Chapter 203: Mutants vs. Decepticons — All-Out War Begins!
A cold, emotionless expression settled on Erik's face as he slowly lowered his right hand, as if he'd just swatted away a trivial nuisance.
BOOM!
The massive remains of Rattlesnake—now split into chunks—slammed into the earth, kicking up plumes of dust and smoke.
The ground trembled beneath their feet.
And then—silence.
The entire battlefield fell into a stunned stillness.
Neither Colonel Atkins and his soldiers, nor the Decepticons like Bonecrusher, could believe what they'd just witnessed.
Their eyes were wide with disbelief.
What just happened?
Rattlesnake—one of their fiercest, most agile Decepticons—had been dismembered by a simple gesture?
What kind of sick joke was this?!
> "So… this is what they call a mutant?"
Atkins swallowed hard, his heart pounding in his chest as he stared at the helmeted figure slowly floating out of the Blackbird—Erik Lehnsherr, Magneto.
Rattlesnake had been a menace—darting in and out of the ground at will, tearing through tanks and tactical vehicles like they were made of paper.
Their heaviest losses were all thanks to him.
And now? That same unstoppable force had been torn apart like a fly under Erik's hand.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, Atkins would've called it impossible.
> "Impossible… Is this the mutant the Master warned us about?"
Bonecrusher's expression twisted with rage and disbelief.
> "I refuse to believe it! Mutants can't be that powerful!"
RATATATATATATA—!
Before his words had even faded, Bonecrusher raised his left arm. A Gatling-like cannon rotated to life, unleashing a torrential storm of bullets at Erik.
But Erik didn't even flinch.
He simply waved a hand—and an invisible barrier appeared.
The bullets came to a halt midair, frozen in front of him like a wall of deadly beads.
Then, with a flick of his fingers—
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
—he sent them flying right back.
The bullets slammed into Bonecrusher's armor, sparking wildly on impact.
TING! TANG! CLANG!
It looked like a high-voltage light show, but ultimately, regular bullets couldn't pierce a Decepticon's alloy body.
Bonecrusher let out a cold snort.
> "So you can block that? Fine—how about this?"
CLUNK—KA-CHUNK!
Mechanical parts on his right arm shifted, assembling into a massive energy cannon. He raised it, the muzzle glowing ominously as it locked onto Erik.
But Erik was faster.
Even as Bonecrusher powered up, Erik extended his hand again.
A surge of invisible force struck Bonecrusher like a hammer, lifting the giant Decepticon into the air.
> "What?!"
> "What is this? What the hell is going on?!"
Bonecrusher was staggered. Even after seeing Rattlesnake torn apart, experiencing it firsthand was a completely different shock.
But unlike Rattlesnake, Bonecrusher was stronger—the squad leader for a reason.
Even in midair, he didn't panic. He clenched his jaw, unleashing his full power to resist the force pinning him down.
He broke free—just barely—and fired his cannon at Erik.
BOOM!
But the shell stopped inches from Erik, repelled by his unseen barrier once more.
> "You've got to be kidding me!"
This was insane. He, a Decepticon squad leader, couldn't even land a hit on a single human?
Sure, Erik was a mutant… but still just a human!
---
BOOM! BOOM! RATATATA—!
The other Decepticons weren't about to stand idly by.
Seeing their commander in danger, they all opened fire.
Bullets and shells rained down like a metallic storm, darkening the sky as they hurtled toward Erik.
But he held his ground.
Not a single shot got through.
Still, the sheer volume of attacks forced Erik to divide his attention.
With so much energy focused on defense, his grip on Bonecrusher weakened—he could no longer finish him off as effortlessly as he had with Rattlesnake.
> "He's blocking everything! What the hell?!"
> "How are we supposed to take him down?!"
> "Does he have some kind of force field, like Fallen Lord Megatron? Try energy attacks!"
Realizing brute force wouldn't work, the Decepticons quickly shifted tactics.
Those with specialized modules transformed again—parts shifting and rotating until new energy cannons formed on their bodies.
BOOM!
An energy blast—twice as fast and far more powerful than any bullet—roared toward Erik.
His expression shifted.
His pupils contracted.
> Energy blasts… he couldn't block those.
But before the shot could hit—
WUUUUUUUMMM!
A brilliant blue shield materialized in front of him—rippling and radiant.
It absorbed the energy blast instantly.
Erik blinked in surprise and turned to see—
Liz Sherman, the cold and distant woman from the Rorschach base, arms extended, palms glowing with a soft blue light.
She was the one who'd generated the barrier—just in time.
---
At the same moment, the Blackbird finally touched down.
One by one, the mutants exited the jet and took formation, fanning out behind Erik.
He gently floated to the ground, standing beside them.
On the other side of the battlefield, the Decepticons also regrouped—gathering behind a freed Bonecrusher, who was clearly rattled but still functional.
The two forces stared each other down, each side bracing for what would come next.
The air grew heavy with tension.
The silence before the storm.
