Chapter 120: Belongs To Master
After instructing her brothers, Kiona ignored them completely and focused on her opponent, who was also very strong. She could feel it, so she didn't underestimate him.
She took a step forward and asked, "I am asking you peacefully. Take us to your Tribal Chief, or you will regret it."
"Ptui! Then make me regret it," the Blue Ogre spat on the ground in disdain and challenged Kiona for the duel. "Just try me."
His spiked club grew heavy on his shoulder as he took a step forward, making the cracks increase in size and in number too. But it didn't put any strain on his muscles.
Kiona shook her hand slightly and adjusted the gloves before dashing forward using [Sunfang Waltz], as she left behind crimson trails.
The Ogre smashed the club forward at an insane speed that left behind images of the club.
A thin membrane of water formed around the edges of the club when it was about to hit Kiona, but she was clever and fast enough to dodge the attack and follow up with a punch to his guts.
The Ogre smirked and let her punch hit his stomach as the tough abs absorbed the force behind the lunge. But the impact still pushed him backwards.
The Ogre didn't let the opportunity go to waste and instantly grabbed her from behind before a flurry of watery bullets came speeding towards them.
Kiona's eyes blazed when she noticed him holding her hand as cold anger burned inside her. A burst of flames erupted from her, vaporizing all the water bullets.
It was then the Ogre, who was just gloating about getting an upper hand, heard the most deathly voice of his life.
"Nobody gets to touch what belongs to Master."
With that, he received yet another solid uppercut which sent him flying high up in the air again. But this time, the sheer force almost made him unconscious, and his jaw was dislocated already.
Kiona was planning to play for a while, but seeing that someone else actually dared to hold her hand, her anger erupted, and she couldn't control herself — neither did she want to do that.
She stared at the Blue Ogre as if he was dead meat and decided to end the matters quickly.
Kiona extended her hand as a crimson flaming spear formed in her palm, which turned the air so hot that things became blurry to see around her.
She clutched it tightly before throwing it towards the Blue Ogre, who had just landed on the ground. She spoke again, "I know you still can fight, so show me if you can defend against this."
The Ogre groaned upon hearing her, as the pain of his jaw registered in his mind. But he ignored it because he could see the incoming attack, and he had no doubt that if it hit him, he would get pulverized.
"I'm not going down that easily. [Hurricane Master]," he shouted as a spiraling water hurricane formed around him and began to grow bigger.
The spear collided right at the towering hurricane and easily pierced through it, as if the powerful attack that could swallow up whole villages posed no defense against it.
The flames were so hot that they vaporized the whole hurricane in a matter of seconds and filled the area with steam. Yet the power behind the Crimson Spear didn't decrease in the slightest.
Just as it was about to hit the fallen Ogre, something struck the speeding spear and changed its direction to the right.
The spear landed on one of the slopes in the distance, and a loud explosion shook the whole Ashfall Mountains as a big mushroom cloud formed in the targeted spot.
All the battles paused as they stared at the sheer scale of destruction with awe clear in their eyes. If this attack had struck their settlement, then it would have ended so many lives and pulverized a large part of their Tribe.
Only now did the Ogres understand the threat posed by these outsiders. Still, most of them weren't worried because none of the top champions of their Tribe had come out yet.
Even the Blue Ogre, who was almost defeated, was just the captain of one of their forces, but still not enough to be in the leagues of the true champions.
They also had their Tribal Chief.
As the dust cleared up, a huge crater was revealed with lava bursting out of it. Soon, they would have a new lava lake to train in.
Kiona ignored the newcomer for a moment and turned to look at her brothers and found the results as she had expected.
Seth had already finished off all the Ogres who came to fight them but kept them alive for obvious reasons. There wasn't a single sign of battle on his majestic fur, which said all about the battle he had fought just now.
As for Jon, there was only a small blemish on his side mane, otherwise he was also completely unharmed in the battle. His opponent, on the other hand, wasn't having a good time.
If Kiona's attack hadn't made them stop in their tracks, Jon would have easily won their little battle.
'Good job, boys.' Kiona praised her brothers and took a glance at her Master, who was enjoying the show with... something strange filled in buckets with Rias.
[Don't worry about the incident. It was a battle. If we began to take off hands just for touching us in battle, then it'll become a huge problem. It would have been different if he was our enemy.]
Kiona sighed and nodded. She knew he was right, but it just didn't sit well with her that some other man other than her mate had touched her.
Still, this much scare should be enough for him.
"Are you here to declare war?"
Kiona heard the pleasant, calm voice and turned around. The dust finally settled down, and she was finally able to view the newcomer.
Actually, this one was no different than the Blue Ogre she had just beaten, aside from his facial features and also the aura he emitted.
'A C-Rank. This will be tough.' Kiona thought before answering, "No. We have no intentions of declaring war. Not unless you force us to, so we would like to meet with your Tribal Chief to discuss something important."
"You can talk about it with me," the Ogre said. "I am one of the Champions of the Tribe and hold the authority right below the Tribal Chief."
"You can't decide anything on this matter. Only your Tribal Chief can," Kiona also spoke calmly.
"I think you don't understand what being a Champion of a Tribe means for us," the Ogre narrowed his eyes and said.
"I know everything about you and your Tribe. After all, we have already scouted out every bit of important information about this Tribe," Kiona said, looking dead in his eyes.
"Then, you will have to defeat me. If you defeat a Champion of our Tribe in a duel, you get the chance to meet our Tribal Chief and ask him for something. It is a tradition," the Ogre said.
"I know, and I accept your terms if that's the only way we can meet your Chief," Kiona said as she took a step forward.
This was really the reason they had taken such a show-off entrance, as this was the fastest way to meet their Tribal Chief. It would also allow them to ask him for the position in the competition for Kael.
[You sure you can handle it?]
Kiona heard her Master's voice and smiled slightly. She felt warmth knowing that someone was out there feeling concern for her and also waiting for her.
She replied, 'Don't worry, Master. This will be a difficult match-up, but I have confidence in myself. I will defeat him.'
[Alright. Just remember that I'm still here to back you up.]
'I know.'
[Go beat his blue ass, Sis. I wanna see if he bleeds water or blood.]
[Shut your vulgar mouth. All the best, Sis.]
On the other hand, the Ogre also flashed his muscles and got ready for the duel. He held no weapons, which meant he was also like Kiona, who used her fists rather than weapons.
As the two sides stared at each other, the tension in the atmosphere grew. Wind began to pick up as one side grew hotter and the other cold and calmer.
Then, the two of them moved and started the duel.
