"To force the hands of the Royal Family."

Corey nodded his head slightly when he heard that. It was one of the reasons he expected, and he was not surprised by it.

But obviously he still needed more answers.

"Why? Why do you want to force the hands of the Royal Family?"

"Because we're Freedom Fighters." Damien's eyes blazed with a conviction and resoluteness as he suddenly stared at Ecles.

"For a very very very long time. The powers of the universe nearly led our race to extinction. They nearly wiped us out and turned us into slaves who would be treated worse than animals."

"And why?"

"All because of their fear!"

Despite the hold on Damien's neck, he forced himself to shout, causing his voice to come out as croaked. Corey merely raised a brow when he saw this.

"They attacked us. Killed many of us. But guess what. We survived. Despite the odds, we survived against the powers of the universe, and the elders were able to preserve our race till today... But it came at a cost."

"Our freedom. We were not slaves, and we were not oppressed, but we could not explore outside our world. We had to hide like fugitives and limit ourselves to not explore outside our world. To not use the nigh unlimited resources of the universe!"

"If we were not an advanced race who had no idea of the powers and beauty of the universe, it might not have mattered. But we were, and we knew. But..."

"...We were robbed of our freedom because of the powers of the Universe!"

Damien's breathing became rough, forced, and uneven as he stared into the eye of Ecles who was also staring at him.

"At first, it made sense to not leave the confines of our world since we had to recuperate, but a lot of time passed and we increased our strength, our foundations. We made sure to become stronger than our predecessors, and to also increase our defenses. We did all of that, but... the Royal Family were cowards."

He scowled as he shifted his gaze from Ecles to Pamela who was holding Ecles by the shoulders.

"They were too fearful to leave the world and explore the universe once again. They were comfortable where they were. They were comfortable with their mediocrity, and before long, we started stagnating."

"Because the flames of ambition and desire to have revenge and establish ourselves in the upper echelons of the Universe was doused by the Royal Family, we barely made any progress as a race, and we stagnated."

"Generations after generations passed, and everybody became comfortable. They became comfortable in this world... In this prison."

Damien tried to take a step forward as he gestured to their surroundings, but Corey's grip remained tight on him.

"But we, the Freedom Fighters, never forgot the unfairness of the universe. We never forgot what our people faced. We never forgot the blood that was shed by those that were killed, and those that sacrificed themselves for these bunch of ingrates to enjoy their prison."

Damien spat on the ground as he looked at Ecles with disgust, and Pamela, Kiefer, Selene, and Willow frowned.

"We tried so many things with the Royal Family. Negotiations, threats, deaths, destruction. But we always failed because the Royal Family are a lot stronger than us. They also have the support of the people, and everybody was too accustomed to peace. None wanted to die. They only wanted to forge in peace and foolishness."

Damien scoffed.

"There was a time we told them that what if we were found, what would happen? But do you know what the Queen back then told us? That our defenses were more than enough."

Damien gave a smile of mockery at Ecles.

"But guess what. Our planet was destroyed by who knows what. Probably an attack from one of the elite powers of the universe."

"Our defenses could not protect us, and look at what's left of our world? Now, we have no home, and we were right."

"If we had explored the universe and obtained more planets for ourselves, we would have had other homes, not just one. But now, we have none."

"Our world. No. Our prison is shattered, and the Royal Family is extremely weakened. We'll make sure that our people are not trapped in another prison no matter what. Even if a sea of blood has to be made."

"The future generations must not be limited by our incompetence."

Corey furrowed his brows slightly, and then he turned Damien so that the Elf could face him.

"This is all good to know, but you've still not answered my question. Why do you want to force the hands of the Royal Family?"

Damien smiled widely. "The Royal Family wants to have a peaceful treaty with you guys, and we cannot have that. Since this is your home, our status and situation would be worse than what it was... A lot worse."

Corey frowned. "So, you kidnapped Ecles to threaten the Royal Family? To make them take your side?"

Damien chuckled and chuckled loudly, "Of course not. You don't know the Royal Family very well do you."

Damien scoffed. "Although Princess Ecles is extremely talented and is most likely going to be Queen when she's older, the Royal Family would never side with us or take our threats so lightly."

Corey's frown deepened slightly. "So what did you guys do? What's your plan?"

Damien chuckled but didn't say a single word. Corey stared into his eyes, and then he raised his free hand.

A translucent axe appeared in his hand, and Damien's eyes widened. Before he could react or speak, Corey severed his right arm from his shoulde while combining Painful Echo with it.

"ARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!"

Damien screamed in immense pain, and he shook while holding his severed shoulder. He wanted to roll on the floor due to the immense pain he was in, but Corey's grip on his neck was as strong as ever.

"Speak."

Corey raised him up and stared into his eyes with an extremely cold gaze.

Damien breathed heavily and stared at Corey with blood-red eyes that were filled with fury and fear.

"We were not the ones that actually captured the Princess. Some Outsiders did, though we worked with them. We made the scene of the kidnapping show that it was you Outsiders that kidnapped their Princess, which would make the peace treaty to be nullified."

Corey suddenly looked to his right with an extremely deep frown.

Damien also looked, and at first he couldn't sense anything, but when he did, an extremely wide smile appeared on his face.

"We'll be free once again, and your world would be the stepping stone to the rise of our race."

The moment Damien, the entire world fragment trembled, and in the far distance.

BOOOOOOOOM!!!

A cataclysmic explosion occurred that shook the entire world fragment.
