Chapter 107: Alicia, The Fourth Angel
Raphael continued to lead the woman into the alleyway, where there was a ladder leading to the building beside the temple.
He swiftly began to climb with the angel close behind him.
He wondered if the woman was stupid, to follow a man through the alleyways at night. Or perhaps, she was just that confident in her ability to protect herself.
They continued their climb until they made their way to the spiralling heights of the Temple.
Once there, the two stood, wind blowing in their faces and looking around at the city below them.
"Was it around here that you saw him?" She asked with a furrowed eyebrow, scanning the surroundings of the rooftop.
Raphael nodded his head.
"Yes, it was here."
The Dragon King removed the hat from his head and allowed his long blonde hair to flow free. He shook his head to move the strands from his face and let out a sigh.
The Fourth Angel watched him for a few moments, at first confused as to what was going on. But once she realised, she leapt forward with a devastating swing of her hammer.
Raphael predicted it and dashed to the side, allowing the head of the weapon to crash through the roof of the temple.
The Angel wasted no time in pulling it free, beading her eyes towards her opponent.
"To think that I fell for such a foolish trap." She spat with a smirk. "No worries. You will fall here, False King."
Raphael called upon the Dragon's.
Rachael, Naomi, grant me your flames.
The Ender formed in his hands, its white and black fires dancing in the moonlight. As he took the blade in a two-handed grip and held it by his side, the fourth angel's eyes went wide.
Such was the effect that the weapon had on people.
"First, I'd like to ask for your name," Raphael said, standing tall atop the rooftop. He was surprised to find that the woman answered.
"Alicia, The Fourth Angel of King Helix."
Raphael nodded his head.
"Well, Alicia. You seem like a lovely woman, and I do not like to kill lovely women."
"Have you not killed the other angels already? The ones that came for you at the five schools."
Raphael recalled his encounters with angels sent to the schools.
Yuki, Seraphina, Lunel, Scarlett, Cat...
None of them he had killed.
"No, they have all been captured and currently reside in the dragon school."
A surprised look made its way into Alicia's face. She struggled to believe.
"I have only killed one Angel." He added.
The Fourth Angel's face twisted with confusion. From what she knew, the man had yet to meet any of the other angels.
"What do you mean? Who have you killed?"
Raphael flashed her a smile.
"Saint Michael, The First Angel. Impaled by this very blade."
Silence hung in the air for a few moments as Alicia regarded the situation and the man in front of her.
It can't be... Saint Michael, the Angel who is said to be the greatest of us all. The one who none of us have met.
Is he bluffing?
...
If he isn't, then I have no chance against him.
A few more moments of silence passed, as Raphael waited for a response.
Finally, Alicia strapped her Hammer back onto her back.
"If it is true, then I have no wish to fight you. My life is worth more than this."
Satisfaction flushed through Raphael, as he allowed the flames of The Ender to vanish.
Saves me from having to take another life.
"Good. Then I'll need you to come with me." Raphael responded, whilst making his way back towards the ladder.
Alicia remained where she was.
"What? Why?"
She thought that she would have just been able to go back to her life. Turn a blind eye towards the man in front of her, but she was wrong.
"You'll need to come with me as a hostage." He told her calmly. "It's a better alternative to death."
---
That night, Heather and Trevor were awake around the fireplace. They both wanted to sleep but were kept up by the situation they had put themselves in for different reasons.
Trevor was worried. Worried that the knights would barge in at any moment and announce them as treasoners.
While Heather was worried. Worried that Raphael would not return. That she would not get to feel his touch again.
When the door suddenly opened, they both swung their heads towards it.
In walked Raphael with a relaxed look on his face. And beside him, was the Fourth Angel.
Heather and Trevor jumped from their seats, confused, but ready to bow and pay their respects to her.
Alicia waved for them to sit dismissively. "No need." She said to them bluntly. "I'm in no position of authority at the moment."
The two hesitated before slowly taking a seat, as Raphael and Alicia made their way to the staircase.
"The Fourth Angel is here as a hostage. She will sleep in the room next to mine, and you will tell no one that she is here." Raphael said to the married couple.
They were both stunned in shock, but before they could say anything in response, Raphael led the woman upstairs.
The two stared at each other.
"By the gods... He's managed to capture an Angel." Trevor said in a whispered tone. The gravity of the situation had started to settle in. "Is there actually a chance that he succeeds in his mission? That he somehow overthrows King Helix as ruler of Snowdon?".
Heather sat there, hardly listening to the words of her husband. Instead, she twirled a strand of her honey hair idly, thinking about the Dragon King.
In just one day... In one day he has managed to capture the fourth strongest angel of King Helix...
The woman squeezed her thighs together, trying to stop the tingling feeling she felt running through her. Underneath her skirt, her undergarments grew a wet patch at the crotch.
Raphael... You're so strong.
The mere capabilities of the Dragon King filled her with extreme lust. So much so, that she no longer even wished to look at her husband of ten married years.
