Chapter 67: New Member Candidates
"Come on!... Stop moping around already. It's not like Lucent hates you now, BlueB*. In fact, it's kind of gross how he likes you even more even after seeing you acting like a total villainess."
"Hey! Gross is kind of a harsh word."
"Fine!... Weird it is then. The point is, try to cheer up your wife, Lucent!'
After another half-hour of Luel comforting BlueHeroine who has been moping like a child due to overloading her mind with embarrassing memories of her darkest past as a RAIDS ONLINE player, the Guardian Beast team finally gets back into the discussion of the things they need to accomplish to have a chance of winning against the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus.
"I will set up a meeting with the Aurora Guild later. But first, we need to get hold of some new members for BlueB*'s little team."
...DING!...
After saying her remark, SilverPup sent a message to BlueHeroine.
"I want you and Lucent to look after this RAIDS ONLINE player named Horizon, BlueB*."
Since BlueHeroine is still in a daze due to total embarrassment, Luel handles the conversation with SilverPup.
"Why us, SilverPup?"
"Aside from the fact that I'm doing almost everything, Lucent. Horizon was a player that has already stopped playing RAIDS ONLINE for a while even though she managed to break through the 50 percent Link Force boundary."
Luel immediately got an idea as to why someone would stop playing RAIDS ONLINE after breaking through the 50 percent Link Force.
Maybe what Horizon saw in her Player's Nightmare is something so terrifying that she couldn't dare to play RAIDS ONLINE any longer with her nightmare always appearing in her dream every night. Or so Luel thought.
But still, there is another reason as to why she possibly quit.
"She's not among the players you secretly feed to high-ranking Ragnarok Beasts just to gather information which makes her quit, right SilverPup?"
"Hey!... Where is this accusation coming from, Lucent? Trying to defend that your wife isn't the only one with a dark history?"
"Isn't she, SilverPup?"
Feeling guilty of her past crime against Luel, SilverPup admitted the truth to him. Or at least to some degree.
"Maybe she is, maybe not! But I'm sure she didn't quit because of that!"
"Fine. I take your word, SilverPup."
"Sheesh!... You're so suspicious of everything except BlueB*, Lucent."
After getting the topic about her past crime set aside, SilverPup continues to explain why the Guardian Beast needs Horizon as a new member or at least her help to win against Icarus.
Since the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus has a Flame Attribute, the Guardian Beast team needs a player that could rival and has an advantage against Flame Attribute.
That's where Horizon will be useful since she belongs to the only Devour Beast Class that has an absolute advantage when it comes to Ragnarok Beasts that use Flame Attribute.
The Devour Azure Beast Asherah. The only Devour Beast Class avatar that can tread on the ocean and use Water Attribute.
As to why Luel and BlueHeroine are the ones looking for her, it is because BlueHeroine can use her authority as a RAIDS ONLINE officer to look at Horizon's personal information and meet her in real life, while Luel needs to convince her to join the Guardian Beast team.
"Don't expect anyone to join our team if BlueB* is the one handling the invitation. Anyway, leave the second player to me. We can deal with the Aurora Guild after talking with the new member candidates."
The Guardian Beast then logs out of RAIDS ONLINE immediately after their discussion, before the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus can sniff out BlueHeroine and come hunting for her.

The next morning, right after eating breakfast that Luel prepared for the two of them, Amy spent the rest of the morning logging into the RAIDS ONLINE officer's channel to ask for information about the RAIDS ONLINE player Horizon.
Right before lunch, Amy finally compiles all the information they need to meet Horizon in real life.
"We're not traveling abroad to meet Horizon, aren't we Amy?"
Luel took a sit on the balcony where Amy was resting and asked about her research regarding Horizon.
Meeting RAIDS ONLINE players in real life has two major flaws. Amy was indeed fortunate that she and Luel lived in the same country and were able to meet in real life easily. Or so Amy explains to Luel.
First, since RAIDS ONLINE is being played by millions of players worldwide, it is likely that Horizon is a foreigner living in a different country. Luckily for Luel and Amy...
"Horizon is indeed a foreigner but she's in our country right now, Luel."
"She?..."
The second flaw is that RAIDS ONLINE players sometimes reverse their gender in creating their avatar. That's why it is not uncommon to find a dude in real life who was playing as a girl in a game. Thankfully, as Luel thought, Horizon is not among one of those gender benders like a certain someone.
"Her real name is Kaida, and she's a bit older than us at the age of 26."
After saying a bit of introduction about Kaida, Amy passed the tablet she was using to Luel for him to read the rest of Kaida's personal information.
The first thing that catches Luel's attention is Kaida's look. A young black tanned-skinned Asian girl with short black hair. She's quite young looking for her age and is indeed attractive too, but it's not what is most impressive about Kaida.
"Amy, isn't she?..."
"Well, she's some kind of a celebrity. Not in the entertainment industry like me but more of an environment influencer, as a professional marine biologist, and a surfer athlete."
"So that's why she looks familiar. I've probably seen her on social media before."
"To become a RAIDS ONLINE player with a Devour Beast Class Asherah that uses Water Attribute, isn't that too much of a coincidence to her real-life profession?"
Luel and Amy continue their conversation about Kaida until they finally settle their plan to meet her in real life.
"She's currently at the North-Seacoast City. It's a one-day drive from here, so we'll leave the day after tomorrow to meet her before she leaves the country."
"You know I still can't drive, right Amy?"
"It's fine. I have a driving license too, Luel. You can just take it easy on the passenger seat and admire my driving skill."
