Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 464: Ambush (Part 3)

"Meet me at the previous deal location in half an hour. You give me the money, and I'll return your daughter to you."

"No problem, I'll bring the money over. I want to talk to her now."

The voice on the other end of the phone was silent for a moment, then a voice sounded, "Daddy, is that you? Save me, I don't want to stay here, I want to go home, sob sob..."

The phone conveyed the crying of a little girl, and Enco Dumate's eyes also turned a bit red. He said, "Sweetheart, it's me.

Don't be afraid, Daddy will bring you home soon. Be brave. You're the best girl."

"You better not play any tricks!" The deep voice of the man on the other end sounded again, then the phone hung up.

Enco Dumate looked at Luke, "Captain Lee, does this sound okay?"

Luke nodded, "Where was your last deal location?"

Enco Dumate said, "It's not far from here, about two blocks away. It's part of a black community, quite secluded, and there are no cameras."

Then, Luke communicated with Reid. Reid stayed in the Davilar Community while Luke led the team to the deal location. They kept in contact and acted simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the police also set control along the way, keeping a close watch on the kidnappers' movements.

Ten minutes later, the garage door of the kidnappers' hideout opened, and a black Chevrolet SUV drove out into the community road.

The Chevrolet SUV drove fast along the west side and slowed down after two blocks, entering a secluded alley.

A gray sedan was parked opposite the alley.

The Chevrolet SUV honked once.

The door of the gray sedan opened, and Enco Dumate walked out with a box.

The Chevrolet SUV door also opened, and two black men stepped out from the driver and passenger seats. The man in the passenger seat wore black sunglasses, with his right hand resting on the gun handle at his waist, "Why are you here alone? Where's Rider Kramer?"

Meanwhile, Luke and Jackson quietly approached the Chevrolet SUV from behind, searching for the little girl.

Luke peered through the car window but didn't see the little girl inside.

At this moment, the two black men also sensed something was off. The black man in sunglasses immediately pulled out a gun, "If you dare to play tricks, you're dead."

The other black man turned around and saw Luke and Jackson, raising his gun to shoot.

"Bang bang!"

"LAPD! Don't move!"

"Put down your gun and raise your hands!"

"Bang bang..." The gunshots continued.

The black man who fired first was already shot full of holes.

Numerous officers closed in from all around.

The black man in sunglasses raised his hands, sensibly tossed away the gun, knelt on the ground, and held his head, "I have no weapon, don't shoot!"

This man was the kidnapper Adel Owen. He was handcuffed and searched.

Luke opened the car door and thoroughly searched the vehicle. Still, he didn't find the little girl, then walked to Adel Owen's side to question, "Where is Enco Dumate's daughter?"

Enco Dumate also showed a worried expression, "You said you would bring my daughter. What have you done with her?"

Adel Owen sneered, "You also promised to return my payment."

Luke grabbed Adel Owen by the hair, questioning, "Look at me, where is she?"

"What do I get in return for telling you?" Adel Owen's sunglasses had already been confiscated, and his eyes showed resentment.

Little Black walked over and said, "Captain, there's news from Director Reid.

The SWAT team also launched a raid, and they found Enco Dumate's daughter in a bedroom.

The girl's calf was grazed by a stray bullet, and she was a bit frightened, but physically she's okay."

"Thank God!" Enco Dumate rushed to Adel Owen's side, kicking him hard, "You damned bastard dared to kidnap my daughter, I @#¥%..."

The surrounding officers quickly pulled him away.

Hearing the little girl was successfully rescued, Luke also breathed a sigh of relief. It wasn't all for nothing after all.
