Having received the confirmation from Thunder Drake, the boy was surprised, but he still spoke quickly, saying, "It has been decided."

"Daoist Storm Hawk will pick one of the two options first, while Daoist Lightning Tyrant will have to pick the second one. We will ignore the third option for now, as it is not urgent."

Storm Hawk whispered to Arthur, saying, "Sorry about this."

Then she said with a loud voice, "I pick the second option. I will take care of the disciples of the Purple Flower sect coming to the sect for training."

The boy clapped and said, "This leaves Daoist Lightning Tyrant with the responsibility of going to the Purple Flower sect to help their disciples train and prepare for the upcoming war."

Arthur didn't know if he should be happy about this decision or not because he didn't know much about what his duties will be and what his mission is about. But he felt that something was off after Storm Hawk apologized to him.

Fortunately, he didn't have to be in the dark for much longer. After the decision was made, he was given a memory crystal containing the information about the mission.

From the memory crystal he learned that the Purple Flower sect was preparing for war. Apparently, a sect from upstream was invading their sect to take over their secret realm from them.

The invading sect is the Red and Blue Fire Sect. This is a pill-refining sect that is very good at making pills for neutralizing poisons. This was why they selected the Purple Flower sect as the target for attack and replacement.

As for why the Red and Blue Fire Sect decided to attack in the first place, this was because the only cultivator that they had at the sixth mortal coil had died, and they had no replacement.

The lack of a Patriarch at the sixth mortal coil meant that they didn't have the strength to hold onto the rank 6 secret realm that served as their base and the rank 5 secret realms that served as their farm. So they have to find a weaker sect to attack.

They didn't want to invade tbis part of the world at all. They tried everyth that they could do to hold on including paying off someone powerful to protect them for a whole and using up the favors of their ancestors to hold desperately.

But all they did couldn't stop the inevitable. They couldn't produce another rank 6 cultivator, so they had to accept their fate and take over the territory of a weaker sect.

The good news is that a sect in controf a rabk 4 realm should be easy to easy. Once they have a rank 4 secret realm and have settled down, then they can begin planning to take back their homeland.

By the looks of things, the Red and Blue Fire sect was right to make this decision. They have five cultivators at the fifth mortal coil, while the sects in this part of the world usually have only one cultivator at the fifth mortal coil.

They also didn't choose to fight the strongest sect in this region of the world. There was no need to anyway since all of the rank 4 secret realms are the same.

What they picked was the sect that they had an innate advantage over. This way, they would be able to preserve most of their strength after winning the war and would be ready to advance soon after.

This arrangement put the Purple Flower sect in a bad situation. They were told to leave their homes or be forcefully removed. Neither option was a good thing for them.

They realized that if they decided to fight, it was extremely unlikely that they would win this fight. So they went about looking for allies to fight with.

It was a no-brainer that the Purple Flower sect would come knocking on the door of the strongest sect in the region asking for help. It was also unexpected that the Blood Skull sect decided to help them.

The Blood Skull sect didn't want a neighbor that was too powerful for them to deal with. They liked being the top dog in this part of this world, so they decided to help the Purple Flower sect resist the invader.

In the memory crystal that Arthur read, the goal of this alliance for the Blood Skull sect is not victory or defeat. It is simply weakening the Red and Blue Fire sects so that the Blood Skull sect will have an easier time tearing them apart.

The first part of this alliance was an exchange program. The two sects will send disciples from their sects to each other with the main goal of helping the disciples of the Purple Flower sect grow stronger.

The Blood Skull sect is not going to share any of their cultivation techniques or armaments with the Purple Flower sect. But they are willing to teach the disciples of the Purple Flower sect how to fight.

The Blood Skull sect has the right to teach people how to fight because even without their armaments, their disciples are still top-notch fighters. Only the people of the Black Bones sect and the Sword Way sect can match them in terms of skill.

Most importantly, by offering to help the people of the Purple Flower sect learn how to fight, they would be putting up a public show of support that will make the other sects decide to help the Purple Flower sect too.

The truth is that no one wants the Red and Blue Fire sect to come here. One too many dogs is already too bad for the other four sects. They don't have to deal with two top dogs.

But the other sects know that adding their power to the mix won't change much in a fight against the Red and Blue Fire sect. So they are unwilling to sacrifice themselves for nothing.
