This morning, Evan got up early.

Today, he would walk the little ones from the orphanage to the intersection. Starting today, it would be their first day back at school.

After washing up, Evan called Pikachu and Charmander and headed toward the orphanage.

When they arrived, the group of children was already waiting.

"Brother Evan!!"

Seeing him approach, they hurried forward, their faces glowing with happiness.

Evan couldn't help but smile at the sight.

"Be good at school, okay?" he said. "Take care of each other, especially my younger sisters. Don't let anyone bully them."

He turned specifically to Tiger and added, "And you, Tiger, keep an eye out for trouble, alright?"

Evan began gently lecturing the kids, his concern evident. He knew how easily children from the orphanage could become targets for bullying at school.

Tiger nodded seriously, his expression firm. "With me here, no one will dare bully us."

The little boy's determination was clear, and Evan could tell Tiger wasn't one to be trifled with. Despite his scrappy appearance, his academic results were stellar, proving he wasn't just tough—he was smart, too.

Satisfied, Evan nodded, then reached into his pocket to pull out his wallet. He took out a few bills and handed them to Bexley.

"For lunch," he said. "If the school food isn't good, take your younger siblings to eat outside. You're the clever one—I trust you'll know what to do."

Bexley beamed as he took the money. "Okay, Brother Evan! I will!"

He pocketed the money with a big grin, while the other children looked on, excitement lighting up their faces.

Just then, Isla stepped out of the orphanage, frowning. "Evan, you gave them money again? They'll just waste it."

She crossed her arms. "The school cafeteria has food. Why give them extra money?"

Turning to Bexley, she scolded, "Give it back to Evan! What's the point of buying lunch when food is already paid for?"

Bexley hesitated, glancing between the money in his hand and Isla's stern expression.

Before he could decide, Evan interrupted. "It's alright, Isla. Don't worry. I know how school cafeteria food is—they'd barely take two bites."

He looked back at Bexley. "Keep the money, but don't spend it recklessly. If you're hungry, buy something for everyone, alright?"

Bexley nodded eagerly, his embarrassment melting away as he tucked the money safely into his pocket.

Coming here as a student, doesn't Evan already know what's going on in school?

Otherwise, why would he give money to these little ones?

Hearing Evan's explanation, Aunt Jenn was left speechless. However, seeing the determined look on his face, she chose not to press further. After all, Evan was earning money now, and it made sense for him to dote on his younger siblings from the orphanage.

With a sigh, she muttered, "Don't spoil them too much."

Evan chuckled at her words. "Spoil them? That won't happen."

Bexley, noticing Aunt Jenn had dropped the subject, quickly tucked the money away, his grin growing wider. His bright face showed just how much he appreciated the gesture.

Evan patted Bexley's head and said, "Alright, let's go. The school bus is almost here."

Hearing this, the children nodded enthusiastically and began heading outside. Evan followed closely behind, keeping an eye on them as they reached the intersection.

There, Evan started giving them more instructions. "When you're at school, don't pick fights with anyone," he began, pausing to let the advice sink in. "But if someone bullies you, don't be a coward."

"If the other person throws the first punch, you fight back. But if they're just shouting insults, ignore them—or better yet, play a prank on them. Something harmless, like... taking off their pants."

The children stared at Evan, speechless.

"Brother Evan, you're so bad!" Luna exclaimed, looking horrified. "That's embarrassing for everyone involved!"

Evan grinned confidently. "I'm not bad; that's called justice. If someone bullies you, they need to learn a lesson they won't forget. Understand?"

"If you encounter any real trouble, tell me when you come back. I'll speak with your teacher myself."

Hearing this, the children looked at Evan with wide-eyed admiration.

"Okay, Brother Evan!" they chimed.

As Evan finished his advice, the school bus finally arrived. He handed the children over to the teacher accompanying the bus, giving a final wave as they boarded. Once the bus pulled away, Evan began his walk back to the breeding house.

Evan wasn't worried about the children being bullied at school. The principal, a close friend of the orphanage's old dean, had always been protective of the orphans, ensuring they were well cared for. Having attended the same school himself, Evan knew firsthand how supportive the staff could be. The principal's influence was enough to ensure that even if Evan had been picked on as a child, the bullies were swiftly dealt with and never tried again.

Still, Evan couldn't help but worry a little. He figured his advice about pranks like pulling pants down probably wouldn't be followed, but it was a harmless suggestion meant to make the children laugh. At most, it would leave their bullies red-faced and teary-eyed.

When Evan returned to the breeding house, he saw Isla and the others already hard at work feeding the Pokémon. Many of the grass-type Pokémon had woken up and were eagerly munching on the day's batch of energy cubes.

Since the team had produced quite a few substandard cubes while practicing yesterday, the Pokémon had an unexpected feast today. The grass-types, in particular, seemed thrilled with the surplus.

Seeing their joy, Evan tilted his head in amusement. "If they keep eating like this, they'll all turn into powerhouses, won't they?" he mused with a grin.

The thought was amusing. "Well, not likely," he admitted to himself. "You can't get stronger just by eating."

Shaking his head, Evan decided not to dwell on it. While the extra nutrition might help the Pokémon grow stronger, it wouldn't be overwhelming. After all, training and effort were still the keys to true strength.

Still, the image of a room full of bulky, overpowered grass-types was hilarious to imagine.

"Ah, that's just a dream," he chuckled. "In the end, it depends on their own potential."

Smiling, Evan moved to join the others, ready to lend a hand.
