Marvel : Deadpool Is My Best Friend

Chapter 215 : Big Version Spider-Man

Alex Ray looked toward the battlefield. Amidst the chaotic melee, fewer than ten Spider-Men remained capable of fighting.

Although Killbus Spider-Man ultimate move had unleashed overwhelming destruction, Alex wasn't particularly surprised.

He understood it was a single-target ability—powerful, yes, but focused. Any Spider-Man able to withstand it had to be exceptionally strong. If none could endure it, Alex would have been disappointed.

Among the survivors, Alex didn't see Captain Universe Spider-Man, Spider-Man Beyond, or even the unique Venom-fused Spider-Man.

As expected, the overpowered variants weren't part of the main Spider-Society roster.

Surveying the remaining Spider-Men, Alex scrutinized each face carefully, pleasantly surprised to recognize several he'd only read or heard about before.

This triggered a flood of memories—an immersion into the vast stories of Spider-Men across the multiverse.

After all, Spider-Man 2099—Miguel O'Hara—was the leader of the Spider-Society. It was unlikely he'd be taken down so easily.

The Scarlet Spider wasn't an unfamiliar name to Alex. He knew there were multiple versions—each with unique backstories and traits.

Some, like Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker, were clones engineered by a mad geneticist known as the Jackal. The scientist had embedded Peter Parker's memories into them, making them believe they were the original Spider-Man.

Then there was the bizarrely named "Four Hundred Aunts." The name sounded comical, clearly created to appeal to a niche cultural audience, but Alex knew not to underestimate him.

He wielded techniques resembling those from classic samurai traditions and carried a blade capable of slicing through nearly anything. Among standard Spider-Men, he was known as the strongest.

Ultimate Spider-Man—a fusion of Doctor Octopus's soul with Peter Parker's body—was another variant. Despite his villainous past, he couldn't escape Peter's fate.

However, with Doc Ock's strategic mind, he had used his wealth to found Parker Industries and built an army of spider-themed soldiers. He even annihilated Kingpin's forces, earned a PhD under Peter's name, and created surveillance drones to watch over the entire city.

Iron Spider-Man was perhaps the most successful Spider-Man in the multiverse. A billionaire with his own tech empire, his Uncle Ben was still alive—and Kingpin served as his legal counsel.

His fiancée was Gwen Stacy, and his confidence rivaled Tony Stark's swagger. Arrogant, successful, and untouchable—he was a Spider-Man who had never tasted failure.

Alex hadn't expected to encounter him here. Had he not shown up, Alex might've forgotten such a "happy" Spider-Man existed.

Still, Alex figured his only loss might be his rivalry with Miguel O'Hara over leadership.

Then there was a stranger—Amazing Bag-Man. Alex didn't know much about him, only that he'd once temporarily joined the Fantastic Four.

Due to time constraints, he hadn't even made a proper mask, wearing a brown paper bag over his head instead. The absurd image piqued Alex's curiosity.

Ghost Spider-Man—now that name was familiar. Not to be confused with Gwen Stacy's Ghost-Spider, this was someone else entirely.

This Spider-Man had taken drastic actions during his life, willing to cross every line to achieve his goals. As a result, he was damned to hell after death, tortured endlessly—until fate gave him another chance.

In a strange universe, Doctor Strange was Bruce Banner, and with his help, this Spider-Man made a pact with Mephisto and returned to the world as a vengeful spirit—an evil Spider-Man, seeking redemption.

Among the remaining Spider-Men, Alex spotted one in a white hood that reminded him of Moon Knight.

He recalled a universe created by Gamora—Thanos' daughter—who used the Infinity Stones to fold the multiverse into itself, merging souls of heroes and villains into new entities.

In that twisted universe, Peter had been walking home with Uncle Ben and Aunt May when a green-haired werewolf attacked them. The monster was a horrifying fusion of Green Goblin and Moon Knight's werewolf foe.

Peter was mortally wounded while Ben and May were slaughtered in front of him.

Before he died, a mystical spider appeared—imbued with totemic energy. It saved Peter and infused him with ancient blood, granting him immense powers.

But as with Moon Knight, this power came with a price: Peter's mind fractured into three distinct personalities.

Alex stood silently, heart swelling with an emotion he rarely allowed—pride.

These Spider-Men far exceeded his expectations. Each possessed not only unique powers but also compelling backstories and distinctive identities.

He began to notice a pattern—those Spider-Men who were too righteous, too bound by moral codes, often lacked the overwhelming strength of their morally flexible counterparts.

It reminded him of an old saying: "The darker the soul, the stronger the power." It seemed to hold true even in the Spider-Verse.

While Alex was lost in thought, the remaining Spider-Men began to communicate silently through glances, silently coordinating.

They understood full well that Alex Ray's strength far surpassed theirs. Yet, that didn't deter them.

Instead, his overwhelming power ignited their fighting spirit. Each had dominated their own universes—none were weak.

If they didn't unite now, they'd have no chance.

Reluctantly, each accepted that Alex Ray was leagues above them.

Suddenly, a chill swept over them. Their spider-senses exploded in unison—danger was imminent.

All eyes turned toward one direction—Alex.

He felt the shift and smiled.

"Well then… let's move on to the next round," Alex said lightly.

His tone was calm, but beneath it surged a quiet, unshakable dominance.
