Chapter 324: Seeds from Earth
"I need seeds of all the flora that existed on my home planet, Earth. How many stages would that require?" Lucas inquired.
There was a brief silence before he received an answer.
"If you want one seed of every type of flora on Earth, it would take 100 stages to complete this deal," the Overseer responded.

"100?" Lucas was taken aback by the number. To him, the plants on Earth were merely common, non-magical delicacies.
"I understand your surprise. While the flora on Earth may not contain elemental or magical properties, there are 8,221,998 species of plants on that small planet," the Overseer explained.
"8 million?" Lucas echoed, astonished. He felt foolish for not considering this earlier. Humanity hadn't even discovered all the plants present on Earth.
"Additionally, the probability of these plants mutating or evolving in the Plains of Amaeron is 98%, making them as valuable as completing 100 stages of the dungeon, which you might be able to accomplish at your current level," the Overseer added.
Lucas felt a mixture of pride, excitement, and confusion. Pride, because an otherworldly entity recognized the significance of Earth's flora. Excitement for the potential these plants held in the Plains of Amaeron. And confusion, as the Overseer's use of "might" indicated that the difficulty of the dungeon was ramping up faster than expected.
'I need allies, and the teleportation circle will be crucial for that. The only person I can rely on in a fight besides myself is Bill. Everyone else needs training. Another option is using the teleportation circle to bring in not just general laborers but strong, capable individuals. Dad is stronger than I am, Mom is better at business, and Tessa is a force to be reckoned with. I'll need to talk to the others about who else might be eligible.'
"You seem to be in turmoil, Lucas. I can assist with that," the Overseer's voice echoed through the room.
Lucas wasn't surprised. He knew she could read his thoughts.
"What do you suggest?" Lucas asked politely.
"Instead of acquiring a single seed for every type of flora on Earth, choose the ones you deem important for yourself and your people. Name them the next time you come, and we can strike a deal," the Overseer suggested.
"That's a brilliant idea, Overseer!" Lucas felt an immense surge of joy at this solution.
Sensing Lucas's happiness, the Overseer felt a rare satisfaction. Connecting with humans had been the right choice. Lucas was not only interesting but capable as well.
"Farewell, Overseer. I will return soon," Lucas said with gratitude.
"Farewell, Lucas Garde. May you return stronger," the Overseer replied.
With that, Lucas left the dungeon in high spirits and made his way back to the shelter.
On the way, he noticed numerous small animals in the forest but found nothing particularly noteworthy.
When he reached the shelter, he saw everyone absorbed in their work. Phil was, as usual, tending to the farm with Jerry beside him. Ella was with her tamed monsters, and John was ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Lucas didn't enter the shelter. After confirming that everyone was productively occupied, he walked to the canal just a few meters outside the shelter's defenses.
"Let's see…" Lucas muttered as he activated his perceptive eyes, observing the water, which had lost its clear, bluish tint.
The fish in the canal glowed with energy, and Lucas nodded, satisfied. However, after a while, he noticed something unusual beneath the roots of a large tree that dipped into the canal.
'This fish's energy signature is different from the others,' Lucas thought, closing his perceptive eyes and focusing on the small fish with golden eyes that stared directly at him.
Lucas stepped five paces to the right, and the fish followed his movement with its gaze. He did the same on the left, and the fish mirrored him.
'I can't make any assumptions, but this feels familiar…' Lucas scratched at his chin, missing his old beard.
The golden-eyed fish continued watching him, confirming that it either saw him as prey or had another motive.
"Hiding and spying won't benefit you," Lucas said, locking eyes with the fish.
There was no immediate reaction, but after a long moment, the fish flapped its fins and swam toward the river.
Lucas smirked. 'I didn't think it could hear me. With such low intelligence points, it's either a pawn or something else. Regardless, I can't allow a threat so close to the shelter.'
After scanning the water for signs of the fish, Lucas moved to a spot deeper in the forest where the shelter wasn't visible.
Dried leaves and debris covered the ground. Lucas analyzed the area he needed.
He inhaled deeply, his stomach expanding as he drew in air. Seconds later, he released it forcefully.
PHUUUU!
The wind roared, stirring everything in its path. Leaves and roots were torn from the ground as if it were nothing.
Lucas surveyed the now-bare ground with a satisfied smile.
'This skill never disappoints,' he thought, crouching to the loose soil.
He placed a hand on the ground and closed his eyes. A dim glow appeared, forming a small runic circle under his palm.
A minute later, Lucas lifted his hand, revealing the glowing circle with intricate runes.
[Skill 'Teleportation Circle' leveled up!]

Ignoring the notifications, Lucas placed his hand a few inches from the first circle. Concentrating, he created another one just like the first.

[Skill 'Teleportation Circle' leveled up!]
He observed the second circle, which soon dimmed too.
'Now, I just need to link them,' Lucas thought as he placed his hand on the first circle and infused it with mana. He repeated the process with the second circle until they were sufficiently powered.
A notification popped up.
[Congratulations! You are one of the first to create a link between teleportation circles.]
[Reward: 5000 Gold Coins]
[Gold coins transferred to the territory]
Lucas read the notifications briefly before dismissing them.
'I might be one of the first, but the size and range of this teleportation circle make it almost useless…' Lucas contemplated as he looked at the circles.
It was now time to test them.
