Reincarnated Wehraboo's Revenge

Chapter 61: Night Attack

Maruschka and Hanna were constantly causing troubles for Erika.

Maruschka hugged Erika, tightly and said to Hanna,

"Lady Hanna, you don't have to do it. Let me take care of Erika. I have taken care of younger children before so I can do it better." She said glaring at Hanna.

Hanna for her part was even more active.

She pulled Maruschka away and hugged Erika, burying her face into Erika's bosom.

"You don't know how to bathe a noble." Hanna bragged about the delicacies of a noble girls body.

"I have already said before, this place only belongs to me. I won't share it with anyone." Her face still buried inside Erika's bosom.

Maruschka rushed beside Erika and held her arms around her neck from behind and placed her head on Erika's shoulder.

As the two girls were fighting amongst each other, Erika was getting increasingly angry and embarrassed.

Her face turned red and she clenched her fists.

"Hey, if you can't get along with each other, than get out!" She scolded them.

"I won't be your friend anymore if you don't learn to get along." She said angrily.

She just wanted to have a relaxing bath but they were making it almost impossible.

The scolding worked and the result seemed immediate.

"No, please don't say that. We will become the best of friends from now on."

Both of them spoke in fear and embarrassment.

But now they both clung to her even more tightly than before.

However, the catfight stopped as they both compromised with each other.

Except for a few angry glances at each other, the bath ended peacefully.

Both Hanna and Maruschka were mesmerized to see Erika after bath.

Her beautiful white skin, brown hair and blue eyes captivated them both and they kept staring at her.

Erika felt shy. Her face turned pink as she rushed out of the bath after quickly wrapping her towel around her.

In her room she chose a casual dress for herself.

Meanwhile Maruschka and Hanna also came out with towels wrapped around their bodies.

They stood there shy and silent looking downwards.

"What's wrong? Why don't you two get dressed?" Erika asked glancing at them.

"Actually umm....." Hanna tried to say but felt shy.

"Umm, we, we forgot bring clothes with us." Hanna stuttered at first but finally spoke in one breath as quick as she could.

Erika sighed shaking her head.

They were so excited to come with Erika and take a bath with her that they forgot about their clothes.

"What'd I do with the two of you?" She said and then gave them two dresses she thought would look best on them.

They both seemed extremely happy and quickly wore the dress and showed it off to Erika.

She praised them, "Both of you look beautiful."

At this praise both of their faces turned pink in shyness.

"But, don't I look more beautiful? Please say the truth." Maruschka said eagerly.

After dressing up, the trio came down.

Erika mentally prepared herself for all those questions she was about to face.

Her cat was out of the bag and she had to explain about everything. Though she wanted to maintain some secrecy about her plans.

In the dining room as they sat down along with their parents at the dining table.

It was a dark night.

Though there was a moon in the sky, it was not that bright.

Prince Theodore and his Generals were still planning their future course of action whether to press on the attack or retreat.

While armed sentries guarded the place.

One of the sentries heard the sound of horses galloping in the darkness.

As he put up the torch to try and see what was in front, he was shot.

Before the sentry could realise what was going on, he felt a sharp pain in his chest and powerless in his feet.

Before he could even fall down, a horse carriage raced over him, killing him in an instant.

The camp was in a chaos as horse carriages all mounting machine guns raced into the camp shooting anyone in their sights.

The captain of the company had divided his troops of twenty carriages into four platoons of five.

Three platoons entered from three different directions while the other bypassed the camp and stood waiting at the rear of it to cut off any retreats.

The gunners in the carriages shot down anyone who came out of the tents or tried to attack the carriages.

every carriage supported each other by cover the blind zones.

As they passed by the tents, the loaders on board lobbed grenades into the tents.

The whole scene turned into a bloody massacre. Soldiers were trampled under the carriages and even under their own panicked comrades.

Many sleeping soldiers were blown up inside the tents.

Wailing of the wounded and cries for life filled the camp as fifteen tachankas wreaked havoc.

Soon prince Theodore heard the noise outside. He was irritated by the noise outside and was about to go to check.

His generals and staffs that were present were shocked and surprised at what was going on as well.

They looked at each other in fear and curiosity.

At that moment, a knight rushed into the tent and pushed the prince outside.

He covered him by lying over him.

As the prince was about to brush the knight aside, he saw the tent blow up and a carriage drive past it.

The scouts in carriages had recognised the distinct looking large tents at the center of the camp and targeted them.

Soon many tachankas drove towards the center while lobbing grenades into the passing tents and crushing many other under them.

The sentries and knights tried to stop them vigorously but were shot from the machine guns.

Some knights tried to mount their horses and but were shot when they tried to loosen their bonds.

Many horses were shot in the dark as well and their wailing made the other horses uncontrollable.

Soon a carriage reached the biggest tent in the center and lobbed a grenade into it, blowing the entire thing with everyone inside up.

Amongst all the generals and staff present inside, only the prince was able to survive.

There was no organised resistance, and the panic stricken soldiers soon started to run away.

But it seemed that luck didn't favour them. They fell directly in front of the platoon placed in the rear of the camp.

Many were shot and the others now ran in whichever directions they could.

The gunners in the tachankas maintained a constant rate of firing only stopping for a few seconds to change the overheated barrels.

But the constant sound of the galloping horses and the carriages colliding with tents and crushing anyone inside including the grenades blowing up, took their toll on the soldiers of Royal Army.

In the span of less than a day they were attacked twice by an unstoppable enemy that destroyed the entire combined army.

The prince laid down outside his now burning wreck of a tent covered by his knight who was still over him.

A tachanka almost drove over him but the knight over him saved his life.

Though the knight himself was crushed underneath the tachanka.

Noticing that there was no way he could remain in the camp anymore, he dashed outside.

Horror struck his face as he ran for his life alone in the dark night.

Under the cover of darkness, he followed the road out of the duchy's territory.

He was forced to lye down again amongst the dead corpse of the retreating soldiers who were mowed down by machine gun from the blocking platoon.

When, the gunner in a tachanka noticed that some more people were approaching, he fired a burst.

Luckily for the prince under the darkness, the gunner couldn't locate him accurately and missed to land a fatal hit.

A bullet brushed past his left thigh, which made him fall down motionless.

This was the first time in his life that he endured pain.

Now as instincts and tiredness took over, his body automatically stopped moving.

He felt that he has no strength left and slowly closed his eyes.

Soon, the attack came to an end. With the collapse of the Royal Army, the tachankas now started to head back.

Only the dead and wounded remained in the camp and everyone else ran away.

The generals had all died in the prince's tent and other officers were either dead or ran away.

Those who ran behind were also shot. So there was no longer any Royal Army left.

The commander's carriage came to the blocking platoon and the commander ordered them to move out.

The next day morning they'd brag to their beloved kommandant Erika about it.
