Naruto: All Genders are reversed except for me

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Let Me Be the Judge? This Ramen Tastes Awful!

In the original Naruto storyline, there was no mention of the "first enhanced flavor" of Konoha, so at this moment, Naruto was feeling a bit confused.

However, Sasuke came from a big family, and his life was far beyond what Naruto could compare to. Thinking about this, Naruto turned to Sasuke and asked, "Sasuke, do you know what the title 'Konoha's First Enhanced Flavor' means?"

"Hmm... I know a bit. Although I'm not entirely sure, I've heard my father and the elders talk about Konoha's title of the best ninja tools," Sasuke replied, trying to recall what he'd overheard as a child from his father.

"My father said that in Konoha, every industry has its own title of 'first.' It's said that if you can hang this title on your signboard, you'll definitely attract a huge number of customers. Like the insect repellent from the Shina family, the forged tools from the Tetsu family, the medicinal herbs from the Nara family, and the veterinary services from the Inuzuka family, among many others."

Hearing Sasuke's words, Naruto had a sudden flash of insight. "So, you're saying if you get the number one title, the business will be booming?"

"Yeah, that's probably how it works." Sasuke nodded.

"Got it, now it makes sense," Naruto muttered, calculating the potential impact.

If Aunt Iruka lost the title of "first enhanced flavor," her business would undoubtedly plummet, and that would directly affect his small stall's income, something he definitely didn't want to happen.

"Heh, let's see. Your so-called secret recipe doesn't impress me," the bald man said, a sneer on his lips.

The group waited at the door for less than five minutes before the bell signaling the completion of the ramen rang.

At that moment, the bald man had already hidden the black stone he had gotten in his pocket and then turned to lead his group into the Ichiraku Ramen shop.

As Naruto and Sasuke entered Ichiraku again, four bowls of meticulously prepared, aromatic ramen were placed in front of them.

Seeing that Ichiraku's so-called secret-enhanced flavor was still the same, the bald man immediately took his subordinates into the kitchen to start preparing his own competition ramen.

Since Ichiraku had already made their contest dish, the others didn't need to leave the scene while the bald man made his. After all, even if they watched, it was unlikely anyone could discern the secret recipe's proportions by mere observation.

"I'm starting," Naruto and Sasuke said simultaneously, picking up their chopsticks and digging into the secret-enhanced flavor ramen.

The ramen was chewy, the broth fresh and rich in flavor, and the aroma was strong.

Considering the world's culinary culture, this was indeed top-tier ramen.

Sasuke, who usually ate meals his mother cooked and seldom visited small eateries, was surprised to find ramen could be this good.

But, perhaps due to having eaten Naruto's legendary grilled fish before, he found the ramen good but lacking that unforgettable taste the fish had.

Naruto also took a bite and chewed, surprised to find that Aunt Iruka really did have a secret recipe.

It was the salt in the ramen.

Previously, he had eaten ramen without salt, so it wasn't as chewy. When ramen lacks chewiness, it loses its soul.

Looking up at the anxious Aunt Iruka and Shobu, Naruto gave them a thumbs-up.

"This ramen is delicious, Aunt Iruka is the best!"

His words immediately made the uncle beside them, who had only taken one bite and then put his chopsticks down, sneer.

"A frog in a well. I hope you still think that way later," he said.

"Yeah, this time, Boss Hongle learned the true essence of ramen from a wise sage deep in the mountains," another uncle added.

Hearing this, both Aunt Iruka and Shobu's faces turned grim.

They had been paying close attention to Hongle's cooking method from the beginning, but no matter how they looked at it, it seemed identical to their own procedure.

While Aunt Iruka and Shobu focused on Hongle and the details of his ramen-making, Naruto's attention was on Hongle's young apprentice.

The apprentice was currently fiddling with a small pot, inside which was a dark, viscous liquid.

If this were a chef from the Hidden Leaf, they would have assumed it was Hongle's secret recipe, but Naruto, recognizing the stone's black texture, didn't think so.

"Alkaline-rich minerals? Interesting," Naruto thought.

From making the dough to casually scooping a spoonful of sedimented alkaline water into the dough, the process was extremely natural, and Aunt Iruka didn't notice the mysterious liquid's role.

The following steps were strikingly similar.

After about five minutes of anxious waiting, Hongle began pulling the noodles. His muscular arms and broad chest added a certain appeal to the noodle-pulling process.

The broth bubbled away, and the apprentice brought out six bowls, pouring the delicious broth into each one.

Once the preparation was complete, Hongle suddenly shouted, and with lightning speed, he swung his hands, sending perfectly chewy noodles into each bowl.

In just a few breaths, six bowls of secret-enhanced flavor ramen were presented to everyone.

At that point, Hongle removed his apron and, with a smug smile, looked at Aunt Iruka and Shobu.

"I've prepared two extra bowls for you, so you'll admit defeat with dignity," he said.

Naruto and Sasuke looked down at their bowls.

On the surface, there was little difference in color, style, and fragrance.

But maybe due to Hongle's absolute confidence, everyone in the room subconsciously felt that his ramen was superior.

"Gulp…"

No one made a move at first, but the two uncle judges couldn't hold themselves back. Their eyes lit up, and they eagerly dug into the ramen.

Their expressions were akin to those of starving ghosts, as if they hadn't eaten in a month.

Seeing this, Aunt Iruka and Shobu swallowed hard, preparing to try the ramen as well.

Sasuke had already begun eating.

Naruto, too, wanted to see what difference there was between ramen with and without alkaline water.

Other than the two famished uncles, everyone else—Aunt Iruka, Shobu, Naruto, and Sasuke—took small bites, savoring every detail.

Sasuke widened his eyes as he stretched a noodle, exclaiming, "The ramen is so chewy?"

The smoothness and chewiness were unparalleled. After tasting it, Aunt Iruka's mood sank. She knew she had lost.

She was sure she could never make ramen this chewy, no matter how hard she tried.

Seeing their expressions, Hongle burst into loud laughter.

"So, who do you think the winner is?"

"Hehehe… Naturally, it's Hongle's secret-enhanced flavor!"

"Yeah, I've never eaten such chewy ramen before. You're the true pioneer of ramen!"

After they spoke, the two uncles turned to look at Naruto and Sasuke.

"Hey, brats, as judges, we don't need to tell you about fairness, right? Although you're amateurs, as guests, you should still offer an objective evaluation!"

Seeing this, Sasuke nodded.

"This uncle's ramen is indeed better than Aunt Iruka's."

Upon hearing this, Hongle smiled smugly, then looked at the blonde boy.

"Hey, kid, what's your evaluation?"

Aunt Iruka and Shobu now looked ashen, under the intense gaze of the crowd.

Naruto, savoring the taste and texture of the ramen, smiled at Hongle.

"This ramen tastes like absolute garbage. It's a poorly-made, risky mess that doesn't even deserve to be served to customers! Trash!"

Ding, you've received 100 shock points from the villagers of Konoha.

The moment Naruto said this, the scene exploded.
