2 Outsider. His talents are like our predecessors that could control plants and trees.'

'If we're able to study him and perform experiments, then the power of our organization would surely take a giant leap forward. We might even be able to finally destroy the royals and their laws.'

Damien's eyes flashed with a dangerous glint as he stared at Kiefer. He suddenly recalled something.

His partner, Eli, had asked the strange group of Outsiders a question, but they had not answered him for a very long time.

'Nearly a minute has passed, but the Outsiders have not said a word, and Eli has been strangely quiet too.'

He turned and looked at Eli whose face was hidden in the hood of his cloak.

"Eli?"

He shook him by the shoulder, but his eyes suddenly widened in disbelief when Eli's head slowly fell to the ground and rolled to his feet, his blank open eyes that knew nothing of how he died, stared directly at Damien.

"Fuck?!"

He tried to jump back, but a hand wearing black fingerless gloves held his neck from behind, and he shook.

"Your friend, Eli, has been dead for some time now. If you were not so fixated on my butler, you might have noticed a lot sooner."

Corey's familiar voice drifted into the Elf's ears, and the Elf shook the more with shock extremely evident in his eyes.

"H-How? When?"

Corey raised a brow. "How? I merely walked here. When? Long enough for me to have killed you a thousand times over."

Damien's breathing became irregular and heavy as he felt death encroaching all around him.

'No. This is no normal Tier 3. This presence is too overwhelming. It's not a human but an abomination!'

"Who are you? Why are you doing this? Our business was with the Princess. You didn't have to interfere."

Sweat poured down Damien's forehead as he felt himself feeling suffocated and out of breath because of Corey.

Meanwhile, Corey tilted his head slightly with a light smile as he held Damien's neck. "I don't think you're in any position to be asking questions. I ask the questions. You answer. Do you understand?"

There was no response from Damien, and Corey sighed while rolling his eyes.

Without saying a single word, he kicked Damien's knee from behind, and Damien's snapped.

"ARRGGGHHH!!!!"

Damien screamed as his left leg was broken in two, causing him to nearly fall to the ground. However, Corey's hold on his neck remained present.

"If you had just answered my questions, that would not have happened."

Corey raised Damien by the neck, and his lips was near the Silver Elf's ear.

"Now, I ask questions. You answer them... Do you understand?"

Damien furiously nodded with tears and swear pouring down his face.

"Good." Corey smiled. "Now, tell me why you decided to kidnap a poor and innocent young girl that is no older than five years old."

"I'm not poor. I'm rich!"

Corey looked at Ecles who had shouted with puffed up cheeks, and he was truly taken back and stunned.

Even Pamela, Kiefer, Selene, Willow, and Damien looked at Ecles with strange expressions.

"Well. I certainly didn't expect that."

Corey chuckled, and then he waved at Ecles. "Sorry, little princess. Of course, you're a Princess. So you're definitely not poor."

"Hmm." Ecles vehemently nodded with a happy and proud smile, and Corey shook his head with a smile.

"Children."

He tightened his grip on Damien's neck and tilted his head slightly.

"Oh yeah, where were we?... Ah, right. Why you decided to kidnap the young, rich, and beautiful Princess."

He looked at Ecles who nodded multiple times with a proud smile while folding her arms.

Corey smiled, and then he looked at Damien.

"Hmm?"

Damien's face squeezed in pain. "To force the hands of the Royal Family."
