Chapter 325: Teleportation Circle Acquired!

5 hours later,

In one of the circles, a small rock rested in the center. Lucas had placed it there just a second ago, and now, after sending a single point of mana to the charged circle, it began glowing brighter until the rock finally vanished.

Instantly, the rock materialized in the center of the circle beside it.

Lucas smiled; achieving such transportation was an accomplishment in itself.

There was also the fact that with each use, the level of the teleportation circle skill kept increasing.

'I'm learning more intricate forms of the teleportation circles the more I level up. With just a little more effort, I think I'll finally make it worth it…'

An hour passed, and Lucas continued using the circle and creating more.

There were about ten circles on the ground, and Lucas experimented with them to understand their limits.

Once a connection was established between two circles, it could only be broken if Lucas willed it or through external brute force. Furthermore, when a connection was made, it wasn't possible to link an additional or third circle to it—at least not until Lucas reached a higher level.

All ten circles were now connected and arranged into five pairs. Lucas kept placing rocks and using the circles, steadily increasing his proficiency.

He wasn't just creating the circles mindlessly; he was also testing their limits and gaining a deeper understanding of their core concepts.

After another hour of crafting these circles, Lucas had already reached level 4. For anyone else starting this skill, it would have taken a long time to even reach level 3. However, due to Lucas's extensive crafting experience, he was able to progress much faster.

The only benefit of his situation was that no one would disturb him. Everyone assumed Lucas was still in the dungeon, grinding through stages one by one.

No one would call him, thinking he was fighting monsters.

'Now, let's get rid of some of them,' Lucas thought, and with a single touch on the circle, he scraped one line with his finger. The circle's mana released with a puff sound, like a tire being punctured.

'The only way these circles will be safe is if I make them on metal or tough stone. Anything softer could be destroyed with just a flick of a finger.'

Understanding this, Lucas dismantled all the circles, making them vanish completely.

After checking the canal one last time, Lucas began traveling back to the shelter.

All the while, he was surprised by Bill's absence. Ever since Lucas had returned, Bill's presence had always been constant. Now, it finally felt like Lucas had regained Bill's trust.

By the time Lucas reached the shelter, it was already evening. Torches illuminated the defense walls, casting warm light across the area. A smile spread across Lucas's face as he noticed how, with time, the shelter was evolving into a proper fortress.

Inside, everyone was busy with their tasks. Haley was preparing food while chatting with Sandra and Ella. Mike and John were working on one of the newly built houses, which even had a proper hut now. Jerry was off to the side, punching the air as if it had personally offended him. Phil was in the corner, writing something on a slate. Sean and Barney were nowhere to be seen.

Lastly, there was Sarah, still supplying a steady stream of fire into the clay oven.

At first, Lucas simply nodded in approval of her hard work. Then, he looked again and was struck with surprise.

'Sarah had the skill Fireball, and I wanted her to use it to gain fire manipulation… but she already has a grasp of it after just a few days?' Lucas thought, astonished.

He quickly walked toward her, ignoring everyone else, even though they had already noticed him.

"Sarah," Lucas called, but there was no response. Now that he was closer, he could see a perfect stream of fire flowing consistently from her palm into the oven.

"Don't disturb her, Lucas. We all tried talking to her, but she's too focused right now," John said, stepping up.

"Too focused? How long has this been going on?" Lucas asked.

"She's been like this ever since you gave her this task. Whenever you leave for the dungeon, she starts spewing fire and doesn't stop," John replied, watching Sarah closely.

Lucas frowned, confused. Then, his eyes fell on the empty mana potion bottles scattered on the ground. He couldn't help but feel proud of her dedication.

"She's a genius if she's achieved what I wanted her to," Lucas muttered, walking away with John.

"I think she'll join us again soon. You came back early this time; is everything all right?" John asked, his expression more curious than concerned.

Lucas chuckled. "Yes, I got the skill from the Overseer."

John stopped in his tracks. Lucas paused as well, sensing the wave of happiness radiating from the man.

The emotion was so contagious that Lucas found himself grinning, even though he thought of obtaining the skill as merely fulfilling a responsibility.

"Everyone! Gather up!" John shouted, his voice carrying through the shelter. Even the dazed Sarah turned her attention to him.

"What's going on, honey?" Ella asked as everyone gathered where Lucas and John stood.

"It's a great day for the whole territory! Lucas, through his hard work, has gained the knowledge of teleportation!" John announced, leaving everyone stunned.

"You mean teleportation teleportation?" Haley asked, her jaw dropping in disbelief.

"It's not just knowledge," Lucas said with a smile. "I've obtained the skill as well. It's called Teleportation Circle."

This revelation left everyone even more amazed. Their astonishment soon turned into joy.

"Congratulations, Lucas!" Ella said, her voice full of pride.

Everyone voiced their excitement, and the shelter was abuzz with celebration.

"I'll make a special dinner to celebrate this achievement," Haley said. "Sandra and Aunt Ella, come help me."

The trio headed off, leaving the others to ask Lucas about the skill. Before long, Sean and Barney emerged from the basement, joining the festivities.
