"This is Moon View Mountain. I bet the wild Pokémon here can't wait to challenge us. You two better be prepared," Tyson said with excitement, addressing Charmeleon and Eevee as they stood at the base of the mountain.

Unlike Eevee, who was eager for battle, Tyson's excitement stemmed more from the thought of earning mission points as they traversed Moon View Mountain. Each point brought him closer to his goal: mastering Charmeleon's Flamethrower at its maximum proficiency.

He glanced at the system menu. Raising a move with 90 base powers to maximum proficiency required a daunting 5,000 mission points. Every time he saw the number, Tyson couldn't help but feel the system was teasing him.

"With these missions only rewarding a few dozen points at a time, it'll take me months—maybe even a year—to boost just one move," he muttered with a sigh.

Suddenly, he released Abra from its Poké Ball. "You should get some fresh air too. If you keep hiding in there, you'll grow mold," Tyson joked, though his tone was tinged with exasperation.

Abra blinked and lazily touched its belly, as though asking, Isn't it time for food?

Tyson facepalmed. "You're not even hungry, are you? Listen, Abra, you need to start focusing on sensing your evolution. Try to grasp that feeling—like there's energy ready to burst out of you. Understand?"

Abra didn't fully comprehend but nodded earnestly before dozing off again in Tyson's arms. Shaking his head, Tyson decided to let it be. He was confident that with time and training, Abra would find its path to evolution.

As they climbed the mountain, Tyson encountered their first wild Pokémon: a Paras. Scanning its stats, he saw it was of "Competent" strength, not enough to warrant Charmeleon's attention.

"Eevee, this one's all yours," Tyson commanded.

Eevee looked at Charmeleon, hoping to negotiate for a turn-sharing system, but Tyson quickly cut in.

"Remember, Eevee, the more battles you fight, the faster you'll break through to Advanced strength. If you slack off now, you'll just end up doing extra training later."

Eevee begrudgingly accepted the logic. Resolving to work hard now for longer breaks later, Eevee charged into the battle with newfound determination.

"Use Swift!" Tyson ordered.

Bright stars of energy shot from Eevee, overwhelming Paras before it could react. The mushroom Pokémon tried to counter with Fury Cutter, but the Swift attack hit true, leaving Paras defenseless. Eevee followed up with a Tackle, ending the battle quickly.

Paras fainted, but not before sighing with what could only be interpreted as relief—it was spared from facing Charmeleon.

Tyson continued hunting for opponents, battling one Paras after another. Thanks to the mission points system, Tyson viewed every encounter as a valuable opportunity, regardless of the wild Pokémon's strength. Eevee, now fully warmed up, quickly overwhelmed each Paras they came across.

Before long, word spread among the Paras population. They began avoiding Tyson's team, unwilling to endure the same fate. However, a few brave Paras stepped up, curious to test Eevee's strength. Needless to say, the results were the same.

By the time they reached the mountainside, the terrain had shifted. Rock piles and shadowy caves became prominent. Tyson knew this area was home to Geodude, many of whom camouflaged themselves as boulders. The caves, on the other hand, housed Zubat and Golbat, often in overwhelming numbers.

Using the system's detection function, Tyson pinpointed three Geodude concealed among the rocks. One of them had "Excellent" strength.

"Alright, let's take them down quickly," Tyson declared. "Eevee, target the fourth rock on the left with Swift! Charmeleon, hit the third rock at the top with Dragon Breath!"

Both Pokémon launched their attacks without hesitation. The hidden Geodude, caught off guard, were struck hard.

Enraged by the ambush, the third Geodude broke cover, retaliating against both Eevee and Charmeleon. But it was too late—the first two Geodude were already knocked out.

Now outnumbered, the lone Geodude charged recklessly at Eevee and Charmeleon. Tyson smirked. "Looks like this one's volunteered to lose next."
