Chapter 19: A God Throws a Tantrum
…
"From a human perspective, Kahn's strength is impressive, and his appearance isn't bad either. However, I can't comment on his personality yet," Alice stated objectively, her calm tone reflecting her Angelic detachment.
"Tch… This is considered strong? And handsome? Please! I'm far more handsome than him!" Champa scoffed, crossing his arms as his tail swayed in irritation.
Alice responded with a polite smile, choosing not to contradict her God of Destruction. She knew Champa's dismissive words stemmed from his bruised ego. In truth, Kahn's strength was extraordinary by human standards—easily among the strongest in the mortal realm.
"Lord Champa, Kahn appears to be leaving," Alice said, gesturing toward the light curtain. In the projection, Kahn had boarded his shuttle cube and was preparing to leave Planet Vampa.
"Hmph. Alice, follow him!" Champa barked.
"Yes, Lord Champa." Alice tapped her Angel staff, her ever-calm demeanor hiding a tinge of curiosity about Champa's intentions.
Champa huffed. Kahn had taken Vados from him—his Angel, his assistant for eons. Although Champa didn't dare harm him outright, the resentment simmered. He resolved to teach Kahn a lesson he wouldn't forget.
…
Meanwhile, aboard the shuttle cube…
Kahn reclined in his seat, letting the cube's autopilot navigate. "Finally, time to return to Lord Beerus' planet," he muttered, closing his eyes to relax. But his reprieve was short-lived.
A burst of rainbow-colored energy streaked across space, cutting off his path. As the radiant stream dissipated, two figures emerged—one familiar, the other not so much.
'Champa?' Kahn muttered before his gaze shifted to the female Angel by Champa's side. His brow furrowed. "Wait, who's this? Where's Vados?"
The sight of an unfamiliar Angel left Kahn momentarily stunned. He racked his brain, but this Angel didn't match anyone he remembered from his past life's knowledge.
"Hey, you're Khan right?" Champa's gruff voice broke the silence, his tone dripping with arrogance.
"Uh… yeah? Is there a problem?" Kahn asked, his confusion growing. "Wait, how do you know me?"
Champa ignored the question. "Fight me!" he demanded, puffing out his chest. "Win or lose, I'll let you go."
Alice, standing to the side, frowned slightly. 'Isn't this a bit unfair? A God of Destruction challenging a mortal seems… excessive,' she murmured to herself, though she kept her thoughts private.
Kahn scratched his head. "You want a one-on-one fight? With me?" He grinned. "Well then Sir Champa, if you insist, I won't say no. My hands were itching for a good fight anyway."
Champa narrowed his eyes. "You know me?" he asked, surprised that Kahn had recognized him.
"Of course. Sixth Universe God of Destruction, Champa. How could I not know?" Kahn replied with a smirk.
"Hmph. Vados must've told you!" Champa grumbled but couldn't back down now. The challenge had been issued, and retreating would damage his pride. "Stop talking! Let's fight!"
"Before we start," Kahn interjected, "Who's the Angel beside you? Isn't Vados supposed to serve you?"
Champa's face darkened. "Isn't it obvious? She's with you now!"
Kahn blinked, confused by the sudden anger. "I just asked. No need to blow up about it," he muttered.
"Boy, you're courting death!" Champa roared, hurling a purple energy bomb charged with destructive power straight at Kahn.
"Whoa! What the hell?" Kahn dodged swiftly using his shuttle cube, narrowly avoiding the blast as it rocketed toward a nearby planet.
Champa smirked. "Running already? Alice, follow him!"
Alice sighed softly, tapping her Angel staff to transform them into a stream of light chasing after Kahn.
They arrived on a massive planet, thirty times the size of Earth. Its hostile environment—scarce water, extreme weather, and barren landscapes—had rendered it uninhabited.
Kahn hovered mid-air, glaring at the approaching Champa. "What's your problem? I asked a simple question, and you start throwing tantrums like a child!"
Champa's rage flared. "How dare you talk to me like that, human! I'm a God of Destruction!"
Kahn scoffed. "Big deal. Compared to Beerus, you're more like a brat throwing a fit. You call this godly?"
"You insolent—!" Champa growled, his energy flaring dangerously.
"Stop acting like such a child and come"
Khan said, his tone laced with irritation.
Champa's cocky attitude lit a fire in Kahn's chest. Respect? That had to go both ways, and Champa's smugness wasn't earning any. If anything, it was making Kahn itch to knock him down a peg or two.
So, this was the famed arrogance of a God of Destruction? Did having that title mean they thought they could push anyone around without consequences?
Maybe someone else would've rolled over and taken it—but not Kahn. He wasn't the type to bow down. If he had to go out, he'd do it throwing punches, not licking boots.
"I am real…"
"Angry!"
Boom!
A monstrous purple energy flame erupted from Champa's body, a destructive aura burning like wildfire. The intense heat distorted the very fabric of space around him.
Kahn had made a critical mistake—he had unwittingly compared Champa to Beerus, and the usually laid-back God of Destruction snapped. That comparison was the last straw for Champa, whose ego was as immense as his destructive power. He had never once considered Beerus to be superior; in fact, Champa always believed he was the stronger of the two.
Kahn, unknowingly pushing every button, mocked Champa, and now the destruction god's wrath knew no bounds.
Boom!
As Champa's aura exploded outward, the skies darkened instantly. Terrifying hurricanes formed, tearing across the planet's surface and flattening everything in their wake.
"Pfft, losing your cool already? You're totally spazing out. " Kahn remarked nonchalantly, raising an eyebrow. "But if you want to fight, then let's see what you've got!"
Kahn felt the fight calling to him. The thrill of combat surged through him, and with it, an overpowering urge to test his limits against the God of Destruction. However, he was no fool. Despite Champa's reckless nature, Kahn knew the gravity of the situation—this was a battle against a being who could wipe out planets with a flick of his finger.
Kahn clenched his fists tightly, and an overwhelming violent aura erupted from him like a volcano ready to erupt.
Boom!
The energy skyrocketed, and a dark green beam of energy shot up into the sky, surrounding Kahn in a swirling storm of power. His transformation began. His black hair shimmered with golden light as his pupils shifted from dark to a bright, vibrant emerald.
Blonde hair, blue eyes—Super Saiyan.
But this was no ordinary Super Saiyan. This was the Legendary Super Saiyan, a form far beyond the normal Super Saiyan transformations, where primal energy surged uncontrollably.
The intensity of Kahn's power flooded the battlefield. His body grew with raw, uncontrolled energy, his muscles expanding, his frame becoming larger and more imposing. A deep, primal roar echoed from his throat, shaking the very air around him. His aura was a chaotic, violent mix of green and golden light, crackling with the force of untold power.
Unlike the conventional Super Saiyan, the Legendary Super Saiyan's energy didn't just radiate; it consumed everything in its path. It was a force of nature itself—unstoppable, relentless, and ferocious. The air itself seemed to bend under the weight of Kahn's energy.
As the green energy storm intensified, the space around him warped, flashing through a spectrum of colors: purple, red, gray, and green. Then, as the light began to calm, the energy converged back into Kahn's body, settling into an oppressive silence.
Kahn's power had reached its peak.
"Vados's human husband… truly formidable," Alice observed, her voice filled with awe. Kahn's power was something that even gods would be cautious of. With a mortal body, he was exhibiting strength rivaling the gods themselves. This was no ordinary feat.
Kahn's form had grown larger, his body bulging with raw, destructive power. His eyes glowed with an almost feral intensity, and his muscles rippled with the energy of the Legendary Super Saiyan. He was a living weapon, prepared for anything.
"You can use all the power you want but it still won't be enough!" Champa sneered, clearly not impressed. He regarded Kahn as a mere mortal. Even with his newfound power, Kahn was still only a human in Champa's eyes—a being who could never match the overwhelming might of a God of Destruction.
Kahn, however, was undeterred. "Enough talking. Let's fight!"
Champa, tired of the banter, raised his paw with disdain. "Destroy!"
An invisible shockwave burst forth, aimed at Kahn, ready to obliterate anything in its path.
Kahn raised his right hand slowly, his energy crackling with unrestrained fury. "Destroy."
Boom!
The two shockwaves collided in mid-air, causing a massive explosion.
"Huh?" Champa's eyes widened in disbelief. The move Kahn had used—it was strikingly similar to his own.
"Oh? Isn't this… a technique of the Gods of Destruction?" Alice questioned aloud. The realization hit her—could Kahn have learned the techniques from Beerus himself?
Kahn stepped forward, cutting through the smoke. "It's not over yet!"
Before Champa could react, Kahn lunged at him, his movement swift and brutal. The God of Destruction's instincts kicked in, and he raised his hand again, "Destroy!"
Boom!
A powerful explosion rocked the air as the shockwave from Champa's attack slammed into Kahn, but Kahn stood firm. He crossed his arms, his skin resisting the force with nothing but sheer physical strength.
Then, with a smirk, Kahn muttered
"Explode!"
In an instant, the dark green aura surrounding him exploded outward, sending waves of violent energy spiraling in all directions. A massive energy storm engulfed the battlefield, its power so intense that even the heavens seemed to tremble. The blast spread across the landscape, devastating everything in its path.
From space, the explosion was visible—a massive, expanding mushroom cloud, as if the planet itself had been consumed by the energy.
Alice could only watch in shock. "This guy… he's completely reckless. He's willing to blow himself up just to test his power."
Yet, despite the magnitude of Kahn's reckless attack, Champa remained standing, though his pride had been wounded. Kahn's unrelenting energy had left Champa slightly disoriented, but the God of Destruction wasn't done.
Above him, Kahn's energy didn't falter. He raised his right hand once more, this time targeting the ground beneath Champa's feet.
Rumble!
A massive boulder, ten kilometers in diameter, shot up from the earth, sending shockwaves through the ground. Champa's attention snapped to it. He turned just in time to see the boulder shatter before his eyes.
Boom!
The explosion sent debris flying, but Kahn wasn't done yet. With a grin, he prepared for his next move.
Gravel exploded into the air as the shockwave from the boulder's detonation sent Champa hurtling backward.
As Champa was knocked back, Kahn vanished into the void, his next attack already set in motion.
"Don't get cocky, Kahn!" Champa snarled. "You really think you can take me down so easily?"
Despite Kahn taking two powerful hits, Champa, as a God of Destruction, wasn't about to back down. He quickly regained his footing and charged at Kahn, throwing a massive punch.
Crack! Crack!
Champa's fist, surrounded by dark purple energy flames, exploded through the air, creating ruptures in space like cracks in glass. If Kahn had taken that punch head-on, he'd have been shattered into pieces—his durability wouldn't have been enough to survive that kind of attack.
But Kahn wasn't an amateur.
In the blink of an eye, Kahn teleported behind Champa using Instant Transmission, and then spoke calmly.
"Explode."
The words echoed like a death sentence.
Boom!
A massive explosion of energy tore through the air.
Alice watched in stunned silence, her eyes wide. "This guy… is he even human?" she murmured.
He had just unleashed a massive self-explosion and now he was doing it again—without breaking a sweat. Alice couldn't believe how Kahn seemed to keep getting stronger. It was insane, like something out of a dream.
She thought that would be his limit, but Kahn wasn't done.
"Explode!"
Boom!
"Explode!"
Boom!
…
Over the next few minutes, Kahn unleashed over a dozen self-explosions, each one making Champa's bones rattle. Although these blasts weren't enough to harm the God of Destruction, the constant barrage was starting to wear him down. Champa was being pushed to his breaking point.
Alice watched, both amazed and concerned. She couldn't imagine how frustrating it must be for a God of Destruction to be completely outpaced by a mortal.
Champa was clearly stronger in raw power, but Kahn had speed, agility, and stamina on his side. It also didn't help that Champa's excessive eating and lack of training had made him sluggish.
If Champa went all out and used his full destructive power, he could wipe Kahn out. But doing that would attract Beerus's attention, and Champa didn't want that. So instead, he had to endure the humiliation of being blasted over and over.
After several more rounds of bombarding explosions, the entire planet was on the verge of collapse. The land had been torn apart, with deep ravines stretching far and wide. Columns of molten lava shot up from the earth, splashing into the sky, casting an eerie glow over the battlefield.
It was as though the planet itself was burning in a fiery hellscape.
Hoo… Hoo…
Champa gasped for breath, his body shaking with rage as he glared at Kahn. "You coward! Stop playing around and face me head-on!"
Champa was seething with frustration. He was a God of Destruction, yet here he was, being outmaneuvered by a mortal. It was driving him mad.
"Sure," Kahn replied with a smirk, clearly excited for the next round. He was done with just blowing things up—he was ready for a real fight.
Champa sneered. "This time, I'll make sure you regret it!"
With a roar, Champa gathered his energy, purple flames swirling around him as he prepared to face Kahn head-on.
But then, something unexpected happened.
As Kahn surged forward, the golden energy flames surrounding him vanished, and in their place, purple energy flames—just like Champa's—began to crackle with violent arcs of lightning.
Kahn's appearance shifted dramatically, his hair turning purple, and his once calm face now took on a more intense and fierce expression.
"No… This is impossible!!" Champa shouted, his eyes wide in horror.
"Ultra Ego…" Alice murmured, her eyes narrowing in understanding. "So that's it. Kahn's tapped into Ultra Ego."
She couldn't believe it—Ultra Ego was a transformation that granted overwhelming power by embracing one's pride, anger, and the desire to destroy.
Alice quickly pieced it together. "Did Vados teach him this? Or maybe Beerus himself?"
It was one thing to learn a powerful technique, but mastering it as a mortal was unheard of.
At the same time, Champa had snapped out of his shock.
"Hmph! So what if it's Ultra Ego? I'm not scared of you!" Champa growled, his pride flaring.
Champa's eyes burned with anger, and he threw a massive punch toward Kahn.
Kahn's fist collided with Champa's, and the force sent shockwaves rippling through the planet, cracking the ground beneath them. The skies above shattered with a resounding bang as space itself broke apart.
The two fighters stood locked in combat, their blows creating massive aftershocks that continued to reshape the planet.
