Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Chapter 4
Someone from ANBU was observing him, and Qianye had long known that. They were targeting him because of Kushina. As long as he didn't do anything drastic, ANBU's attention would quickly shift away.
"Kyuubi, when will you grow to be as strong as the big fox next door?"
"Master, I am still young, and my chakra refining speed is too slow," Kyuubi complained, dissatisfied. The Kyuubi next door was divided from the Ten Tails and started from scratch, slowly growing through effort.
At noon, as school ended, a female classmate invited Qianyue to eat a bento together. Kushina's eyes widened, curious if Qianyue would reject her like he had rejected Kushina.
"Sorry, I don't really like eating with ugly people," Qianyue decisively refused, showing no hesitation.
This straightforwardness was why not many girls dared to approach him despite his handsome appearance. Not only were they rejected, but they also suffered a blow to their self-esteem. Few children could handle it.
Qianyue had long grown tired of playing dates and eating lunch with little girls, so he simply refused to engage, leaving no room for hope.
"Uuuuuuuuah, Qianyue-kun is too much," the girl cried, covering her face and running away.
Kushina was stunned. She had brooded over Qianyue's rejection, but now she felt it was fortunate he didn't call her ugly. Inexplicably, she felt relieved. However, remembering her own rejection, Kushina couldn't remain happy for long.
That night, Kushina returned home and asked Naoki, "Naoki, how do boys usually refuse invitations from girls?"
"If you don't like someone, just refuse politely. What's wrong?" Naoki looked at her strangely. "You were rejected again?"
"Ouch!!" Naoki yelped as Tsunade pulled her foot back after stepping on him. "If you can't speak properly, just shut up," she scolded, hugging Kushina.
"Don't listen to him. He's never been invited by a girl. How can he give you advice? You should listen to your sister."
Naoki suddenly felt his foot no longer hurt; it was heartache instead. He wanted to ask, "Are you really my sister?"
"Was it that Yagami Chizuki kid again? Do you want me to help you beat him tomorrow? It's really not fair for him to reject our lovely Kushina."
"No!" Kushina's face reddened with anxiety. She quickly shook her head. "Qianyue-kun rejected another classmate today. The way he did it was unique, so I was just curious."
Tsunade took her hand back angrily, "Why did he refuse? Tell me."
Naoki, whose instep no longer hurt, also came over curiously. He wanted to know how a handsome boy could refuse a girl's invitation.
Kushina thought for a moment, then imitated Qianyue's tone with an expressionless face: "Sorry, I don't really like eating with ugly people."
"What a naughty temper," Tsunade thought, feeling her blood pressure rise as she covered the back of her head.
Naoki looked bewildered, his eyes wide open. No wonder even senior girls said Yagami Chizuki was different. He was indeed unique, even in rejecting girls. "Does being handsome mean you can do whatever you want?" Naoki wondered enviously.
Looking at Tsunade's face, Naoki felt they weren't born to the same parents. Why was there such a big difference in appearance and talent between siblings?
Noticing Naoki staring at her, Tsunade widened her eyes in a warning, causing him to shrink and jump aside, fearing a beating. "Coward," she muttered.
"Get ready tomorrow. I'll take you to see Orochimaru. I don't understand why you want to become his disciple," Tsunade said, seeing that Naoki was about to graduate and deciding to make connections behind the scenes.
"Kushina," Tsunade added, putting her arm around Kushina's shoulders, "If you trust me, don't get too close to Yagami Qianyue. It won't benefit you or him."
"Why? Qianyue-kun and I are just classmates," Kushina didn't understand.
"Never mind," Tsunade shook her head, deciding to let it go. They were just ordinary classmates, after all. If things progressed further, they'd deal with it then. Maybe by that time, Kushina could handle her affairs.
As the Nine-Tails Jinchuuriki, coupled with Kushina's strength, her position required careful consideration. Her identity was too sensitive, and the Nine-Tails was the most powerful tailed beast. If it escaped, the consequences would be disastrous.
School, training, and rest made the ninja school days boring for Qianyue. If it weren't for the lack of a place to learn the shadow clone technique, he'd have sent a clone to school instead.
"My Yagami Qianyue has so much chakra in vain. It's a pity I can't use a shadow clone to help me learn and train."
"Qianyue, what did you say?" Minato looked over.
"Nothing, I just praised you for being handsome. Your smile is as bright as the sun. You might as well be called Little Sun. It suits you," Qianyue said casually.
"Stop it!" Minato wasn't fooled.
"I think 'silver-haired brat' suits you well. Why don't you accept that nickname?" Minato countered.
"Because the person who calls me that is also a brat. Of course, I won't be happy about it," Qianyue spread his palms.
"You can't fool me. Just because you smile brightly and the sun shines, doesn't mean you should be called Little Sun," Minato thought.
Minato had once accepted the nickname, but Qianyue had completely misled him. After learning the other meaning of "sun," Minato didn't want anyone calling him that.
"By the way, we have a day off tomorrow. How about a picnic? I'll handle the rest. You just need to barbecue," Qianyue suggested.
Qianyue's cooking always impressed Minato, so he eagerly agreed. "Sure."
Even during free time, they could picnic and train outside all day. It was a good plan.
"Um…can I join?" A small white hand appeared in front of Qianyue and Minato.
Qianyue glanced at it and decisively took the blame.
