Kushina hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Alright."

It was no secret that Mirai could bring the dead back to life, so she wasn't worried about dying from losing the Nine-Tails.

In fact, abandoning the burden of being a Jinchūriki to live a free life was a dream she'd always longed for.

Kushina nodded. "Kurama has been extracted."

Minato's face darkened with fury. "Don't worry, Kushina. I'll kill that masked man and join you right away."

Kushina's hair flared like an angry octopus as she punched Minato hard.

"You idiot! Where's our child?"

"And… who said I was going to die?!"

Minato, bewildered, stammered, "Jinchūriki die when the Tailed Beast is extracted. That's common knowledge!"

Kushina pointed to Mirai. "Mirai saved me from death's door."

"Huh?"

"Where's Mirai?"

By then, Mirai had already returned to his room.

He had no interest in watching Kushina and Minato's tearful reunion.

He'd much rather spend his time exploring his newly acquired ability—Kamui.

Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan granted two abilities.

One was Intangibility, allowing the user to phase between reality and a pocket dimension, as well as transport objects into that space at close range.

However, when Mirai entered his room, he found Konan and Mikoto already waiting for him.

Both had bathed and were now kneeling quietly on the bed.

"Zetsu, as soon as we return to base, prepare more Sharingan for me to transplant."

Zetsu glanced at Obito's lone eye and nodded silently.

The atmosphere grew tense.

Feeling uncomfortable, Obito wiped his face and muttered, "Why is it so wet? Is it raining?"

Black Zetsu sighed. "Obito, we're in a cave."

Obito froze, then coughed awkwardly. "Oh… it's sweat, then."

White Zetsu chimed in cheerfully, "Sweating buckets, aren't you, Obito?"

To everyone's surprise, Obito didn't argue. He simply lowered his head and paced the cave, trying to appear busy.

Watching his increasingly erratic behavior, Black Zetsu felt a creeping sense of doubt.

Could this man really bring the Moon's Eye Plan to fruition?
