Marvel : Deadpool Is My Best Friend

Chapter 219 : Spider-Man's Pep Rally and Return to Hell's Kitchen

"Take a break!"

Alex Ray's voice rang out, loud and commanding, echoing through the open space.

His eyes were sharp, exuding an unquestionable authority.

The Spider-Men immediately obeyed, loosening their postures but maintaining alertness and focus.

"Stand at attention!"

His next order followed swiftly.

The Spider-Men straightened instantly, their gazes firm and disciplined—like a well-drilled elite force.

Alex paced slowly in front of them, scrutinizing each face with care and a rare, satisfied smile.

It didn't matter whether they were male or female variants. No matter how strong or unique they were, in this moment, every single Spider-Man was under Alex Ray's command.

It was a surreal sight—dozens of Spider-People from countless dimensions receiving military-style training from a man who wasn't even a Spider-Man by origin.

The temporary training field stretched out before them, buildings looming in the distance.

Sunlight pierced through scattered clouds, casting a golden glow on Alex Ray's figure as he stood elevated before them.

"I'm sure most of you know who I am. And by now, you've seen my power."

"You've heard the rumors—I've joined the Spider-Society. From this point forward, we're on the same side!"

The crowd stirred, their attention rapt.

"I know what you've heard about me," Alex continued. "Yes, it's true—when I act, I can break fixed canon events. I can save your loved ones. I can stop your universes from collapsing."

A wave of hope swept through the assembly. The Spider-Men erupted into cheers, their voices rising as if they were witnessing the dawn of a new era.

"But it's not just me." Alex motioned to the two beside him. "The men standing here—Tobey Parker and Andrew Parker—can help you too. With their strength combined, your universes can survive."

Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's versions of Spider-Man were legends. Their presence acted like a beacon of reassurance—symbols of what it meant to defy fate and keep going.

The energy on the field soared. Everyone believed their tragic destinies could finally be rewritten.

"Ahem."

Alex cleared his throat, drawing all eyes back to him.

"But don't get complacent," he warned. "Your universes aren't safe yet."

Uneasy glances passed among the crowd.

Alex continued, "With Tobey and Andrew's help, the risks are lower—but there's still one major threat to your timelines. Me."

A stunned silence fell.

"As long as I'm alive, your universes are stable. But if I die... your universes collapse."

It was a heavy truth. One that made the Spider-Men realize just how much Alex was carrying.

"That's why you can't just rely on me," Alex said, scanning the crowd. "You're all too weak right now. I might be able to help you once or twice, but Spider-Man should never be the kind of hero who waits around for a savior."

His words struck like lightning.

"You must grow stronger—strong enough to tear through the web of fate yourself!"

The Spider-Men nodded solemnly. Alex's words weren't just encouragement—they were a call to arms.

"Those canon events—the reason they've always gone the same way—is because you were too weak when they hit."

"But what if you weren't?"

"What if you were ten times stronger when those moments came? Wouldn't you save your uncle? Your father? Your Gwen?"

His voice rang out like a battle cry.

"You must fight back against fate! You must seize your own destiny!"

The Spider-Men roared in agreement, voices rising with renewed fire.

Then, some began murmuring about what Alex had called them earlier. They were curious—what were they known as in the so-called mysterious East?

Alex turned and bellowed the name proudly: "The Failed Men!"

Gasps filled the air.

Disbelief. Confusion. Even anger.

Spider-Men had always considered themselves heroes—why this insult?

"Don't get mad yet. Look at yourselves!" Alex barked. "Other than a handful, how many of you are actually living good lives?"

His words cut deep.

Each Spider-Man stood quietly, replaying their pasts—death, tragedy, loss, failure.

Alex's voice softened but grew no less intense.

"I'm here for one purpose—to help you cast off that cursed label. So tell me... do you have the guts to change that, brothers?"

"Fxxk!"

"Fuck fate!"

The crowd ignited.

Alex turned to Miguel O'Hara—Spider-Man 2099—and gave him a subtle nod.

Miguel, watching the feverish crowd, felt a mix of admiration and awe.

Letting Alex join had been the right move. He hadn't expected the man to invest so much into them.

Miguel stepped forward, his voice rising above the cheers.

"To help motivate everyone, we'll be holding a competition soon. The champion will receive a Kamen Rider Killbus Transformation Device."

Gasps.

Cheers.

Screams.

"Killbus is incredibly powerful—I don't need to explain that to you. Only someone strong enough can wield him."

The crowd exploded again.

"Alex Ray actually gave us something this powerful?!"

"I swear—I'm winning that belt!"

"Keep dreaming. That transformation device belongs to ME!"

"Thank you, Alex Ray!!"

Alex stood calmly, watching as system notifications danced across his HUD.

[Congratulations, host—Lego Spider-Man has become your friend.]

[Congratulations, host—Spider-Man A has become your friend.]

[Congratulations, host...]

[Congratulations, host—Spider-Man 2099's friendship level has reached five stars.]

[Congratulations, host—Spider-Man 2099's friendship level has reached maximum stars.]

He smiled.

It wasn't a loss. He had several transformation belts—most of them treasures others would fight wars over. He didn't need them all.

Giving the Killbus Driver to someone worthy was worth the investment.

Tobey and Andrew both looked at him with obvious envy.

Alex turned to them with a sly grin.

"You can join the competition too. Whether you win depends entirely on your own strength."

With everything explained to Miguel, Alex left the base and returned to Hell's Kitchen.

He needed rest—serious rest.

But back at the Spider-Society base, someone wasn't celebrating.

One Spider-Man stood alone in a dark corner, his face cold and unreadable.

He activated a hidden communication device and spoke quietly:

"This is Spider-Man Kang. I have something to report.
