Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 459: Sealed Realm Part 2

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

BOOOM!

Multiple explosions echoed as I continued to punch through the horde of huge spiders coming my way. Though they were only 15 feet tall but their numbers were staggering.

I estimated that I had already killed 10,000 of them, but they kept coming in waves. With each wave, the spiders grew stronger bit by bit.

The only silver lining was that they were fragile, so this time, I didn't use any Mind Power and simply relied on my combat abilities and raw physical attributes.

BOOOM!

As the final spider of the current wave dropped, I inhaled some air to take some breather. But there was no break.

The ground shook again, signaling the arrival of yet another wave. This time, the spiders were a bit smaller, standing at 14.9 feet tall, with slimmer, darker bodies and sharper legs.

With hordes of spiders closing in on me, I had to stay alert, my senses heightened.

As the first group surged forward, I planted my feet firmly on the ground, ready to engage. With lightning reflexes, I swung my fists, delivering powerful blows to the nearest spiders.

Each impact sent tremors through their soft bodies, crushing them under the force of my blows.

I remained vigilant, constantly scanning for any sign of movement from the encroaching horde.

With each punch and kick, I adjusted my stance, ensuring I maintained a clear path for movement. Dodging webs and leaping over fallen arachnids, I seamlessly transitioned between strikes, never allowing myself to be surrounded or cornered.

BOOOM!

With a swift kick, I sent a spider hurtling backward, its limbs flailing as it crashed into its comrades.

In the midst of the chaos, I spun around, delivering a series of rapid punches to the spiders closing in from all sides.

The impact of my blows echoed through the cavern, mingling with the sound of spider body exploding and screeches of the arachnids.

'Adjust, adapt, and survive,' echoed through my mind as I fought against the almost infinite waves of spiders. It was as if my body was moving on its own, instinctively responding to the threat without conscious thought.

As I continued to battle, a strange sensation washed over me. It was a feeling of discovery, of unlocking something new within myself.

With each movement, each strike, I felt a deeper connection to my own body, as if I were tapping into a reservoir of untapped potential.

'What is this feeling?' I muttered to myself, barely able to comprehend the sensations coursing through my veins. It was exhilarating but unsettling, like stepping into the unknown with no clear destination in sight.

But as the battle raged on, I embraced this newfound sense of awareness, allowing it to guide me. With each passing moment, I grew stronger, more attuned to the flow of combat.

The martial art I had learned from watching those Taoists was improving by leaps and bounds. I had thought I had already perfected it, but this test made me realize that there was still a lot more room for improvement.

'How strong will I become after this test?' I thought to myself, realizing that I would become even more overpowered as a result.

It was a good thing for me personally, but for some reason, I felt like there was something about this test. Your next chapter is on empire

'Why is the system training me so much?' I asked in my thoughts.

If I followed novel and anime logic, then receiving a power-up like this should come after facing an enemy so formidable that I would need to train like my life depend on it just to stand a chance at winning.

But my system operates on a different level of intelligence.

It had always been thinking ahead, granting me overwhelming advantages before a powerful enemy even appeared.

This led me to believe that I would face something incredibly powerful in the future—so powerful that Earth could potentially face total destruction.

Contemplating this, Sung Hei's vision of a scorched and destroyed Earth came to mind.

'Shit, maybe the future she saw was the real deal after all,' I sighed. All I wanted was to live in a peaceful world where humans would invent things for me to enjoy.

RINGGGGGG

Suddenly, a ringing sound filled my head, different from the usual notifications of the system. As the sound reverberated, my vision shifted, transforming into a sea of blue hues.

Everything around me became outlined in white lines, including the spiders.

In those lines, I could discern their weak points with startling clarity.

Without hesitation, my body instinctively targeted those vulnerabilities, enhancing the lethality of my attacks.

With this newfound sensation coursing through me, I pressed on, my movements fluid and precise. I felt my skills honing to perfection, every strike executed with deadly accuracy and devoid of any wasted energy.

The waves of spiders continued unabated, but I was no longer worried.

My efficiency had almost quadrupled, and with each passing moment, I felt myself growing stronger and more adept at dispatching them .

After dozen of hours of nonstop fighting, I finally achieved silence. The once noisy and chaotic cavern now lay still, the only sound the echo of my own breathing.

[System: Mission Success]

[Reward: Pending]

[Transferring Host to Sealed Realm Number 3]

"Another one?" I chuckled, already anticipating that my test was far from over.

But I'm not worried at all. I may not have the system to check my status, but I'm confident that my stats have improved significantly after all those battles.

I felt as though I had broken through to a completely different realm of power altogether.

My vision went black again, and I anticipated being transferred to brutal place. I was curious to see what challenge awaited me next.

However, my sight never returned.

This time, it was a place of pure darkness. I couldn't even see my own body—it was as if I never existed in the first place.

'Fuck, this might be the hardest one yet,' I clicked my tongue in annoyance.
