Rebirth in HxH World With Gardevoir

Chapter 35: Gardevoir Teleport

In Satotz's case, information was his greatest weapon. The moment someone knew how Field Imitator worked, its effectiveness dropped drastically. Operators were often like this—their strength relied on deception. Piyon assumed Satotz wouldn't last until reinforcements arrived, so she worked quickly to find a way to turn the fight around.

But then— A small mistake. It was barely noticeable. A split-second delay in Satotz's movement. But that was all Wrath needed. "Hahahaha! What a shame! You slipped up!" Wrath's wild laughter echoed through the cavern. His entire body flared with blood-red aura, his presence like a rampaging beast.

He saw an opening—And he didn't hesitate. BAM! His fist tore through the air, heading straight for Satotz's exposed side.

"Damn!" Satotz's pupils shrank. Instinct took over. He poured every ounce of aura into his left shoulder, reinforcing it just in time to lessen the blow.

BOOM!

Wrath's devastating punch connected cleanly, sending shockwaves through Satotz's entire body. The impact sent him flying backward, forcing him to skid across the ground before he could finally stop. But he had used the momentum of the hit to lessen the impact. If he had taken that attack without reinforcement, his entire shoulder would have been destroyed. Instead, he only suffered a minor wound—a tear in his suit, some blood dripping down his arm, but nothing too severe.

"Heh. Not bad." Wrath rolled his shoulder, still grinning. "You got some skills, huh? I like that." His blood-red aura surged again, stronger than before. "Alright. I'll get serious this time."

Satotz exhaled slowly. His usual calm, refined demeanor was gone. His normally pristine, well-tailored suit now had a large tear in the shoulder, and his left sleeve was stained with blood. But more importantly— His expression had changed. His usual charming smirk had vanished. His eyes were now filled with cold calculation.

Satotz could tell right away— Wrath's aura hadn't diminished. It had been restored. His first assumption had been that Wrath's ability was just simple healing. But no—the amount of aura he regained was far greater than expected. "This is worse than I thought…" Cold sweat dripped down Satotz's forehead. His original plan was ruined. His idea had been to drain Wrath's stamina and then lock him down with his Nen ability when the moment was right. But now… Winning was out of the question. Now, his only option was to stall until reinforcements arrived.

Piyon , still analyzing on her phone, had been watching the fight closely. She had no idea what Satotz's ability was, but she could tell from his expression— He had abandoned the idea of winning. He was now just trying to buy time. Her fingers moved even faster. Her emergency signal had already been sent. But reinforcements wouldn't arrive immediately. They needed minutes. Could Satotz last that long? She had to help. Even if she couldn't fight, even if she wasn't strong enough, she could still do something. She clenched her phone tightly. She would not stand by and do nothing. Not while her friends were in danger.

Satotz had switched to a completely defensive stance. Before, he had fought like a raging bull, trading blows head-on. Now, he moved like a nimble monkey, slipping through the gaps in Wrath's attacks with fluid, almost unnatural agility. Larry couldn't help but wonder—'had Satotz practiced yoga?'

Time and time again, Wrath's fists barely missed their mark, only for Satotz to escape at the last second with evasive movements that defied common logic. Larry gathered his thoughts. The battle between Satotz and Wrath was certainly intense—but his real concern was Envy. The thin, corpse-like man had been watching him the entire time. Not just watching—staring. "Ke ke ke ke ke..." A slow, raspy laugh echoed through the dark cave. It was Envy. His voice was dry and cracked, his hoarse laughter sending an eerie chill through the air. "So, you really want me to play too, huh...?" Ignoring Wrath's ongoing fight, Envy took a step forward, his sinister triangular eyes locking onto Larry.

Each step he took was slow, deliberate, as if savoring the moment. From his perspective, Satotz—the strongest of the three—was already occupied. That left only Piyon and Larry. And since Piyon wasn't a fighter, that meant Larry was completely helpless. In other words—easy prey. To him, Gengar's earlier Shadow Ball had been nothing more than a fluke—a weak, meaningless attack that hadn't impressed him in the slightest.

The moment Envy stepped into the fight, both Piyon and Satotz's faces darkened. Wrath alone was already too much for them to handle. They had only managed to survive this long by dragging the fight out. Now, with Envy joining in, they had entered the worst-case scenario. Two members of the Seven Deadly Sins, fighting together. Piyon stopped typing on her phone, her fingers freezing mid-motion. For the first time, she felt helpless. She had hoped Netero's reputation would be enough to keep her out of harm's way. But that meant nothing for Larry or Satotz. Her brain raced, searching for any possible strategy. Nothing. There was no solution. No way out. She glanced at Larry—who still looked completely indifferent. And in that moment— She made her decision.

"Piyon , what are you doing?" Larry raised an eyebrow as Piyon suddenly stepped in front of him. She spread her arms slightly, shielding him from Envy's approach. Her left hand formed a palm, while her right hand gripped her phone tightly in a combat stance. A small but solid burst of aura erupted from her. "What else?" She took a deep breath and tightened her stance. "I'm protecting my friend."

Envy's laughter erupted again, sharper this time, like the cackling of a dying bird. "Ke ke… A friend, you say?" His expression twisted into something even more grotesque. "Fine. I won't kill you… but I'll make sure you suffer while you 'protect' your little friend."

From beneath his robe, dozens of writhing, multicolored snakes slithered out. Some crawled from his sleeves. Others poured out from under his cloak like a living flood.

Each one was not a real snake— But a manifested Nen beast, composed of pure, lethal poison. Venomous King Snakes One of Envy's deadliest creations. Formed from concentrated toxins mixed with aura, they could deliver instant death with a single bite.

As the swarm of snakes surged toward them, Piyon 's heart clenched. Her body screamed at her to run— But she stood firm. Then— Larry's voice cut through the air. "Gardevoir. Calm Mind. Teleport."

In the blink of an eye, Piyon found herself somehow behind Larry. Before she could even process what had happened— The swarm of snakes shattered mid-air. The venomous creatures exploded into shimmering fragments of Nen, their remains dissolving into nothingness. Piyon 's eyes widened in shock.
