Pakura's background made her an unsuitable candidate for the role of Kage's assistant. If she were appointed, it would undoubtedly lead to complications. It was better to keep her in the Anbu as the minister's secretary, where her skills could be utilized without stirring unnecessary trouble.

As for the Kage's assistant, Uchiha Mikoto was the ideal choice. Her calm demeanor and professionalism stood in stark contrast to the typically strong personalities of many Uchiha. As long as Tsunade didn't mind her Uchiha lineage, Mikoto would be perfect for the position.

"What's wrong with Uchiha? I don't discriminate against Uchiha people," Tsunade said, glaring pointedly at Shinki. "It's you I have a problem with—always meddling and getting involved with women."

Shinki ignored the jab, smiling faintly. "Mikoto is the best choice. Appointing her will also send a message of inclusivity. She's capable, reliable, and perfectly suited for the role."

Tsunade nodded reluctantly. "Alright, fine. But you're helping with this."

True to her word, Tsunade wasted no time. She summoned Uchiha Fugaku to the Kage's office, getting straight to the point.

"Chief Fugaku," she began, "we need a capable person to serve as the Kage's assistant, preferably a woman. Uchiha Mikoto is an excellent candidate for the position. Can we arrange for her transfer to the Kage's office?"

Fugaku was momentarily stunned but quickly agreed. "Of course. There's no issue at all."

For the Uchiha clan, this was a significant opportunity. If Mikoto became the Kage's assistant, it symbolized a restoration of the clan's status within the village. Her role in the Kage's office would also reflect positively on the Uchiha, showcasing their integration and contribution to Konoha.

"Excellent. Transfer her file over by tomorrow. She'll start immediately," Tsunade concluded.

Fugaku nodded and left to arrange Mikoto's reassignment. By the time Mikoto received the news, she was thoroughly confused. She had been working efficiently in the police department—why was she suddenly being moved to the Kage's office?

At home, Shinki had just returned early from work when Kushina burst into the room, bombarding him with questions.

"Shinki! What's going on with Sister Mikoto? Why is she being transferred to the Kage's office? Did you have something to do with this?"

Shinki sighed, taking off his shoes as Kushina tugged on his arm. Placing a hand on her head to calm her, he replied, "I gave some advice, and your sister Tsunade made her decision. She's just too busy without an assistant, so she needed someone trustworthy to help."

He paused, looking directly at her. "It's nothing more than that, Kushina. Don't overthink it."

Kushina grinned, unconvinced. "I bet it's because Sister Mikoto and Shinki are close, and Tsunade knows it."

"..."

Shinki didn't even bother to respond, shaking his head in exasperation as Kushina spun away with a mischievous smile.

"I'm heading out to find Sister Mikoto! I'll be back for dinner, and we'll celebrate tonight!" Kushina grabbed her bag, ready to leave.

"While you're at it, notify Minato and Nawaki and tell them to come over later. I have something to discuss with them," Shinki called after her.

"Got it! I'll ask the police department to help spread the word!" Kushina waved nonchalantly as she ran off.

Shinki sighed deeply. Leaving errands to the police department now? This girl is getting out of hand.

Since returning from the Mist Village and Cloud Village conflicts, Kushina had been in high spirits. She often roamed the village with Hyuga Mehu or visited the police department to pester Uchiha Mikoto. Fugaku, of course, indulged her every whim, approving her requests without question.

When Uchiha Mikoto began her duties in the Kage's office, Kushina tried to drag her out for shopping and fun. However, Tsunade was having none of it.

"Absolutely not," Tsunade declared firmly, shutting down Kushina's antics before they could disrupt her new assistant's responsibilities.
