Marvel : Deadpool Is My Best Friend

Chapter 315: Tony's troubles in the future

"Well, do you know now why I let them go together?" the Ancient One asked Dr. Banner with a knowing smile.

Dr. Banner from the future swallowed hard. Alex Ray is incredibly powerful.

Thanos was like this too—why did he even need help from other heroes?

Alex alone equals the entire Avengers lineup. Perhaps only the furious Wanda Maximoff could match Alex in this universe. Maybe Thor once possessed such strength in the past.

But when Dr. Banner thought of the current Thor, with his beer belly, he shook his head subconsciously.

In his heart, Dr. Banner suddenly understood the Ancient One's intention.

Before, he had wondered why it was necessary to bring Alex and Doctor Strange together, but now it was clear the Ancient One's decision was incredibly wise.

"No problem. I'll meet up with my other teammates first and wait for your arrival," Dr. Banner from the future said eagerly, ready to share the good news with Tony Stark and the others.

They must be disappointed not to have found any Infinity Stones yet.

Dr. Banner originally had a communicator, but it was unfortunately damaged by Strange. Now, he could only go find them in person.

With that in mind, Dr. Banner quickly said goodbye to the Ancient One and Strange and left.

What Dr. Banner didn't know was that his teammates were currently in serious trouble.

"Tony, are you sure there's a Cosmic Cube here? This place gives me the creeps. Hell's Kitchen really lives up to its name," the future Ant-Man said, glancing nervously at the desolate streets.

Although Alex's efforts had improved Hell's Kitchen's environment, the shadow of war still mercilessly covered the area. Today's conflict had shuttered all the surrounding shops, leaving empty streets filled only with the wind whistling through broken windows and distant explosions.

"That's right. I checked SHIELD's intel and found that a guy named Alex Ray took the Cosmic Cube and caused a massive uproar," Tony said with a complicated expression.

With the help of his AI Friday, Tony had successfully hacked into various networks to gather critical information about this universe.

Reading through it, he was stunned.

Many heroes and mutants who didn't exist in their own universe had appeared here. This was a brand-new world full of unknown dangers.

What shocked him most was that Nick Fury in this universe was already dead.

Though publicly it was said that he was killed by the Lord of Hell, Tony's sharp mind and keen observation led him to suspect a deeper conspiracy involving Hydra.

This suspicion wasn't unfounded. The current SHIELD Director, Pierce, was known as a Hydra agent in their world, and here in this universe, he also served as SHIELD's Director.

That made Tony strongly suspect Hydra had infiltrated SHIELD in this world as well.

With Nick Fury dead, it was no surprise there was no Avengers team here. It was Fury who had assembled the Avengers through his many schemes and efforts.

Instead, a secretive group called the Illuminati operated here—some members Tony recognized, but not many.

The most shocking discovery was that this world's Tony Stark actually knew the truth about his parents' death and had even fought Captain America and taken Bucky Barnes' body.

All of it linked to Alex Ray, the so-called Lord of Hell.

Tony carefully studied all the information on Alex Ray and found it astonishing that this man transformed from an unknown figure to a world-famous Lord of Hell within just one year.

Tony couldn't understand how Alex did it. One person alone would be impressive, but what really baffled him was that the number of heroes in Hell's Kitchen rivaled their own Avengers.

Sure, the power level of their own Avengers was still greater, but if Alex had another year, maybe those heroes would catch up.

Was something wrong with this Hell's Kitchen? Or was there something fundamentally wrong with Alex Ray?

It was beyond Tony's comprehension.

If possible, Tony didn't want to sneak into Hell's Kitchen blindly searching for the Cosmic Cube. But they didn't have enough Pym particles left to travel again through the quantum tunnel. This was their only shot.

"Are you sure we won't be spotted?" Ant-Man's voice trembled slightly, his heart pounding. He feared the Lord of Hell might suddenly appear.

Ant-Man had witnessed the battle in Hell's Kitchen and thought he could handle the weakest heroes there, but not the others—especially not the powerful Lord of Hell.

The Ant-Man from the future worried he might never return to his own universe.

"Don't worry. I only dared to come here because Alex isn't around. You go in first and look for the Cosmic Cube. I'll keep watch," Tony said as they arrived in front of the Good Luck Restaurant.

They cautiously surveyed the area. Only an ugly dog was guarding the door.

Seeing this, both breathed a sigh of relief.

"Go in quickly. I've got your back here," Tony whispered to Ant-Man.

"Okay, okay, I get it. I'm a hero—I don't like doing sneaky stuff like this. But this Lord of Hell really has terrible taste, keeping such an ugly dog," Ant-Man grumbled, though he immediately shrank down into a tiny light shadow and slipped inside.

Just as Ant-Man flew into the restaurant, Tony heard a voice behind him.

"Mr. Stark, I didn't expect you back so soon. I just saw you. How's your friend points accumulation today?"

Tony froze at the sudden recognition but quickly masked it with a calm facade.

Turning around, he saw a young man in familiar attire. Tony instantly recognized him as this universe's Spider-Man.

"Well... not bad," Tony replied vaguely, silently hoping Ant-Man would find the Cosmic Cube and get out quickly.

If these heroes found out their mission, things would get disastrous.

Just as Tony prepared to continue with the young Spider-Man, more heroes began walking toward him.

Tony's expression darkened. Luckily, he was inside his Iron Man armor—otherwise, he would have been exposed long ago.

The Spider-Man here was easy to fool, but Tony doubted he could trick the others.

"Damn, is there a superhero party going on here?" Tony muttered under his breath.
