Pretending to Be an Untouchable Crime Boss

Chapter 303: Deal.

One thing was sure about this whole situation… it will bring change… and of course it will bring change when now it wasn't just about the criminal underworld, it wasn't just about national politics, but much more than that… it was about international politics that James put his hand into, even if he didn't really want to do it, or more like he was played into it.

Though if it worked out well, then nothing was going to be in danger, but the needed change was going to happen.

Maraci's government is not dumb, no, they are trained people, people who fought for their freedom, people who bled, people who changed the whole system and became a peaceful country that is the safest in the world… at least on the surface. Because beneath the act, beneath this dreamlike country, they are maybe the most aggressive one in terms of how they are operating.

Darvik already showed a glimpse of it, he made the deal with James, he just showed him how it worked. The country is operating with the criminal underworld's most powerful figures bringing in billions, and not just them, the scammers, the frauds, the billionaires, everybody who has a lot of money but wants to skip some rules are going to Maraci to make a deal with them.

But with it, there is a problem.

They still need outside help like every other country in the world, because yeah, they are rich in minerals, in diamonds and such, but their agriculture is weak, as well as in every other aspect they are all below average. And it's thanks to the exact thing they concentrated on, to make money, to make connections, to bring peace, to push up the economy with blood money… but if there is nothing backing that up, if there is no progression, then it can collapse. Yeah, there is only the blood money keeping everything up, but nothing that could back it up, only the minerals that they sell under the rug to other countries.

The sanctions truly fucked them up.

And that is exactly why it can bring change to both countries, if it is played well. Though of course Darvik already made it all seem like a war with how he treated Linda, but he just told the truth. They are shit right now, but he too knows very well not to wage a war, or blackmail, or any other thing, but to acutely make a good connection a good deal.

Deals that can change both countries, that can push both countries in a way that they can cooperate with each other.

Maraci needs agricultural development, as well as every other aspect. They need deals, they need foreign manufacturers to build factories, to invest and with it to back up the economy, while on the other hand… Linda, they need everything.

From factories to minerals, from export to import, they need to pump up everything that is possible. They need to pump every part of the economy, not just one side, but all of it together. They need to raise the minimum wage so people can live, they need to raise the standard of life so people stop feeling left behind. They need to fix the poor regions, the favelas.. They need to bring in more factories, not small ones that pay nothing, but big ones with large wages, places where people can actually build a future. They need to make international deals, real ones that give stability, not just short trades under the rug.

And they need to face the hard things too.

They need to finally do something about the criminals, the corruption, the people who take money and give nothing back… and of course, sooner or later, they need to start dealing with James.

From factories to minerals, from export to import, from wages to streets, from poor to rich, from law to crime… everything needs to be pushed forward.

But once again the priority falls on one final thing, to clean everything up from the corruption.

That's the center, the heart of the problem, and that's why it feels too much to handle, because they are already falling back, because every single corrupt motherfucker is no longer doing their job, but instead spending all their time trying to protect themselves and their money. They move the cash out, hide it in offshore accounts, push it into fake trust funds, or dump it into crypto accounts… they started doing it the moment they heard the speeches.

So first, before anything else, they need to arrest every last one of them. Drag them out from their offices, from their homes, and shoot them up and throw their bodies into a pitch.

Show the nation that they didn't joke about taking serious steps to deal with criminals and corrupt ministers, lawmakers, and every single politician, they are going to die, they are going to be shot like dogs.

But if they actually do that, if they arrest hundreds of high-ranking people, people who sit in powerful positions, who hold influence in the army, in business, in politics, in the courts… then who the fuck are they going to put in their places?

Because you can't just erase corruption by killing everbody… you need people to fill them, or if not… then truly do it like a dictatorial government.

All the positions that are law enforcement group up under one person, like Benjamin not only going to be the Director of the NSBI but now under him going to be like five other agencies or offices, and so on to Thomas, Stephen, and to those people who they trust.

In that way, it can work, especially when they already have people with them who they trust… yeah, maybe Darvik's phone call, maybe the cartel attack wasn't even bad.

It started the whole procedure rather than letting them sit on their ass while the country is robbed… not just that, but… cleaning the streets… because Hector would definitely start to do exactly that.
