"Now, you all belong to me," Zeng Shen declared, taming them before venturing deeper into the ecological genetic research institute.

He passed through a glass lab filled with various animal corpses and another where a group of people surrounded a marble-sized piece of Green Dew Imperial Jade. Eventually, he reached a lab filled with young plants and an insect laboratory.

Throughout his exploration, Zeng Shen moved like a carefree wanderer, as if on a casual tour of a hybrid animal zoo. Whenever he encountered locked doors, he used teleportation to enter. If the room lacked intelligent species or mutant beasts, he would leave. However, if the system indicated mutant beasts inside, he would use Beast Taming on them.

As a result, he tamed four more types of large mutant beasts: ten Lightning Bats, two Demon Baby Apes, five Giant Eagle Vultures, and eight Floating Jellyfish. All were products of injecting trace amounts of Green Dew Imperial Jade powder over many years.

Feeling he had nearly explored the entire biological genetics research institute, Zeng Shen teleported into a room marked "Danger."

Inside, a glass enclosure designed to resemble a miniature ecological forest caught his attention. As he entered, a rapid warning sounded in his ear.

The most noticeable feature was a small fake mountain with seven small black holes, each home to a black widow spider with purple markings and a round belly.

Zeng Shen recognized them as potentially venomous black widows and likely the Shadow Clan mentioned by the system. He used his Peeping Eye ability on the largest spider.

Since none of the black widows had transformed into beasts he could tame, he couldn't communicate with them through a tamed spider. He decided to leave and check local insect pet stores for any spider beasts before returning to abduct the black widows.

He canceled the sub-track point at Yunbai Airport's forest and set a new one at the research institute before teleporting to a camera-free corner and using the Wormhole Marker Card to leave.

"Who's nervous? I left calmly," Zeng Shen muttered as he returned to the main track point in his bedroom closet in Jinhai City, hearing another notification.

Exiting the closet, he messaged Xiao Ti.

"Xiao Ti, where are you?"

"Master, I'm at the city south hall, helping the mistress film a short play."

"Okay, come by room 902 when you're done so we can spar," Zeng Shen replied.

"I'll be there in half an hour."

"So soon?"

"Today's scenes are between the mistress and Liu Tongtong, the actress playing her colleague. I have no scenes."

"I see."

Half an hour later, Xiao Ti arrived in her usual bossy cape outfit. Zeng Shen led her into his divine realm for a vigorous sparring session, ending in a draw and earning him 7 divine rank experience points.

Afterward, Zeng Shen left his divine realm, donned his disguise mask, and released Number One, instructing it to find an insect pet shop in Jinhai that might have spiders surviving for three years.

Disappointedly, he found no such spider beasts.

"I guess I'll have to wait until after midnight to use the sub-track point at Old Gold Mountain's traffic lights and check the pet shops there," Zeng Shen thought, finding a place to eat with Xiao Ti and releasing Lin Keke from the replica, before returning to his bedroom in the Lucky District to rest.

Halfway through resting, his phone buzzed with a WeChat video call request, interrupting his mood.

Looking at the screen, he said to Lin Keke, who was straddling him, "Hey, it's your original, Kekelin, calling."

"Master, should I stop?" Lin Keke asked coquettishly.

"Answer it, but you and Xiao Ti keep going quietly," Zeng Shen instructed, declining Kekelin's video request and switching to voice.

The call connected quickly.

"Mr. Zeng Shen, you..." Kekelin's polite voice began.

Zeng Shen interrupted with a smile, "Let me guess who's with you. Smithson and Jack, right?"

The line went silent for a moment before Dean Jack's voice replied, "Mr. Zeng, you're smart. We're indeed here with Kekelin. We'd like to meet and discuss matters."

"Meet and talk? You think I'm a child to be easily coaxed?" Zeng Shen scoffed.

"What happened in the car was Smithson's personal action. I've punished him, and I apologize," Jack said sincerely.

But Zeng Shen was skeptical, "Stop with the empty words. If you want to talk, arrange a signing ceremony and press conference in a week. I'll show up then and discuss the mine's location a year later."

"Mr. Zeng, a year is too long. How about three months, no, six months?" Jack asked.
