"Good," Dean Jack said excitedly, turning to the high-ranking officer beside him, "Admiral Bayard, this person is crucial to the future of our country. Please ensure he's captured, and be wary of his hypnotic suggestion ability."

"Leave it to us, Dean Jack. Once they're in our territory, even a fly won't escape," Admiral Bayard replied coldly before leaving.

Dean Jack then turned to the woman beside him, "Ella, how are the experiments progressing?"

Ella turned to Jack and said, "After years of injecting diluted Green Dew Imperial Jade powder into Black Widow spiders, we've finally obtained seven mutated Black Widows. Their mitochondria have extended lifespans. I estimate these Black Widows can live up to two years."

"Excellent, this is a breakthrough. It proves that the mysterious power of Green Dew Imperial Jade can extend lifespans," Dean Jack said, taking a remote from his pocket and pressing it.

The screen switched to various beasts, birds, and insects injected with trace amounts of Green Dew Imperial Jade powder.

Jack proudly addressed the two young men, "Gubatyr, Tronton, these are the results of my years of work. Once we secure the Green Dew Imperial Jade mine, I hope you'll advocate for increased funding for my research."

Inside the limo-like vehicle, Smithson finally snapped out of his daze after Zeng Shen exited. He rushed out, only to find no trace of Zeng Shen. Looking left and right at the bustling crowd, he was bewildered.

Where did he go?

The four guards inside the vehicle also realized what happened and rushed out.

"You two go that way, and you two go this way," Smithson directed the guards to pursue Zeng Shen, then quickly called Dean Jack, "Dean, he's gone."

"Return. Admiral Bayard has arranged a search," Dean Jack replied.

"Yes, Dean," Smithson said, returning to the vehicle.

The guard in the driver's seat looked at Smithson, "Mr. Smithson, I don't know what happened. After he spoke, I just felt compelled to open the door."

Smithson's face darkened, "Alright, Birch, take me back to the base."

Birch nodded and drove toward the outskirts.

Smithson leaned back, puzzled, "Birch, did you feel anything special when he hypnotized you?"

"Mr. Smithson, I don't know. I just subconsciously opened the door after hearing him," the driver said.

Smithson frowned, "He seemed to chat with you a lot when he got in. Could he have subtly hypnotized you then?"

"Mr. Smithson, I was very alert and clear-headed at the time. I don't think so."

"Then how did he hypnotize you?" Smithson wondered, more puzzled about how Zeng Shen vanished after stepping out.

In the other compartment of the limo, Zeng Shen, invisible, watched Smithson ponder with a sly smile. He wasn't using hypnosis but rather his rarely-used talent, Divine Control.

He hadn't left yet because he wanted to turn the tables, confirming Dean Jack's stronghold before leaving.

As the vehicle approached the outskirts of Old Gold Mountain, reaching a walled area labeled as a Biological Genetics Research Base, a warning rang in Zeng Shen's ear.

Upon entering, Zeng Shen's eyes lit up, drawn to the two massive animal enclosures at the center of the base.

In one enclosure, five hybrid beasts, lion-tiger hybrids he had only seen in online pictures, lay lazily in the pen.

Zeng Shen used his Peeping Eye ability, revealing a panel above each lion-tiger hybrid.

Zeng Shen used his Peeping Eye again, revealing panels only he could see.
