Chapter 18: The Price of Stupidity: Khans Judgement
Khan was undoubtedly strong, but when compared to Broly, the bearer of the legendary Saiyan bloodline, he was like a younger sibling trying to measure up. This was clearly demonstrated in the DBS: Broly movie. When Broly unlocked his full potential, tapping into the legendary Saiyan bloodline, he effortlessly overwhelmed Goku and Vegeta, even after their grueling training following the Tournament of Power.
The power of the legendary bloodline was in a league of its own—countless times superior to the so-called 'elite' Saiyan lineage Kahn had now.
For Kahn, the decision required no deliberation. The legendary bloodline was the obvious choice. Why settle for an ordinary transformation when the Legendary Super Saiyain's might towered above it like a mountain?
Most importantly, the Legendary Saiyan bloodline fit extremely well with his infinite energy and was the perfect foundation for using Ultra Ego—a state of power that resonated with Kahn's unyielding will.
For five long years, Kahn had awaited this day. The day he would ascend beyond his limits and claim the power that should be his.
And soon after he began to feel the changes in his body.
Kahn could distinctly feel a warm current surge within his chest, spreading throughout his body and flowing into every limb, melding with each cell. His blood, his very cells, seemed to pulse with elation as the legendary Saiyan bloodline merged with his own advanced Saiyan heritage.
As the legendary bloodline integrated with his being, Kahn's physical strength grew exponentially, continuously amplifying with the fusion of the legendary bloodline.
Thrum, thrum!
Even his muscles seemed to celebrate, releasing soft, triumphant vibrations. Though his muscles hadn't visibly bulked up, Kahn could feel their power surge—every fiber, every tendon, had been dramatically strengthened.
"Mmm…"
Instead of pain, Kahn felt a strange, comfortable sensation as the bloodline fusion completed. It was as if every inch of his being had undergone a transformation.
After what felt like an eternity, the fusion of the legendary bloodline was complete.
Kahn felt as though he had broken free from a cocoon, emerging as a new, more powerful being—a true rebirth.
After the bloodline fusion, Kahn's combat power skyrocketed by at least 20%, as was to be expected from such a transformation!
"Now this is the legendary Saiyan bloodline?! Unbelievable!"
Kahn clenched his fists, feeling the raw, untamed power surge through his body. His veins pulsed with energy, and every cell in his body was on fire. Only one thought raced through his mind.
He was certain that the current him would wipe the floor with Frieza.
The legendary Saiyan bloodline was on an entirely different level compared to the power he had once known.
"It's finally done!"
Kahn's eyes glinted with exhilaration, his excitement nearly overflowing.
With the legendary bloodline, infinite energy, and Ultra Ego, Kahn was confident. He could face Beerus himself and not even flinch.
Of course, Kahn wasn't foolish enough to claim he could beat Beerus—not yet, anyway. Beerus was, after all, the God of Destruction, the most powerful one in the all the universes. But with the vast potential of his legendary bloodline, Kahn knew it was only a matter of time before he surpassed Beerus.
"If only I had immortality…"
Just the thought of immortality, combined with his legendary bloodline, infinite energy, and Ultra Ego, sent a thrill through Kahn's entire being. Though immortality was still out of reach, every fighter needed a dream, right?
As the saying goes, "To reach the top, you must first rise above the rest." To grow stronger, one must reach beyond their limits and transcend their current state.
With that thought in mind, Kahn's eyes drifted toward a distant cave.
At the entrance of the cave, Broly sat alongside his father, Paragus, eagerly munching on a strange yellow egg. It wasn't the most appetizing thing, but Kahn couldn't believe how Broly and Paragus had managed to survive all these years on Planet Vampa.
"Well, it's about time I paid them a visit," Kahn said, a smirk crossing his face. With everyone here, it was the perfect moment to go in and see Broly.
In the blink of an eye, Kahn appeared at the entrance of the cave.
Paragus and Broly immediately sensed Kahn's presence.
Paragus looked up, eyes wide in disbelief. Thirty years. Thirty long years. Father and son had been stranded on Planet Vampa, completely isolated from the outside world, with no other humans in sight. To say Paragus was excited to see another person was an understatement. The arrival of someone meant the possibility of escape from this godforsaken rock.
"Wait… is it the Frieza Force?" Paragus asked, his voice shaky with excitement.
He stood up, barely able to control his eagerness, despite his old age. He staggered toward Kahn, desperate to see the possibility of freedom.
Broly raised an eyebrow, clearly less enthused. Without much choice, he stood and followed his father's hasty steps. Paragus was all emotion, while Broly remained as calm and silent as ever.
As Paragus approached Kahn, he noticed the tail swishing behind him. His eyes widened, and a flash of suspicion crossed his face. He froze for a moment, then narrowed his gaze. "Are you… a Saiyan? Did King Vegeta send you?"
Kahn's gaze shifted to Broly, then back to Paragus. "Yes, I'm a Saiyan," he said flatly. "But King Vegeta? You must be out of touch. You've been stuck here for decades, and King Vegeta has been dead for thirty years. The grass on his grave is probably taller than you."
"What did you say? King Vegeta is dead?" Paragus gasped, unable to process the information.
He'd been dreaming of returning to Planet Vegeta one day, seeking vengeance for his exile. But to hear that the king was dead was beyond what he could fathom.
Kahn continued, his tone matter-of-fact, "Not only is King Vegeta dead, but Planet Vegeta was destroyed long ago. The Saiyans who are still alive can probably be counted on one hand."
Paragus inhaled sharply, absorbing the news. The devastation of his homeland, the loss of his king—it didn't matter to him anymore. It was the death of King Vegeta that dissolved the bitterness inside him.
After a moment of silence, Paragus finally spoke again, his voice filled with urgency and a hint of desperation. "Can you take us off this planet? Please, we've suffered enough."
Kahn raised an eyebrow. "Why would I take you anywhere?" he replied, crossing his arms.
Paragus froze, realizing the cold truth. They were strangers to Kahn. He owed them nothing. There was no reason for Kahn to help them.
His eyes hardened, and a wicked thought flickered in his mind. If Kahn wasn't going to offer them help willingly, perhaps he would have to take matters into his own hands.
He wasn't going to be trapped on Planet Vampa forever.
A dark glint flashed in Paragus' eyes as he silently weighed his options. Then, with a cold tone, he barked, "Broly! Take him down. Kill him, and we'll take his ship. We'll leave this hellhole behind!"
Broly, who had remained calm up until now, suddenly tensed. His body trembled slightly as the fierce bloodline inside him stirred, the fighting instincts bubbling to the surface. The moment Paragus issued the command, Broly's training kicked in. He didn't think, he just acted.
Broly let out a growl, his muscles bulging as he charged toward Kahn with ferocious speed.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Broly's fists, crackling with terrifying power, cut through the air, producing deafening sonic booms with every swing.
Kahn met Broly's attack head-on with a single, effortless punch. Boom! Their fists collided, sending shockwaves that rippled through the atmosphere. The ground beneath them crumbled under the immense force.
Paragus, watching from a safe distance, froze in shock. His pride and joy, Broly—his ultimate weapon—was sent flying backward from the clash, while Kahn stood rooted, unscathed and unmoved.
Thud, thud, thud!
Broly skidded to a stop, his feet gouging long trenches in the rocky terrain. As he steadied himself, disbelief flickered across his face. His arm throbbed with numbness—Kahn's power was unlike anything he'd ever encountered.
Unbeknownst to Broly, Kahn was holding back. From Kahn's observations, Broly's base combat power was impressive—around a billion, forged through decades of grueling survival on Planet Vampa. Yet, compared to Kahn's base power, which dwarfed it in the hundreds of billions, Broly was still a novice.
But this was exactly what Kahn wanted. His smirk widened. "Come on, Broly. Show me more!"
Broly growled, his primal instincts igniting as his Saiyan blood boiled. His aura flared, and with a beastly roar, he charged again.
Kahn's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Good! Let's see what you've got!"
They collided once more, trading blows with lightning speed. Each strike sent shockwaves tearing through the air. Paragus, standing on shaky legs, watched the battle unfold with a mix of awe and horror.
Despite Broly's ferocity, the fight was one-sided. Kahn dodged, countered, and landed devastating blows with surgical precision. Broly was relentless but outmatched. Still, something incredible was happening—Broly was adapting. With every exchange, his power grew.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
After several minutes of relentless attacks, Broly's aura surged, overtaking Kahn's base power.
Snap!
Broly caught Kahn's punch mid-air, his grip firm. His eyes gleamed with a wild, feral determination.
"Not bad," Kahn admitted, just as Broly leaned forward and slammed his head into Kahn's.
Thud!
Kahn didn't even flinch, but Broly staggered back, clutching his forehead. It felt like slamming into a steel wall.
"You want to go head-to-head? Fine!" Kahn declared.
Bang!
Kahn retaliated with his own headbutt. The impact left Broly stunned, his grip on Kahn's fist faltering.
"Ah…ah!" Broly snarled, shaking off the pain. Desperation sparked in his eyes as he opened his mouth wide.
Boom!
A green energy blast erupted from Broly's mouth, engulfing Kahn. For a brief moment, the landscape was illuminated by the violent explosion.
When the smoke cleared, Kahn emerged unscathed, his expression unchanged.
"Is that all you've got?" Kahn taunted.
Broly's face twisted in shock. His most powerful attack hadn't even fazed Kahn.
"Let me show you what real power looks like."
Wham!
Kahn's punch sent Broly hurtling toward the ground like a meteor. The impact shook the planet as Broly plowed through mountains before embedding himself in the rocky terrain.
The battlefield fell silent. Paragus collapsed to his knees, his face pale with disbelief. "Broly… beaten? No… impossible!"
But the quiet was short-lived.
Rumble!
The ground quaked violently as a surge of dark green energy erupted from Broly's buried form. The skies twisted, and Planet Vampa itself seemed to tremble under his power.
Kahn's eyes narrowed. "Interesting. Looks like he's finally unleashing it."
Broly emerged, surrounded by a fiery green aura. His pupils shrank to pinpricks, and his body radiated an uncontainable, primal energy. He had ascended to a monstrous state—half-giant ape, half-man.
"Broly!" Paragus shouted in panic, fumbling for the remote control to the energy suppressor. Over the years, he had used it to keep Broly in check whenever he lost control. Now, as Broly's power soared to unimaginable heights, Paragus desperately tried to regain control.
"ROAAAR!"
Broly roared toward the heavens, his power shaking the very core of Planet Vampa.
Kahn cracked his knuckles. "Let's see how far you can go, Broly."
As Paragus stumbled and was finally able to press the button on the remote, the power collar clamped around Broly's neck and activated with a sharp click.
Zzzzzzzt!
The energy surged through the collar, emitting a crackling blue-white aura that seared Broly's skin. The pain was immediate, and Broly's body spasmed as he roared in agony, his power flaring uncontrollably.
Kahn observed this with a cold, piercing gaze. "Using this device to control your own son? What a wonderful father you are, Paragus."
The irony wasn't lost on Kahn. While Paragus used the collar to reign in Broly's berserk power, the act itself made Broly nothing more than an animal—controlled and caged. If Paragus truly cared for his son, why treat him as a mere weapon?
"Ahhh!" Broly screamed as the collar sparked again, intensifying the pain. His eyes glazed over, and soon his rage subsided, the immense power leaking away as he slumped into unconsciousness.
With a final flicker of energy, Planet Vampa, which had trembled under Broly's rampage, fell eerily silent.
Kahn took a slow, deliberate step back, feeling the oppressive weight of the power that had almost destroyed the planet. He didn't want to fight anymore. Broly was a capable opponent, but uncontrolled rage was a liability. One more wrong move and Planet Vampa would be nothing more than space debris. He wasn't interested in repeating the disaster of five years ago when the spacecraft collided with a meteor.
As the tension eased, Paragus exhaled a deep breath of relief. If it weren't for the collar, he'd be dead.
Thud. Thud.
Suddenly, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed in the distance. Paragus's heart skipped a beat as he looked up to see Kahn, his cold, murderous intent unmistakable.
"If I recall correctly, you just said you were going to kill me, right?"
Paragus's face drained of color. Standing before him was Kahn, someone who had already shown the power to defeat Broly. In that moment, Paragus realized he was utterly helpless.
His mind raced with panic as Kahn's cold, emotionless gaze bore into him.
"You…!" Paragus stammered, his words choking in his throat. He was at the mercy of Kahn now, completely at his mercy.
Kahn stepped forward, his voice lowering to a lethal tone. "Paragus, do you know the type of people who usually die in this world? It's not the good people nor is it the bad ones. It's the foolish ones and you Paragus… are a fool."
Paragus shuddered at Kahn's words, fear gripping his heart like a vice. Kahn was right—his stupidity had finally caught up with him.
Kahn's eyes gleamed with unshakable resolve as he continued, "I don't care about your ambitions or your petty schemes. What I do care about is dealing with trash like you."
Without hesitation, Kahn raised his finger, pointing it directly at Paragus's heart.
"Time to pay for your stupidity."
"No!" Paragus cried out, his voice quivering in desperation.
But it was too late.
A blinding beam of energy shot from Kahn's fingertip, rapidly expanding as it sped toward Paragus. The energy hummed with raw power as it filled the space around them, crackling and warping the air itself.
In an instant, the energy beam struck Paragus's chest.
Pshhh!
The impact exploded with a burst of light, sending Paragus reeling backward. Blood sprayed from the wound, his once-proud eyes now clouded with confusion and regret. His body crumpled to the ground with a wet thud, lifeless before it even hit the earth.
Kahn watched coldly as Paragus's body hit the ground. "Pathetic."
He spat on the ground, the disgust palpable in his tone. The old man had failed to grasp the consequences of his actions until it was too late. To use such inhumane devices as energy controllers to manipulate Broly was unforgivable. Though Paragus was Broly's father, he had no right to control the fate of another living being like that.
With a final glance at Paragus's lifeless form, Kahn turned his back.
"Time to go."
Kahn didn't linger on Planet Vampa. Broly would awaken in time, and when he did, he would have the strength to survive. Kahn wasn't concerned with that. He had his own path to follow.
…
…
…
In the universe, not far from Planet Vampa…
Two figures hovered before a translucent light screen showing Planet Vampa. One was a rotund figure, his body round and bulbous, with a thick, purple complexion. His face was fat and fleshy, with large, pointed ears protruding from the top of his head. He wore the traditional attire of a God of Destruction—which looked similar to ancient Egyptian royalty. He was complete with a red and pink collar with white linings on both edges.
This was Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6.
Beside him stood a short-haired woman with silver-white hair, styled in a bob cut. Her delicate features were framed by a pair of black-rimmed glasses, and her professional smile gave off a friendly yet calculated aura. Despite her small stature, her figure was striking, her curves accentuated by the tight, traditional angelic attire she wore. She was Alice, one of the Angels assigned to Champa by the Grand Priest.
The two of them were watching the events unfolding on Planet Vampa through a light curtain. Champa's interest was piqued after noticing the fierce battle between Kahn and Broly. He squinted at the screen.
"Alice, is this the person?" Champa asked, his tone dark, eyeing Kahn's face with a hint of recognition.
Alice nodded slightly, her expression calm. "Yes, Lord Champa. This is Mr. Kahn, the human husband of Vados."
Champa tilted his head, his curiosity growing. "Strange. What kind of charm does this human have? How could Vados give up everything just for him? Perhaps I should teach him a lesson."

(Sorry y'all I lost motivation for this because the mtl is honestly the absolute worst and I have to seriously brainstorm to figure wtf is even going on, lol I'm back though. Enjoy the chap :) )
