Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Chapter 5
"The picnic was proposed by Minato. If you want to go, just discuss it with him. I'm only responsible for making food and don't care about anything else," Qianyue said, decisively shifting the responsibility to Minato. She waved at the stunned Minato and ran away.
"Wait for me!" Minato called, trying to catch up but finding himself blocked.
"Minato-kun, I wonder if I can also join your picnic? For the sake of your classmates, you wouldn't refuse, right?" Kushina smiled, raising her little hand in a gesture. Minato knew the consequences of refusing after what happened last time.
Dare I say no? Qianyue, you bastard! Always passing the blame.
Minato was almost in tears but quickly said, "Kushina, you're right. As a classmate, how can I refuse your joining? Don't worry, Qianyue's barbecue is excellent. I'll be responsible for hunting tomorrow, and you can be responsible for eating." Patting his chest, Minato promised to take care of everything.
"Very good," Kushina jumped excitedly. "Minato, you're a good person. Don't worry, I won't hit you. We're classmates."
Classmates? You just threatened me! Are there classmates like you? Minato thought, but decided to just prepare food for one more person. After all, the barbecue was Qianyue's job.
Kushina returned home in high spirits. "I'm a Jinchuuriki. I can't run around. I need to find a solution. It'll be troublesome if the picnic location is remote." She set her eyes on Tsunade. If she couldn't go alone, bringing Tsunade could solve the problem.
"Tsunade-sister, I'm going to have a picnic with my classmates tomorrow. Please come with me."
"No way, you're going out to play. Why should I follow?" Tsunade decisively refused, preferring to sleep in after a few days of rest.
Kushina was prepared. She knew Tsunade would refuse, so she wasn't in a hurry. "Brother Naoki, sister Tsunade took your…wuwuwu yesterday."
Tsunade's expression changed, quickly covering Kushina's mouth. If Naoki knew she'd used his pocket money to gamble and lost, he'd be furious. "Shut up, what do you want?" Tsunade gritted her teeth.
"Come with me to the picnic, or I'll file a complaint and let Naoki make trouble for you," Kushina bargained.
"I… I really lost to you. Okay, okay, I'll go. I'm so tired, I finally rested for a few days," Tsunade relented.
Kushina made a V sign and a face, making Tsunade's teeth itch with the urge to spank her.
The next day, Minato rushed to Qianyue's house, accusing him of abandoning him. "Well, don't be angry. You're a little sun; you can't be angry. The sun warms people's hearts," Qianyue waved her hand, adding, "Besides, I'm terrible at rejecting girls, so I had to leave it to you."
I believe you! How many female classmates have you rejected at school? Each time more cruelly than the last! Minato thought.
"I agreed," Minato crossed his arms, resigned.
"Pfft~~~" Qianyue spat out a mouthful of water. "You agreed? That's the Jinchuuriki of the Nine Tails! Anbu and Genbu ninjas follow her everywhere. And you agreed?"
"Do I dare refuse? It's not like you don't know how scary Kushina is when she hits someone. She's younger than us but so terrifying," Minato shuddered, remembering her fiery eyes and flying red hair.
Depressed, Minato pulled Qianyue up and walked outside. "Okay, let's not be late. It's rude to make the girls wait for us."
After buying various seasonings, they arrived at the school gate, spotting the red-haired Kushina and an impatient blonde woman from a distance.
Damn it! Tsunade? She came anyway.
"Am I seeing things? Pinch me," Minato rubbed his eyes.
"Ouch!!" Minato yelped in pain, suppressing his blush and rubbing his arm vigorously. "What are you doing? So hard."
"Didn't you ask me to pinch you? Of course, I had to use more force," Qianyue replied, rolling her eyes.
Minato's eyes filled with resentment. Qianyue couldn't stand the look and turned away, coughing.
"Qianyue, Minato!" Kushina waved and ran up, while Tsunade shrugged, uninterested in the picnic.
"Just think of me as invisible," Tsunade crossed her arms.
Qianyue glanced at her and quickly looked away, knowing Tsunade's ability to hit people was second-to-none. Even Jiraiya almost got punched away. This was no joke.
Lagging behind a bit, Tsunade told the ANBU ninja in the dark, "I'll follow Kushina today. Tell the old man not to bother me."
"Yes, Tsunade-sama," the ANBU ninjas complied, not daring to defy her.
They arrived at a small river for the picnic. Minato dove into the forest. "You guys rest for a while. I'll go hunting."
Qianyue didn't expect Tsunade and Kushina to work, so she took out a kunai and chopped firewood.
"Do you have the blood of the Uchiha clan?" Tsunade asked directly.
Qianye, lighting a fire, replied, "Yes, my mother hoped I could return to Uchiha and change my last name, but I have no intention of returning."
"Why?" Kushina, not from Konoha, had no special views on Uchiha.
"With Qianyue's talent, if you join a big family, you should receive focused training," she said.
In the same grade, Qianyue excelled in all subjects, slightly ahead of Minato. He was considered a true genius. His good grades allowed teachers to overlook his constant desertion.
Students with good grades received preferential treatment from teachers. "I don't really like the Uchiha atmosphere. Maybe it's because I'm too strong," Qianyue smiled self-deprecatingly. "Besides, others reject me. Why should I kneel to join Uchiha?"
"You have backbone, but you gave up the opportunity to receive key training," Tsunade respected his choice.
Exclude me? I'm not eager to join! Without a big family's nurture, I can grow on my own. If I don't join Uchiha, it doesn't mean I can't survive.
"Then it might be difficult to learn some ninjutsu, right?" Tsunade asked.
Qianyue's current status was that of a civilian ninja student. Only after graduation could one become a civilian ninja. If civilian ninjas wanted to learn ninjutsu, they needed contributions from missions or a reliable teacher willing to teach them.
"It's okay, everything will be fine," Qianyue firmly believed. If he couldn't improve despite his efforts, then others wouldn't have a chance either.
Danzo and the Third Hokage are coming for Uchiha, but such a day will come.
"I'm back," Minato returned with two hares and a small wild boar, dropping the prey and resting.
Qianyue processed the prey with a kunai, and soon the fragrant smell of barbecue filled the air. Kushina's eyes sparkled, looking at Qianyue as if he were a treasure.
Even Tsunade put away her previous words, now looking forward to the picnic and becoming somewhat interested in Qianyue.
