It didn't take too long to find the servers at the Spider Gala. They were all waiting in the dressing room getting ready when we found them. Luckily, they all seemed to be close enough to our sizes. Taking it easy on them, we knocked them out with a quick chop to the neck, webbing them to the ceiling so our cover wouldn't be blown.
Not that they'd wake up before it already was though.
Putting on my suit(White Tux) over my spider suit, I nodded to myself in the mirror. "I love the story, but I think I need to go home…my new home anyway."
Sighing, I stepped out of the room to find Penny stuffing her and Spydr under a trolley, everyone else ready to move out. Nodding to the other spiders, we moved to the elevator, where the party was just beginning.
Walking out of the elevator, we were all silently screamed at for our tardiness while we rushed around and began serving people. 'The secret elevator is in Fisk's private hallway, which also happens to be close to the kitchen for some reason.'
(Pov shift- 3rd)
Knowing this, each spider rushed through serving as many things as they could, even giving out free things here and there. Afterall, it's not their money is it?
With this plan, it wasn't long before they had to refill the trays they had brought out with them. Simultaneously moving to do this, they all met at the elevator at the same time, and because of Fisk's plans, it was both out of view and camera coverage.
Taking advantage of this, they huddled together in the elevator, which was still too small for them somehow. Maybe it was because of Spidyr's size when together with the rest of them. Still, it was surprisingly cramped in an elevator built to house Wilson Fisk.
Anyway, Penny had already hacked into Fisk's servers, which allowed them to activate the elevator. "Allright men, women, and all pigs in attendance, take off any non-essential outer clothing and prepare for a rough ride." Peter B quipped.
Shaking their heads at his antics, they all knew that Peter, no matter from what universe, tells jokes to make himself feel better. Well, Jayce knew that from comics and other stuff, but that's irrelevant.
"I'm getting a lot of movement down below us. I think they know." Penny said from her spot inside of Spydr's mech, monitoring the camera system within the secret base.
'Why a criminal operation has cameras is beyond me.' Jayce thought, looking above him. Opening the vent into the elevator shaft. "I'll take the silent route while you guys grab their attention. I'll see if I can use my copy of the goober to get in without being noticed."
The gang nodded, especially Penny as she couldn't exactly fit in the vents. "Sounds like a plan Jayce. Let's all get home safely before we're ripped to shreds."
"I don't know if that'll kill me actually. Being from a cartoonish world, but I don't want to find out if universes like interdimensional bacon either way." Peter Porker half joked, not coming out with the usual enthusiasm.
Climbing up into the shaft, Jayce left them with some soothing words. "We'll get home. I promise that all of us will go back." He closed the hatch before they could respond, and it just happened to be the exact moment when the elevator landed.
Jayce heard a few seconds of silence, before a muffled voice asked a stupid question. "Hey fellas, mind if we use the thingy behind you for a bit?"
As soon as he asked that, the guards opened fire on them. Not being too worried, Jayce ripped open the vent cover that led further into the facility before crawling through it. The thing wasn't pretty, covered in dust and had the occasional pest, but Jayce didn't let that bother him.
Jayce was pretty sure he heard the moment when the villains crashed their party, a big bang followed by a roar only possible by the Green Goblin of this universe.
Sighing to himself, it wasn't too long before he found a vent that led directly to the big-universe-shredding-machineajiggy. Peaking out, Jayce saw Peter B and Noir fighting Goblin, Gwen fighting Doc Oc and Porker beating Tombstone with a massive rubber mallet.
Climbing out, Jayce saw the emergency control panel close to him. Crawling up to it, just as he was about to plug in the goober, a metal claw wrapped around his torso, slinging him away from the panel with way too much force.
"I wondered where you went!"
'Olivia Octavious, I hope you don't exist in my world, because if you do, we're gonna have some serious beef!' Jayce cursed in his head, catching a part of the reactor and using his momentum to swing back around at her.
It was also at this moment that he realized two things: One- that she had caught Gwen's neck in her claw and was slowly squeezing down. Two- Miles was here.
Seemingly out of nowhere and because of nothing, her claw was ripped open with sudden force, freeing Gwen as the air itself seemed to shove Doc Oc back by the face. Appearing out of thin air, Miles caught Gwen and helped her stay on the ceiling while she caught her breath.
Jayce fistbumped him. "Invisibility?"
He shrugged. "It's new."
"You aren't getting rid of me that easily, you pests!" Olivia screamed at the top of her lungs, using her mechanical legs to rush towards the three of them.
Sighing, Jayce gestured to the panel, giving miles his copy of the goober. "You take care of that, and I'll take care of her."
Miles nodded, and Jayce zipped away. Contorting, he slipped through the attack. Ducking under a swipe of her arm, Jayce hit it at a spot near the joint. Blocking another with his forearm, he webbed the claws of that one, blunting the edges of the claws with extremely strong and sticky webbing.
"Argh! You spiders continue to be nothing but pests!" Olivia kept up the wild attacks, Jayce slipping under each of them like a trained pro.
In reality, he was panicking on the inside, relying on his spider sense to weave his way through her wild attacks. 'Why is she so angry? And why are these stupid hands so freaking fast?!'
Everytime he dodged, Jayce would leave behind a small focused point of damage, always located close to the arm's mechanical joints. Whether it was the shoulder, the elbow or the hands themselves, he slowly destroyed them with his superior strength. But he wasn't perfect.
