Chapter 94 – Garl the Troublemaker

The large man who was oppressing Lyrica was an A rank adventurer. His name was Garl. He was the leader of the party called Dragon Slayer. Dragon Slayer was only a name. They had never actually slain a dragon.

Garl was indeed very rough and oppressive. Not only Lyrica, but almost all C rank adventurers were treated the same by him. It was just that Lyrica was the one he bullied the most.

"Are you threatening me?" Garl asked.

He stood in front of Crowne. His body was almost twice Crowne's height and very big. His weight was almost two hundred kilograms. Garl carried a mace as his weapon.

Garl stared at Crowne with an intimidating gaze. It made several adventurers in the room whisper, saying that Crowne would be finished for daring to interfere with Lyrica.

"Answer me, bastard!" Garl shouted at Crowne.

But Crowne did not answer. Instead, he crouched down and brushed off Lyrica's clothes that were dirty from being stepped on by Garl.

He then helped Lyrica stand up. Lyrica quickly shook her head. She even stepped slightly away from Crowne.

"You should not have done this," Lyrica said.

She felt guilty. She did not even dare to look into Crowne's eyes. She glanced downward to the right. Her earlier firm and brave demeanor disappeared instantly. Crowne's impression of Lyrica changed in a second.

"I do not like this kind of bullying," Crowne complained.

It reminded him of when he was still at the Valden family residence. He was always belittled and oppressed. It was annoying for Crowne. That was why he immediately helped Lyrica.

However, what he did was disliked by Garl. The large man raised his hand, gripping tightly, and started swinging it.

"Bastard, die!" he shouted.

When he struck, the air trembled. The guild floor shook from the force he created.

Crowne only glanced at him. He sighed. "Rabbit Soldier, help me!" he said.

Slaaarrhhhs!

Blood spurted from Garl's hand. He instantly jumped back. There was a slash wound on his hand. When he looked toward Crowne, a rabbit holding a spear was visible.

The rabbit's eyes were red and sharp as if ready to kill, but a moment later the rabbit disappeared.

"Is that all your strength?" Crowne mocked.

He turned around and smiled at Garl. The smile was full of ridicule. Seeing it made Garl even angrier.

He walked toward the table where he had been sitting earlier and grabbed his mace. Without hesitation, he leaped and swung the mace at Crowne.

Seeing Crowne not moving, Garl smirked. "Have you given up, trash? You will end here."

Once again, when the attack was about to hit Crowne, something big suddenly appeared.

BAAAM!

A very loud impact echoed. Wind burst out strongly. Dust scattered everywhere, making some people unable to see the direction of the fight.

Until the dust finally settled. A large golem could be seen blocking the swing of Garl's mace.

"You are the one who will end," Crowne said.

He channeled mana to his hand and punched straight into Garl's stomach.

Baam!

Garl's body was thrown back. He collapsed. He curled up, holding his stomach. He even vomited because of the strike.

Garl was just about to stand, but Crowne was already in front of him.

"I do not like this, so you must kneel," Crowne said.

Baam!

A kick hit the back of Garl's head. His head was forced downward, smashing into the wooden floor. The floor even broke. Garl's head was stuck inside. Blood dripped from his forehead.

Not long after, Crowne crouched down. He grabbed Garl's hair and pulled it, forcing Garl's head upward.

Crowne stared into Garl's eyes for a long moment. Then he smiled again.

"Ah, you look pathetic. You look like trash!" Crowne mocked.

Garl was about to open his mouth, wanting to call his party members for help, but one second after he opened his mouth, Crowne punched Garl's mouth three times.

Garl's teeth broke, blood dripping from his cracked lips. But it did not end there. Crowne slammed Garl's face into the floor again. This time ten times. Before he stood and finished it by stomping on Garl's head with all his strength.

"Do not let me see you bullying people again. If you do it, then I will truly kill you," Crowne threatened.

After that, he turned around and walked toward Lyrica, who was stunned. Her eyes were wide open as if she could not blink.

Crowne took out a potion and gave it to Lyrica. "Heal your wounds! Tomorrow we will go and finish the mission, right?"

After saying that, Crowne sat back down at his seat. He sat as if nothing had ever happened. Even though all the adventurers in the room were staring at him. They looked at Crowne in disbelief. This was the first time someone dared to fight Garl.

Lyrica, Gorhan, and Meya glanced at each other. The three of them were shocked by what they saw. They even pinched their own thighs, thinking this was a dream.

Crowne, a summoner, could defeat Garl, who had extremely powerful physical strength. Making him feel pain was already very difficult because of his thick muscles, but Crowne injured Garl and humiliated him.

"It seems we picked the right party member," Meya whispered.

Lyrica and Gorhan nodded. They were relieved because they finally had a strong companion, but this was still a bit strange for them.

Why would someone as strong as Crowne want to join their party?

He could do missions alone or join a stronger party. But whatever the reason, the three of them were relieved because tomorrow's mission would be easier.

"Good thing we did not underestimate him," Gorhan said.

Lyrica and Meya nodded. It was good that they held themselves back from underestimating Crowne. If they had done that earlier, Crowne would not have helped them like this.

"Thankfully, I can complete missions and earn silver coins. I can save for my little sister," Lyrica said.

Meya and Gorhan patted Lyrica's shoulder. They smiled and nodded, giving encouragement to their friend and party leader.

"Yes, finally we can start doing B rank missions," Gorhan said excitedly.

**

That night, Gorhan, Lyrica, and Meya prepared what they needed. They bought ten bottles of low quality healing potion, swords, bread, drinks, and several other things they might need.

However, when they were about to go home, suddenly they were surrounded by several people. They quickly drew their weapons, and one second later someone with a face marked by stitches appeared.

It was Garl.

"Because of you, I was humiliated in the guild. Because of that, you will receive the consequences," Garl said.

Meya, Lyrica, and Gorhan looked terrified. Their hands and legs trembled.

"Beat them!" Garl ordered.
