There was no group of brats in the breeding room, so it seemed a little quieter.
In the following time, Evan taught the three assistants a new energy cube formula.
After asking them to prepare it carefully, Evan sat quietly outside the breeding house, chatting with Lurantis from time to time.
In the backyard, Pokémon such as Pikachu and Charmander were still being trained by Gardevoir.
Everything seemed very peaceful.
Evan now only had the list in Violet's hand.
This list was due in a few months, so there was still time to take it slowly.
For now, he decided to use this time to train the three assistants.
After sitting for a while with nothing to do, Evan suddenly recalled some recipes for Pokémon snacks.
After thinking it over, he said to Lurantis:
"Lurantis, stay here and keep an eye on things. If any guests come, just call Isla and the others inside."
"I'll get you something delicious."
Hearing this, Lurantis' eyes lit up.
"Lura~~!!"
It raised its arm eagerly as if to say, Leave it to me.
Seeing this, Evan couldn't help but laugh.
"Then from today on, you'll be the poster girl here."
"I'll make you something delicious."
With that, Evan got up and walked out, heading to the back mountains to gather materials. He stopped by the workshop briefly to relay instructions, then grabbed a bucket and some tools before setting off.
Walking along the well-built path, Evan soon arrived at Beedrill's territory. The area was thriving, with an increasing number of Beedrills buzzing about. Some of them occasionally flew out to gather nectar elsewhere.
As Evan approached, the leader Beedrill flew forward to greet him.
"Beep~~!"
Not just the leader, but many other Beedrills waved towards Evan. They knew this was the person responsible for their food supply and wanted to show respect.
Without wasting time, Evan asked, "Do you have any honey left? I need some."
The leader Beedrill looked at the bucket Evan held and appeared momentarily speechless. The request seemed to imply it would deplete their newly collected stock.
But ultimately, it didn't matter. With the energy cubes Evan provided, honey was no longer essential to their diet. The leader nodded and gestured toward the bucket.
"Beep~!" (Give it here)
Evan handed over the bucket. The Beedrill leader flew into its hive and returned shortly with the bucket brimming with golden honey. Its rich fragrance sweetened the surrounding air.
Taking the honey-filled bucket, Evan nodded in satisfaction.
"Thanks. I'll make sure you get extra food later. I'm heading out."
With that, Evan carried the bucket down the mountain toward the orchard.
As for the extra food? Evan had it planned—Bug-type energy cubes that Isla and the others were currently working on. Feeding the Beedrills later would be no problem.
The leader Beedrill, watching Evan leave, grew excited at the prospect of a treat. It promptly rallied its colony to resume their duties—patrolling and collecting nectar as usual.
At the orchard, Evan scanned the area for the Grass-type Pokémon hiding among the trees. He called out cheerfully:
"Bounsweet, Exeggutor, are you here? Come over here!"
Hearing Evan's voice, several Bounsweets emerged from nearby, eager to see what he had in store.
Not long after, Exeggutor appeared before Evan, accompanied by a group of bouncing Exeggcutes.
All the Pokémon looked at Evan with curious eyes, clearly puzzled as to why he had called them over.
Seeing them arrive, Evan smiled warmly.
"Exeggutor, Bounsweet, come with me," he said. "I'll need your help with something."
With that, Evan began walking toward the yard. Bounsweet and Exeggutor hurried after him, while the Exeggcutes were promptly sent back by Exeggutor.
The other Grass-type Pokémon watched with curiosity, wondering what Evan was planning.
Once back in the breeding house yard, Evan set the bucket of honey aside and went inside briefly. He returned with a pair of scissors in hand.
"Exeggutor," Evan said, "I need some of the green leaves from your head."
Exeggutor froze, puzzled by the request.
What is this for? A haircut?
Sensing their hesitation, Evan gave a friendly yet firm smile. To ensure cooperation, he used a burst of Psychic energy. The intense aura left the Exeggutors trembling, their eyes wide with alarm.
"You don't want to help me?" Evan asked with an unsettlingly sweet tone.
Startled, Exeggutor quickly nodded, loudly agreeing to the request.
"Good," Evan said with satisfaction. "Don't worry—it won't hurt. I just need to cut a little."
With practiced efficiency, Evan trimmed some leaves from Exeggutor's head. In moments, the once-lush leaves were reduced to stubs, leaving Exeggutor looking bare and sheepish.
"Alright, you're free to go," Evan said, waving them off.
Exeggutor retreated quickly, muttering complaints under their breath.
What a scoundrel! they thought, but they dared not protest aloud.
From the side, the Bounsweets had watched everything unfold. Seeing Exeggutor's fate, they grew nervous. Was Evan going to target them next?
Evan, now finished with Exeggutor, neatly set aside the gathered leaves. Then he turned to the Bounsweets, his smile widening.
"Your turn," he said cheerfully.
The Bounsweets froze, horrified. But their fears were quickly allayed as Evan gently extracted some juice from their bodies. The process was painless, and Evan made sure to reassure them.
"Don't worry, it's just a little juice. You're helping me create something special," he explained.
Bounsweet, resembling mangosteen, naturally produced juice when squeezed. Evan carefully collected just enough for his needs without causing them discomfort.
Once he had filled a small cup, Evan nodded in satisfaction.
"That's it. You're good to go," he said with a kind smile.
The relieved Bounsweets quickly scampered away, their earlier anxiety forgotten.
With the juice collected, Evan added it to the honey in the bucket. The combination created a sweet, fragrant blend that filled the air with an irresistible aroma.
"Perfect," Evan murmured as he placed a lid over the bucket. He then carried it back to the workshop, ready to use the mixture in his next creation.
