Marvel : Deadpool Is My Best Friend

Chapter 314 : The End of the War

"You are really strong." Kaito Daiki held the new trophy—General Corvus Glaive scythe—in one hand, sighing as he looked at Alex Ray, suspended mid-air in a display of overwhelming power.

Even after traversing countless worlds, Kaito was still somewhat astonished by the strength Alex demonstrated. What truly surprised him was that Alex wielded such power without even needing to transform.

"He's not just powerful—what matters more is that he has a team of reliable allies," Kadoya Tsukasa said as he raised his magenta-colored Decade camera.

He quickly pressed the shutter, capturing the heroic silhouette of Alex Ray hovering in the sky, as if freezing that glorious moment in time.

Then, his gaze drifted toward Alex's companions at the edge of the battlefield—Harry Osborn and Tony Stark, both of whom could transform into Kamen Riders, and other powerful heroes, each with unique abilities.

The scene left Tsukasa momentarily dazed. It reminded him of fighting alongside the Rider generation in the past—friends, comrades, warriors.

"Ah, youth is truly something else," he murmured, glancing down at the blurry instant photo that had just slid from the camera's output.

"When will I ever find a world that truly belongs to me?" All the photos Tsukasa had ever taken of other worlds came out blurry. Only those from his true home were ever clear. But that world—the one that belonged to him—had long since been destroyed.

Lost in thought, the dimensional traveler opened a portal in the air.

"Leaving so soon? Without even saying goodbye?" Kaito Daiki asked, watching as Tsukasa stepped toward the dimensional wall.

"No need for goodbyes. We'll meet again. My journey isn't over yet." Tsukasa turned, casting one last glance toward Alex Ray, smiling faintly.

Then, he gave a brief wave before disappearing into the dimensional wall.

"Alright then, see you next time. There are still so many treasures in this world to find," Kaito Daiki chuckled, ramming the scythe into the ground. "This thing doesn't suit your fighting style anyway, so it's yours now. I'll come back after I've learned some magic."

He saluted by placing a hand over his brow, then waved toward Alex in farewell.

"Wait for me, !"

What Tsukasa didn't notice was that the photo he left behind became slightly clearer after his departure.

Ding!

"Congratulations, host. Kadoya Tsukasa's friendship level has increased to three stars."

"Congratulations, host. You have obtained the Dark Decade Driver."

"Congratulations, host. Kaito Daiki has added you as a friend."

"Congratulations, host. You've received the Monument of Life from Kaito Daiki."

"Congratulations, host. You've activated the special bond between the World Destroyer and his little follower."

Hearing the series of notifications from the system, Alex turned his attention toward the place where Tsukasa and Kaito had stood moments before.

"Gone already, huh? Those two really come and go like the wind," Alex thought to himself.

"I was going to invite them to Hell's Kitchen for dinner... Eh, no matter. We'll meet again."

With the ground threat neutralized and the black hole in the sky sealed, only a handful of enemies remained aloft.

Alex turned his eyes skyward again—at the remnants of the Chitauri army.

Even now, fear had begun to appear in the eyes of the Chitauri soldiers. All they could think about was escaping.

The Chitauri were one of Thanos' elite legions, designed to fight without fear or hesitation.

But with Corvus Glaive slain and witnessing the staggering power displayed by their enemy, their morale had already shattered.

In their eyes, Alex Ray was like another Thanos—unbeatable, absolute.

Then the retreat began.

Some of the Chitauri soldiers commandeered battleships and tried to break free of Earth's gravitational field, aiming to flee deep into the cosmos.

But what they didn't know was that even though the black hole had closed, Alex had already blocked off their escape route.

He didn't bother chasing them. He knew that even if they managed to leave Earth's atmosphere, they wouldn't escape the Asgardian intercept fleet waiting in orbit. Thor, the Asgardian prince, had arranged for a cosmic blockade. These Chitauri soldiers were already marked as prey for the warriors of Asgard.

For those still lingering in Earth's skies, Alex launched the final assault. Channeling his mastery over magnetism, he tore their warships apart with ease.

Under his control, their massive crafts were nothing more than brittle toys—shattering on impact.

Those Chitauri who plummeted from the ruined ships were swiftly eliminated by his summoned Shadow Legion.

It was a one-sided massacre.

With unmatched strength and strategic insight, Alex obliterated the remainder of the Chitauri forces.

Descending back to solid ground, silence washed over the battlefield.

All of Manhattan fell still.

People stared at the man in the sky—this savior—with awe and boundless gratitude.

Then, as if a switch had flipped, waves of cheers erupted across the city. From Times Square to the Lower East Side, voices rang out in triumph.

They had survived.

They had defeated the alien invaders.

Though the streets lay in ruins and buildings had been razed, a resilient hope bloomed in every survivor's heart.

"It's over! It's finally over!" someone shouted, the cry rippling like thunder across the urban canyon.

"We survived!" a young woman cried out, her voice trembling with exhilaration.

"I made it out… but my home didn't," another muttered, standing in the wreckage of what had once been a bakery.

"It's okay. We're still alive. That's what matters."

"If Alex Ray had shown up earlier, maybe the damage wouldn't have been so bad."

"Yeah, what the hell was he doing showing up so late?!"

"Are you serious?! Didn't you see him fighting that other guy before? That was clearly one of the enemy generals. Did you forget the Illuminati and Captain America went down during that fight?"

"Man saves your ass, and you still got something to complain about? If you're so tough, why didn't you take down the Chitauri yourself?"

"I saw you hiding in the sewers, jackass."

"No wonder he's all bark now! Anyway, I'm just grateful to Alex Ray, the Lord of Hell's Kitchen, and the rest of the heroes!"

But above all the chatter, one chant rose louder than any other:

"Alex Ray is the GOAT! Hell's Kitchen rules!"

And it wasn't just New York. From Tokyo to London to Johannesburg, people around the world who had witnessed the intergalactic invasion were talking, celebrating, remembering.

Alex Ray, Lord of Hell's Kitchen, had become more than a name—he had become legend.
