Chapter 325: Sanosa (2/)
It was nighttime.
Tonight, the people of Winterseed village decided to organize a small feast.
The streets of the village were filled with jolly villagers. They could be seen strolling, sitting together and sharing stories, or with children playing games.
Large campfires were set to assist the lighting of the moon. Smaller fireplaces were also set up by the women for cooking; the aroma of delicious meals filled the air, adding even more excitement.
At this feast, everyone became a single family; anyone could eat from anyone and everyone.
Ren sat with a group of older men as they discussed. A smile was plastered on his face. The vibe he received from the feast made him swear never to risk his life again. If he had unfortunately lost his life to those evil spirits, he would never have experienced such a joyful event.
"Even though Lord Rowan isn't around, the love and peace he has created still lives on," Ren thought.
"He is so unlike that lazy, fatass Fagin, whose only motive for ruling is to acquire beautiful women whom he can't even make love to." Ren shook his head. "I'm glad he has been taken care of."
Ren ate from the drumstick in his hand and turned towards a direction where Liara, Elara, and some other women who had been abducted by Lord Fagin could be seen discussing and laughing with other women. A smile appeared on his face.
The same smile that was plastered on the faces of everyone attending the feast.
At the same time, inside Dragun's place, Riela could be seen sitting in a lotus position. A mana stone was placed on her lap, one from which she drew mana to attempt her breakthrough to the next realm of magic cultivation, stabilizing her title as a mage.
Dragun stood beside her and watched with a calm expression on his face. He had already given her the potion he prepared; now, all that was left was for her to fill her mana core with enough mana to trigger a breakthrough.
Riela was in a calm and steady state. She took deep and steady breaths; the atmosphere around her was gentle.
But at the same time, her mind gradually drifted away from her current reality, towards another.
As her eyes shut in the real world, she found herself in a new and beautiful world.
It was a luscious garden spreading over a long distance, seemingly unending.
Beautiful flowers and plants grew, dancing harmoniously to the gentle wind. Tall ornamental trees stood as well, with a variety of beautifully colored leaves.
The first thought that appeared in her mind at that moment was "wonderful."
It was the only word she could use to describe this place.
Although she was in a strange new world, she did not feel scared. In fact, she felt somewhat familiar, like she had been here before.
She began looking around, scanning her surroundings.
Her eyes soon found a beautiful garden house standing a few minutes away from her current location.
The garden house was pure white and tall; beautiful flowers crawled around its walls, beautifying it.
After spotting this beautiful garden house, she knew she had to go there. Something within her told her that was the reason she was here, and so she began walking.
Her bare feet stepped through the gentle path leading to the garden house. Warmth spread throughout her body.
After a few minutes of strolling, she arrived at the garden house.
It was big and spacious. Several out-of-this-world paintings were displayed on canvas; each art divine and excellent.
And sitting in the middle of all this beauty was a single figure that exceeded the excellence of the displayed arts.
It was a gorgeous woman with long, flowy blonde hair that rested on her well-sculpted bare shoulders. She had gorgeous golden eyes that stared at her with brilliance and familiarity, like she knew all of her secrets.
Her face was young; its beauty was something straight out of a divine painting.
She wore a gorgeous golden dress.
She was like an angel. No, more than an angel, she was a goddess, a gorgeous one.
And this goddess smiled at her in a friendly way.
"Riela... You are here, welcome."
Her voice was divine, which was not surprising considering her appearance. At the same time, it was extremely familiar and easy to recall.
"You...." Riela's eyes widened. "Laverena!!"
"Yes, it's me. Is that how you greet a friend?" Laverena stood up from her seat and spread her hands.
Riela immediately rushed toward her and hugged her. The divine fragrance of her body filled her nose, and the warmth from their embrace gave her comfort.
Both of them hugged for quite a long time, like teenage girlfriends who hadn't seen each other for ages.
After they were done hugging, Riela could not help but feel the texture of Laverena's hair and clothes.
Laverena smiled and let Riela feel as she pleased. Her gaze was as warm as a mother observing a curious child.
Only after Riela had felt to her satisfaction did she turn to Laverena and say, "I never believed I would come face to face with a divine being, a friendly one at that."
"Well, I'm actually not the first divine being you have come in contact with. But that is a matter for later, take a seat."
Laverena waved her hands and a table and chair appeared. The table was made of otherworldly material. Though simple, its beauty could not be underestimated.
Riela stared at the set of furniture that appeared with a wondering gaze for a few seconds before taking a seat.
She began a series of questions, starting with how she got here.
"Your body is still in the real world, attempting to have a breakthrough," Laverena explained. "Your soul is the one present here. This is one of my pocket worlds, and it's mostly for relaxation. As you can see, there's nothing serious going on."
"It's beautiful!" Riela replied. "I'm so jealous that you get to live here alone. I would give anything in the world to live here with Rowan."
