Neurolink System in the Modern World

Chapter 458: Sealed Realm

Experience new tales on empire

"Weather Essence Manipulation" I unleashed one of my most powerful abilities.

Instead of summoning flames as I had previously done, I concentrated on making rain fall in this dry land. Even though all that surrounded us was sand, there was still a bit of moisture in the air.

All I needed to do was trigger a chemical reaction, and like a chain reaction, a weather phenomenon would come into existence.

Above, clouds started to assemble, and shortly after, rain cascaded down along with strong gusts of wind.

Every now and then, lightning flashed across the sky, showcasing the depth of my abilities. This marked the first instance I had utilized this skill to such a remarkable extent.

"Quantum Magnet," I invoked another ability, positioning the central pulling point above my head. Lightning began to converge around it, and instead of dissipating, it started to intensify, growing larger and larger.

Seeing this, the humanoid beast went into attack mode to stop me from unleashing this skill.

"You can't do anything once I'm serious... Mirage," I declared, activating another skill.

In an instant, I transformed into 100,000 copies of myself, each imbued with its unique aura, aiming to confuse the humanoid monster.

It attempted to attack my copies in a desperate bid to find me, but it proved futile. Eventually, it came to the realization that it was powerless against my onslaught and fled to escape my sure kill attack

But how could I allow it to simply flee?

"Eradicate!" I exclaimed, pointing my fingers towards it, unleashing another Magnet Pulling force directed at the fleeing creature.

As the first pulling force dissipated, electricity erupted and swiftly latched onto the new pulling force. The lightning moved with instantaneous speed, leaving no chance for the creature to outrun its impending demise.

"CREEEEEEEEEEK!" It began to wail in agony as the electricity engulfed it. While it may have been capable of reflecting attacks, I was confident that it had its limitations. Among all elements, lightning possessed the most penetrating power.

Moreover, the water from the rain, which was also drawn in by the magnet, amplified the effect. This wasn't just ordinary rainwater; it was infused with highly concentrated ions, multiplying its conductivity and enhancing the destructive force.

The entire sky was ablaze with flashes but I was not done yet.

Utilizing my weather skill, I ensured to induce more elemental reactions, prolonging and intensifying each cycle of the lightning attack. It was now unquestionably as powerful as the Time Wraith's initial Light Wave attack that had decimated the entire stadium before.

As the lightning-infused force continued to drag the creature towards it's death, I couldn't help but feel satisfied. This power, this force that I wielded, was not to be trifled with. It was a force of nature, a manifestation how much destruction I could cause if I went crazy.

The creature's struggles grew weaker, its screams fading into the distance.

When it was all over, nothing remained.

"You're a good practice partner," I complimented the creature. If not for this encounter, I wouldn't have been able to think of ways to enhance my fighting abilities.

Back on Earth, I had become complacent because there was no one there who could truly challenge me, and I was always cautious not to cause too much destruction.

However, in this place, I could unwind and practice without any worries.

The only problem I had to solve now was how to get out of this place and return home.

[System: Mission Success]

[Reward: Pending]

[Transferring Host to Sealed Realm Number 2]

"Wait, what?" I wanted to ask the system more questions, but suddenly my vision went black again.

When it returned, I found myself inside a dark cave.

'What the fuck just happened?' I thought to myself, feeling frustrated.

I had been teleported to another unknown space, but unlike those novels, my fatigue remained. The system hadn't even reset all my status.

"Status," I called out to the system again, but just like the last one, I received no response.

This time, I realized that it was all a test, and I needed to conserve my energy before taking any action. If this followed the same logic as a game, then the monsters here would likely be more powerful and dangerous.

I felt as though the system was training me.

Perhaps it realized that I wouldn't be able to grow in my current environment on Earth and decided to send me here.

If that were the case, then the origin of the system was even more terrifying than I had initially thought.

'What the hell are you, Neurolink System?'

<3rd Person POV>

Back on Earth

Forty-five days had passed since the Zol Clan's attack, and the world was gradually stabilizing after acknowledging the existence of beings with superpowers.

Normal operations were returning to normal, and the frequency of incidents related to rogue gifted was starting to decline .

However —

The Zol Clan remained determined in their attacks and mission to eradicate the human race, but with everyone vying for a bigger piece of the pie, more and more organizations sent their combatants to at least stop them. This brought the entire war to a standstill.

On one side, the Zol Clan persisted with their guerrilla tactics, while on the other side, each family merely sent the bare minimum to counter the Zol Clan.

They also didn't want the war to end too quickly, as they aimed for the humans on Earth to become more dependent on them.

Even the strongest combatants from each side did not make an appearance at all.

They were all busy preparing for a larger plan, and this war was nothing more than a chess game for those who manipulate things from the shadows.

Deluded by the belief that they would rise to the top, gain more power, and achieve transcendence, many remained unaware that a powerful being was currently undergoing godlike training somewhere.

The difficulty of the training he was facing would put everyone to shame.
