Chapter 89: Chapter 85. Threat from Other Dimensions

As Noah emerged from the Void Rift, a bald-headed figure materialized in front of him.

"Uh, Ancient One, what a coincidence; are you here for a little rest, too?" he joked.

The Ancient One surveyed the island, almost completely devastated during the Void ritual, a slight smile appearing on her face that seemed to say, "You're serious?"

The noise generated by using the Rift Creator was truly deafening. Now, the island looked as if a meteor had struck it and rolled across its surface multiple times.

The island was entirely ruined by the energy released during the ritual. Forests and hills vanished, and small animals and birds fled in haste, though it was unknown if the shockwave affected them. As for the larger animals, Noah could only offer them silent condolences.

So when the Ancient One heard him talking about "resting," she thought he resembled a destroyer more than a vacationer.

"I sensed the presence of interdimensional power on Earth, so I came to investigate. I didn't expect it was you making all this noise," she said, ignoring his excuse and getting straight to the reason for her appearance.

Noah pondered. He understood that the Void's presence on Earth couldn't escape her notice. After all, she had been safeguarding Earth from various threats for years, with far more experience than Noah, who had only recently started exploring the power of other dimensions.

"Hmm, it seems hiding anything from the Sorcerer Supreme is impossible. Yes, you're right; a force from another dimension did appear here recently," Noah decided not to hide the truth, knowing he wasn't some villain from another realm intent on destroying Earth. And his Void posed no threat (or rather, not yet).

"Oh, so you recently contacted beings from another dimension? Or even made some kind of deal with them?" The Ancient One squinted, asking with interest.

If this truly involved other dimensions, particularly those that could threaten Earth, she couldn't leave it unchecked.

"No, recently it was my own dimension."

"What? What did you say?" At his words, the Ancient One was so shocked she thought she might have misheard.

"The energy fluctuations you felt were caused by me opening my own dimension," Noah clarified, and she finally understood.

"You mean you have your own dimension?" she repeated in disbelief. Having observed Noah's unusual abilities, she had studied his past, which was open to her unlike his future, which was veiled in a mysterious force. She was certain of one thing—Noah was human, though he had an unusual soul.

Therefore, she couldn't understand how he managed to obtain a personal dimension. When they last met, she hadn't noticed any traces of interdimensional energy. Could it be that in the past few weeks, Noah suddenly became the owner of a dimension? It seemed incredible.

While the Ancient One was puzzled, recalling various future events involving him, she considered that for him, perhaps, this was possible. His mysterious powers remained a mystery to her. Perhaps this dimension was somehow connected to these powers.

As she reflected, Noah quickly asked:

"Ancient One, this is my first time encountering such a power. Do you have any advice for me?"

He decided to seize the chance to learn more from her, given her centuries of experience and knowledge of dimensions far beyond his own. While he had already decided to pause the Mission to master the Void, extra information would never hurt.

The Ancient One snapped out of her thoughts and regained her usual calm.

"Noah, now that you have your own dimension, you are its Lord. Once you fully master it, you will gain great power," she said, her tone becoming serious.

"However, beware of other Dimension Lords. They are dangerous beings, and if they find out you're a young Dimension Lord who has yet to master his powers, they will do everything in their power to seize your strength."

Her voice sounded grave as she warned him: Dimension Lords are formidable and cunning beings. The strongest among them constantly seek to devour the powers of weaker ones, and right now, Noah, without a doubt, was weaker than them. Therefore, he needed to exercise extreme caution and give them no opportunity.

However, as long as he was on Earth, he didn't need to worry too much, as it would be incredibly challenging for a Dimension Lord to breach Earth's defenses, given the Ancient One's protection.

"Thank you for the warning, Ancient One. I'll be extremely vigilant," Noah replied, fully understanding that the threat posed by Dimension Lords and demons from other worlds couldn't be underestimated.

Beings like Dormammu, Shuma-Gorath, Cyttorak, and Mephisto were well-known to him. All of them were powerful demons from the Marvel Universe. He was particularly wary of Cyttorak, unsure if he existed in this universe, but he knew for certain that the other three did. This made him realize he'd need to be especially cautious with these entities in the future.

The Ancient One was about to say more but suddenly frowned, sensing multiple people approaching the island. These were representatives of various governments, sent to investigate the strange events that had occurred here recently.

Though Noah had spent three hours in the Void, time in the real world had passed just as swiftly. The authorities should have arrived much earlier, but a powerful energy wave, caused by the Rift Creator's use, had delayed them.

This massive wave of energy not only decimated the island but also created gigantic waves in the surrounding ocean. It looked as if a tsunami might form, but fortunately, Noah managed to open a rift to the Void, and the waves gradually subsided. Otherwise, he might have faced serious consequences for his actions.

The sea storm and residual unknown energy in the air hindered all nations from approaching the island. Only now, three hours later, the strongest among them began arriving at the site. The meeting of several nations in one place would inevitably lead to tensions, but it was no longer his concern.

"It looks like this place will soon become a conflict zone. It's not safe to stay here. Noah, I hope you'll find time to visit Kamar-Taj. I can teach you how to stand against powerful foes from other dimensions."

Sensing that the island would soon draw attention, the Ancient One decided to leave. However, before departing, she invited Noah to visit Kamar-Taj, which intrigued him.

Noah thought it would be useful to go to Kamar-Taj to study magic. This could compensate for his lack of spells, despite his substantial reserve of magical energy. After all, he still hadn't summoned powerful mage heroes, and his spell arsenal was quite limited.

"Alright, Ancient One, I'll try to find time for a visit soon," he agreed.

As for whether she might try to seize his dimension, he considered it unlikely. Her reputation was impeccable, as she had protected Earth for centuries. Of course, the Dimension Lords whose powers she "borrowed" might feel differently.

"Need an escort?" The Ancient One made a gesture, preparing to open a portal.

"No need, Ancient One. I'll return on my own," he declined, activating his Teleport. A blue light flashed, and he vanished, teleporting back to his apartment, where he had left a totem for his return. He could freely adjust the teleportation effects, and this time he chose to make it less noticeable.

The Ancient One, with a slight smile, opened a portal and returned to Kamar-Taj, hidden in the Himalayas.
