Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 465: Suspects_2

After Harry Sabo arrived at the designated location, he was murdered by two suspects. Enco Dumate heard the gunshots, but due to the distance and the darkness of the night, he was unable to determine the physical characteristics of the murderer.

However, Enco Dumate knew the location where Harry Sabo was shot, and he had been there before. He plays a crucial role in the investigation of this case.

After a series of meetings and discussions, Luke decided to start by surveying the scene.

Previously, the police had only examined the site where the body was disposed of.

Besides that, there are two other important scenes related to Harry Sabo's murder.

The first scene is where Harry Sabo was killed. This is actually the primary crime scene and is even more important than the site where the body was disposed of.

The other is the drug deal scene.

Harry Sabo and Enco Dumate were planning to sell drugs to a person named Little William Moses, but they were robbed during the transaction. This incident seems suspicious and is likely related to Harry Sabo's death.

Clues crucial to solving the case might be left at these two scenes and should not be overlooked.

The police then brought Enco Dumate to the scene where Harry Sabo was murdered.

This place isn't very far from the burial site, just under five miles away.

After getting out of the car, Enco Dumate described what he saw and pointed out the approximate location where Harry Sabo was murdered. By the time he rushed to the vicinity, Harry Sabo had already been shot, and he only saw two people lifting Harry Sabo onto a pickup truck.

Forensics found dry bloodstains and shell casings near the location identified by Enco Dumate as the murder scene.

The deputy with a sun hat frowned, "Meeting in such a remote place, they definitely aren't discussing anything good.

Likewise, there's no surveillance or eyewitnesses here, making it ideal for murder and silencing."

Luke analyzed, "According to Enco Dumate's description, he only noticed a pickup truck at the murder scene, and the same pickup truck was used to dispose of the body. The owner of the pickup truck is the deceased, Harry Sabo.

So how did the two murderers get here?

Did they park their car elsewhere? Or did they arrive in Harry Sabo's pickup truck?"

The deputy said, "I think the first possibility is more likely.

Because Harry Sabo and Enco Dumate were meeting here, it's unlikely Harry Sabo invited anyone else without Enco Dumate's consent."

The nearby "Little Black" asked, "Where would the two murderers park their car?"

The deputy shook his head, "I don't think the parking location is important.

As per my speculation, they probably followed Harry Sabo by car to this location. The distance between the two vehicles wouldn't be too far. Investigating the road surveillance along the way might yield some clues."

Luke snapped his fingers, "Good idea, deputy. This lead is yours to investigate.

I will have Enco Dumate identify the location of their deal with Little William Moses."

"OK." The deputy responded, considering the clues from the murder scene more significant.

Subsequently, Luke led the team with Enco Dumate to the transaction location.

The transaction took place in an abandoned factory.

Luke truly admired these guys; they always managed to find such remote nooks that even stray dogs wouldn't visit.

After getting out of the car, Enco Dumate vividly described what happened during the robbery on that day, "We were driving Harry's pickup truck at the time, parked right here, yes, I was the one driving.

When we arrived, there was a gray Ford sedan opposite us. I saw Little William Moses get out of the car, and Harry followed.

The two exchanged a few words, Harry waved for me to bring over the goods, and Little William Moses took a box from his car trunk, opened it to show us, and I opened the bag containing the drugs.

He checked the goods, we checked the money.

The money checked out, all in non-sequential fifty US dollars. Just when we thought the deal could smoothly end, three people suddenly appeared. They were masked and armed with AK47s, surrounded the three of us from a distance.

In such a situation, we had no way to resist; we could only obediently hand over the money and goods to them."

Luke inquired further, "Did these three people have any distinguishing features?"

"One person stayed at a distance, holding an AK47 and watching us. He made us squat on the ground with our hands on our heads, forbidding us to raise our heads, or we would be killed.

So, I didn't dare look at them.

The other two were responsible for taking the money and goods.

What left the most impression on me was a short person, the most ruthless, who hit us from above holding an AK47." Enco Dumate said while mimicking the action of striking.

Luke pressed on, "Was Little William Moses alone during the trade?"

"Yes."

"Did Little William Moses get beaten?"

"Yes, he got beaten pretty badly and even spat blood.

I initially had some doubts about him, but seeing him in such a miserable state… at least I wouldn't be so hard on myself."

Luke carefully surveyed the surrounding scene based on Enco Dumate's account.

At the spot where Enco Dumate identified one of the robbers as standing, he found a shoe print, which seemed familiar.

He asked the forensics team to collect the shoe print and compare it with those found at the body disposal site. They matched one of the robber's shoe print traces almost identically.

Luke immediately used an identification card.
