Chapter 204: The Power of Mutants — Decepticons Start to Panic

> "Colonel Atkins, we'll take it from here."

> "Please, evacuate your men immediately."

In the tense silence of the battlefield, Professor Charles Xavier was the first to speak, addressing Colonel Atkins with calm authority.

What came next was bound to be a full-scale escalation—a clash far beyond what ordinary humans should be involved in.

And honestly, they'd only get in the way.

> "Charles Xavier, I appreciate the gesture," Atkins replied firmly, "but this is our war too. Unless I receive a direct order from command, we'll fight to the last man!"

His voice was unwavering, as expected from a seasoned soldier.

Charles let out a soft sigh.

> "Then… forgive me."

He raised a hand, two fingers pressing lightly to his temple.

His power activated.

Colonel Atkins and his entire team went still, eyes clouded for a moment—then, wordlessly and without resistance, they began retreating from the battlefield.

In mere moments, the entire military force had withdrawn.

Not a single Decepticon moved to stop them.

To Bonecrusher and his crew, the humans were no more than ants—insignificant and unworthy of notice.

Their full attention was on the new threat: the mutants.

Each of them was now on high alert, expressions grave.

> "Flashlight, call for reinforcements."

Bonecrusher's voice was low and commanding, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

> "What? Bonecrusher, you really think we can't handle these guys?"

The Decepticon known as Shredder growled in protest, his tone full of disbelief.

> "Shredder, put your arrogance away. Or did you already forget how we lost to the Autobots?"

> "These people are no joke. If we underestimate them, we might be the ones getting wrecked."

> "I'm not taking that risk."

Bonecrusher's voice was sharp and decisive.

It's worth noting: Unlike the movies, where Decepticons speak English even among themselves for human convenience, the Decepticons here were using their native Cybertronian language.

Which meant the mutants on the other side had no idea what was being said.

> "Understood," Flashlight replied crisply.

He immediately began transmitting a message to Starscream, the Decepticons' second-in-command, requesting backup against mutant interference.

---

> "You alien bastards have run rampant on Earth for long enough—slaughtering our people like it's sport."

> "But you've forgotten one thing…"

> "I am Magneto. And today, I'll remind you who the true masters of this planet are!"

Erik's voice rang out like a blade through silence, breaking the brief standoff.

> "Killing one of our useless grunts and suddenly you think you're something special?"

Bonecrusher sneered, clearly irritated despite his cautious demeanor.

> "You're still nothing but insects! Slightly stronger insects, maybe—but insects all the same."

> "Then why don't you find out what it feels like… to be killed by an insect?"

With that, Erik thrust out his hand, power flaring to life.

A tidal wave of magnetic force surged toward Bonecrusher.

BOOM! BOOM!

But Flashlight was ready.

He fired off several energy blasts in quick succession, aiming directly at Erik.

They'd already seen how deadly he could be—there was no chance they'd leave him unchecked.

At the same time, a green Decepticon tore across the battlefield toward Liz Sherman, her hands still glowing with residual energy from her last defense.

The Decepticon wielded a massive sword in one hand. With a roar, it leapt several meters into the air, bringing the blade crashing down toward Liz.

> "Liz, watch out!"

**Cyclops—Scott Summers—**shouted, hands already rising to his visor to unleash a retaliatory blast.

RATATATATATA!

But the other Decepticons weren't about to let that happen.

Several opened fire, Gatling-style cannons roaring to life as they sprayed bullets across the battlefield.

> "Shit!"

Scott was caught in the hailstorm. Forget saving Liz—he was too busy diving for cover himself.

The same chaos swept over the other mutants—except for Alex.

Even with Hank's bulletproof combat suits, no one was dumb enough to stand still and hope for the best.

---

BOOM!

The green Decepticon landed directly in front of Liz, sword raised high—

But it froze in midair, held back by a shimmering wall of blue flame.

Liz had activated her power just in time, hands glowing as she projected an energy shield above her head.

Elsewhere—

The energy blasts aimed at Erik?

Ineffective.

With a casual wave, he ripped a nearby car from the roadside and hurled it into the line of fire, using it as a makeshift shield.

The car absorbed the impact perfectly.

But he wasn't done.

Erik raised his hand again—and launched the same car like a meteor toward Flashlight.

BOOM!

Flashlight caught it with one hand—then whipped it back, slamming it toward Erik.

Erik flicked his fingers.

The car, now as light as a feather, was redirected off-course and flung harmlessly aside.

---

> "Alex!"

From nearby, Darwin rushed to cover Ravager Alex, bullets pinging harmlessly off his body thanks to his adaptive abilities.

Alex understood immediately.

Using Darwin as a mobile shield, he leapt up—

> "RAHHHH!"

A powerful shockwave exploded from his mouth, hammering straight into a red Decepticon that had just raised its weapons.

CLANG!

The sound of metal buckling rang out.

Caught off guard, the red Decepticon was sent flying—a four-meter-tall hulk of steel flipped like a ragdoll.

---

The mutants had arrived.

And the Decepticons?

They were starting to panic.
