Chapter 277: Chapter 277: Tracking the Aether Particles
Alan flew low to the ground, with the Dark Elves chasing relentlessly behind him. However, they remained tightly grouped, showing no signs of dispersing.
Realizing this couldn't go on, Alan changed tactics. He doubled back and abruptly turned to fly straight toward Algrim. The surrounding Dark Elves widened their eyes in shock, unable to comprehend why Alan would return.
Was this not a death wish?
Algrim laughed loudly and leaped into the air, his massive, mountain-like body hurtling toward Alan. At the same time, Alan braced himself for the impact.
"Bang!"
The two collided, creating a shockwave that sent the nearby Dark Elves flying. Alan felt as though a cannon shell had struck his chest, his entire body on the verge of breaking apart. Thankfully, the energy from his Green Lantern ring absorbed the impact, leaving him unharmed. Even so, he now fully grasped Algrim's formidable strength.
Feigning a pained scream, Alan let himself be flung away, crashing through a rock before coming to a stop.
From a distance, Algrim surveyed him with satisfaction and instructed his subordinates, "You two, bring him back to the ship."
Two Dark Elf soldiers immediately stepped forward, while Algrim led the rest back to their ship.
Once the Dark Elves had left, Gwen and the others emerged from the cave.
Alan lay among the rubble, watching the two Dark Elves approach. Quietly, his ring formed two ropes that snaked along the ground.
Before the soldiers could reach him, their legs suddenly buckled, and they collapsed to the ground.
Alan got up and signaled to Red Queen.
The group reconvened.
"We've got them. Let's head back to the ship," Alan said. Without a second glance at the struggling Dark Elf soldiers, he dragged them by the ropes, their bodies rolling across the ground and smashing into rocks until they were bruised and battered.
Back on the ship, Red Queen knocked the two captives unconscious and laid them on the floor. After scanning them, she frowned in confusion.
"What's wrong? Didn't find a detector?" Alan asked, stepping forward.
Wanda and Gwen also came over, searching the two Dark Elves for anything unusual.
"No," Red Queen replied. "They don't have any detection devices. I can't figure out how they're tracking the Aether particles."
Alan fell into deep thought, wracking his brain for everything he knew about the Reality Stone. Suddenly, he clapped his hands as a realization struck him.
"I've got it! The Dark Elves can track the Aether particles because Malekith and Algrim are different from the others. To become Cursed Warriors among the Dark Elves, one must come into contact with fragments of the Aether particles. Algrim was created through this method. Since he was born of the Aether, he can naturally sense where it appears!"
"So, we need to find Algrim?" Wanda asked.
"Or capture him," Gwen said, already cracking her knuckles in anticipation.
Alan ordered Red Queen to pilot the ship toward the Dark Elves' landing site using minimal power. His eyes gleamed with excitement.
This time, perhaps they wouldn't need to wait until the Dark Elves reached Earth. Here and now, they could eliminate every last one of them.
And, they could claim the Reality Stone!
As the Dark Elves' ship came into view, Red Queen landed their craft behind a nearby slope. The group disembarked quietly. Alan saw Algrim in front of the ship, clearly furious, venting his anger as he stood near the entrance.
