Chapter 119: Show off!!
In the end, Kael's group talked more about the Ogres and other topics before they took rest for the night, as the next few days were going to be hectic.
They definitely wouldn't get any rest.
In the morning, they once again had the delicious breakfast they had become addicted to and decided to enter the Ogre Tribe.
This time, Kael didn't try to sneak inside and calmly walked into the tunnel used by other Ogres to travel to the other side of the Ashfall Mountains.
The journey was quite short, but all of them were on alert for any potential attacks. After all, they were entering enemy territory, so there were bound to be traps on the only way to enter the Tribe.
Clearly, they had overestimated the Ogres, as they arrived on the other side very peacefully.
Problems only started from here on.
They stopped a short distance away from the exit as Kael said, "There are two Ogres of E-Rank stationed as the guards."
"Heh, let me straighten them up," Jon snorted but didn't step forward. He would never move unless he was given permission or an order from Kael.
Kael rubbed his chin and wondered if he should do all the work so that he could show his dominance, but then he thought about how a leader should use his subordinates and decided to let the twins have some fun.
"Let them be, Master. They should also understand that not just anyone can make our Master use force," Kiona smiled and said. "We will handle most of them for you. Heh, they'll really be shocked when they can't even get past your subordinates. This way, they'll learn to respect you for having tamed such strong followers."
"This is also a form of strength show-off, I guess," Kael said and shrugged. "Alright, the twins can have their fun, and Kiona will be their backpack. Then me and Rias will be our trump card that we won't use unless their Tribal Chief shows up."
Jon laughed and dashed forward. By then, the two Ogres also sensed his arrival and tried to draw their weapons, but a single stomp from the mighty Lion threw all of them off.
Standing at the tunnel's exit, Jon snorted and sucked in a deep breath. Then, he roared with all his might, announcing the arrival not only of himself but also of his Master.
This was how their Master should always arrive.
The whole Tribe shook from his roar, and Seth joined him soon. With the might of both of them, they even managed to shake the Ashfall Mountains themselves.
The Ogres were alarmed, and drums sounded from all across the various posts where small settlements were established.
The twins didn't stop at that as they looked at each other for a moment before smashing the earth together.
Cracks formed all across the ground beneath them, and even small craters appeared with them at the center. It truly added majesty to their entrance.
"Damn! That's so cool!!" Kael whistled and even clapped to show his appreciation. It truly warmed his heart that his subordinates had begun to learn cool things from him.
On the other hand, Kiona was facepalming to hide her face, as if telling the world she wasn't with them. She sighed and thought, 'Whatever! As long as it makes Master happy, all is good.'
Still, she pulled Kael closer and whispered, "Master, although they value strength, I think they also value how one lives. So it's best if you don't show off your crazy side."
"Meh! It's fine. I just need to show them our strength and capabilities. That'll be enough," Kael shrugged.
By then, they had already come outside of the tunnel and were waiting for the show to begin. The Ogres were a race of violence, so now that someone had come knocking on their door, how could they stay still?
Kael didn't really want to provoke the whole Tribe for no reason, but this was the fastest way to meet their Tribal Chief in his opinion—and also the only way he would be allowed entry into the competition.
"Wait! I just realized. What if the princess of their tribe is ugly or not my type at all?" Kael frowned and muttered to himself.
That would really be bad, but it certainly was necessary.
'Forget it. I'll just sacrifice myself for the nation.'
"She's beautiful and definitely someone you will like. Besides, you are a pervert, so everyone will do for you," Rias said.
"You didn't speak the whole morning, and now that you did, you only want to insult me?" Kael rolled his eyes and thought, 'She still remembered last night, huh.'
Rias shrugged, not bothering to continue the conversation.
Just then, they heard the wind whistle as something crashed before the twin lions and caused an even bigger crater.
Jon snorted and waved his paw, which dispelled the dust and dirt, giving them a clear view of a titanic blue-skinned Ogre with a single horn on its forehead.
He only wore a few leather clothes, leaving his chiseled muscles fully on display. In his hand, he held a spiked club while his cyan eyes glared at the intruders.
'D-Rank, and a powerful one at that,' Kael thought before gesturing to Kiona. She also understood his signs and nodded.
"Who are you to dare invade our Tribe? Answer before I cut your legs off for daring to step inside and attack our men," the Ogre growled in a low, rage-filled voice.
"Why should I answer someone as low—"
Before Jon could continue speaking, Seth smacked his back with his paw and turned towards the Blue Ogre. "We want to talk to your Tribal Chief."
"Then you should have said that from the start," the Ogre scoffed. "But now you aren't leaving this place in one piece."
Kael almost looked away in embarrassment when he remembered that it was his plan to announce their arrival to everyone. But he wouldn't admit his wrongdoings.
Was it his fault that the Ogres were famous for their insane behavior and he didn't think they would meet resistance so easily?
"Just take our Master to your Tribal Chief," Seth spoke calmly, as he flared up his aura, which once again affected the surroundings.
The Blue Ogre slammed his foot forward as a powerful burst of aura emitted from his body, cracking the ground beneath and also countering Seth's aura.
It was even overpowering his aura.
One had to know that after training, Seth's aura had become much more powerful, but even then, he was being suppressed by this Ogre.
It just showed how powerful the Blue Ogre was despite both of them being in the same rank.
"Heh? Bullying my brother? Only I have the right to do that," Jon snorted arrogantly and also released his aura, which instantly shifted the momentum between them.
Especially since Jon's aura was much more potent and powerful. It made the Blue Ogre grind his teeth as his knees buckled.
"Just bring us to your Tribal Chief, and I'll leave you," Seth spoke calmly, but just then they heard a booming voice.
"You think only you have a brother?"
A Blue Ogre with one extra eye on his forehead landed beside them and released his aura. It wasn't any weaker than Jon's, so the combined pressure still put the twins at a disadvantage.
Just then, a couple of Ogres came running towards them while shouting something they couldn't understand. But their killing intent told them about their intentions.
"Enough!"
Kiona finally decided to step in since the situation didn't seem favorable to the twins. But it wasn't really a big matter. They were the weakest in their little nation, after all.
The twins acknowledged her order as Jon turned to look at the three-eyed Ogre while Seth focused on the newcomers running towards them.
The Blue Ogre also finally realized that there were more people. His gaze first landed on Kiona, and he was surprised as he couldn't understand the depth of her strength.
Then, his gaze shifted to Kael, who was watching everything with a smile on his face and arms crossed on his chest. His back rested on the rocky wall behind him.
"Focus on me!"
He heard a bone-chilling voice and tried to get away, but a solid impact on his jaw sent him flying into the air. The attack put him in a daze for a moment before he recovered and stabilized himself in mid-air.
He landed some distance away and looked at Kiona warily. Just this one attack had reminded him of the powerful enemy who didn't even glance at him properly.
Kiona turned towards the twins and the other Ogres who were watching her with surprise clearly written on their faces.
"Do you want to fight or watch our battle?" Kiona asked.
"Of course we want to fight," Jon said, turning towards the three-eyed Ogre.
Kiona shrugged, as if saying, why hadn't they begun yet? Then she completely ignored them to focus on her opponent.
The fact that he was able to stand completely fine after taking an uppercut from her showed he had enough strength to fight her.
