Pokemon : I Am A Breeder/Champion

Chapter 50: 50. Whole family!!

Gallade looked deeply at his sister, a mix of helplessness and quiet happiness in his gaze.

Without hesitation, Gallade stood up.

If Gardevoir tried to speak to Evan now, it wouldn't work.

So, it decided to handle the situation itself.

Gallade turned to face Evan.

Evan also looked back at the Pokémon.

"Hello!"

A serious, youthful male voice resonated in Evan's mind.

Gallade, unmistakably male, had evolved into this form rather than becoming a female Gardevoir when it was still a Kirlia. This must have been due to some unique circumstances or opportunities.

As these thoughts crossed his mind, Evan greeted Gallade aloud.

"Hello!"

The two fell into an awkward silence, neither quite sure what to say next.

Gallade, equally uncertain, hesitated. What should it say?

At that moment, Gardevoir recovered from her own hesitation. With a touch of embarrassment, she addressed Evan directly through Psychic communication.

"I'm sorry!"

"Excuse me."

"Please take care of my brother."

"He told me he wishes to stay with you temporarily so that you can help him grow stronger."

"I heard him singing last night, and that's why I came here."

"I've thought about everything my brother said just now."

"If you don't mind, I'm willing to let you catch him."

Her thoughts were tinged with shyness, but the sincerity in her voice was clear. Evan, overwhelmed by the powerful Psychic energy in her words, felt there was no way to refuse.

Gallade glanced at his sister, then added, speaking clearly:

"Take me as well—and my many sisters."

"If you do not mind."

This small family of Pokémon included Gardevoir, Gallade, two Kirlia, and a Ralts—five in total.

Would this human accept them all? Gallade wondered.

If Evan refused, Gallade had already decided that his sister could remain, continuing her wandering journey alone. For her sake, he was willing to go to any lengths to find a good trainer.

Evan's eyes lit up with excitement as he listened to their words. Was his extraordinary luck kicking in again?

He didn't dwell on it for long. Whatever the reason, he couldn't afford to hesitate. Both Gardevoir and Gallade had made their feelings clear.

Evan immediately agreed, his tone firm and enthusiastic.

"If you're all willing to stay, I'd be honored to have you."

"I promise you won't need to worry about food or drink."

"Not only that, but I'll also prepare special, exclusive Pokéblocks for you!"

Evan's determination was evident. If these Pokémon had chosen to follow him when he was struggling, he'd have done whatever it took to care for them. But now that he had resources, he could support as many as he needed.

Gardevoir was especially valuable—not just as a partner, but as an assistant. Gallade, on the other hand, could serve as a guardian. If these two had arrived a few days earlier, Evan might not even have needed to recruit help. Together, they were more capable than any assistant or security guard.

Hearing his heartfelt words, the Pokémon's eyes brightened with excitement and joy.

"Please take care of me!" Gallade said first.

He stepped forward and extended his hand in a knightly salute.

The shiny Gardevoir beside Gallade nodded excitedly, her emotions plain to see.

Evan, feeling the weight of the moment, quickly pulled out a Poké Ball. For some reason, a wave of nervousness overtook him—it was his first time doing this, after all.

"Um… would you like to come in?" Evan asked, his voice tinged with unease. "Don't worry, I won't restrict your freedom."

"You'll still be able to live outside most of the time," he assured them. "It's just that during battles, you'll need to return to the Poké Ball so I can send you out."

He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Not that I'll be battling much. I'm not exactly a serious Trainer."

Gallade and Gardevoir exchanged a knowing glance, their eyes twinkling with amusement. The corners of their mouths curved upward, charmed by Evan's sincerity.

This human seemed like a good choice, they thought.

Without hesitation, the two Pokémon stepped forward. As they stood before him, Gallade suddenly paused, his attention turning to the three younger Pokémon behind him. Their wide, longing eyes were filled with hope.

Gallade turned back to Evan, his tone firm as he spoke through Psychic communication.

"I want you to take them too," he said.

"Can you put them in Poké Balls as well?"

Evan blinked, momentarily surprised by the request, but quickly nodded. "Of course!"

He rummaged through his bag, pulling out three additional Poké Balls. In addition to the one Professor Leo had given him, he'd bought a few extras earlier that day, thinking they might come in handy someday. He hadn't expected to need them so soon.

"Alright," Evan said, setting the Poké Balls on the ground, "come on, all of you! Let's do this together!"

The three younger Pokémon didn't hesitate. They dashed forward, eager to join their new Trainer.

One of the Kirlia ran straight up to Gardevoir, giving her a brief hug before reaching out to touch one of the Poké Balls. In a flash of red light, it disappeared inside.

A slightly dazed Ralts stumbled forward next, tripping over itself as it reached for another Poké Ball. It touched it with determination, vanishing into the light as well.

Evan watched, heart swelling with joy. He had officially gained an entire family of loyal Pokémon.

Seeing this, Evan couldn't help but suppress a smile, his excitement barely contained.

The other Kirlia, inspired by its siblings, eagerly stepped forward and entered the last empty Poké Ball.

With that, Gardevoir and Gallade exchanged a glance, relief evident in their expressions. Without further hesitation, they each approached a Poké Ball that Evan had set down. Picking them up with Psychic power, they transformed into red light and disappeared inside.

The Poké Balls fell softly to the ground, each trembling slightly before settling.

At that moment, Evan officially succeeded in capturing the entire Gardevoir family.

Watching the Poké Balls stop moving, a grin spread across Evan's face. He could hardly believe his luck.

What an incredible win! He thought, barely holding back the urge to leap into the air.

Quickly, he bent down to collect the Poké Balls. One by one, he opened them to release his newly captured team.

When they emerged, a joyous energy filled the air. Sophia's Ralts wasted no time teleporting directly into Gardevoir's arms, letting out cheerful cries as it hugged her tightly.

Meanwhile, Kirlia and Gardevoir both glanced at Evan, their expressions shy yet affectionate, like newlyweds adjusting to their new home.

Seeing this, Evan chuckled softly and spoke with warmth.

"Alright, everyone, come with me," he said, gesturing toward the nearby building. "I'm sure you haven't eaten yet."

"Let's go get something to eat first."

With that, he turned and started walking toward the breeding house, his new Pokémon family following close behind.

Off to the side, Pikachu watched the entire scene unfold, its expression shifting into something between confusion and disbelief.

Charmander, however, seemed delighted. The arrival of new companions clearly brought it joy, and it waved enthusiastically to greet them.

But Pikachu's gaze was different. Its eyes narrowed, a mixture of resentment and frustration evident on its face. This treatment felt... completely unfair.

Seriously? Pikachu thought. I've been here this whole time, and now these newcomers get all the attention?

In contrast, Charmander didn't seem to care, thrilled by the prospect of making new friends. Meanwhile, Pidgeot appeared to be missing, likely off scouting with a flock of Pidgey.

Pikachu sighed, crossing its arms with a pout. It's also your Pokémon, Evan! Why treat them so differently?
