Chapter 123: Evil?!!!
[Beastify Nation.]
Jade groaned in pain as she and her two soldiers were forced to their knees before Josephine in the Throne Hall.
"You bitch!!" the female soldier on her left spat.
POW!!
A straight punch from Blood Eye sent her sprawling to the ground. She vomited a mouthful of blood and looked up in shock.
"Speak to the queen with respect," Blood Eye said, her one eye fixed on the lady.
The soldier glared, spitting the remaining blood on the ground as another soldier helped her back to her knees.
"Jade. Jade. Jade... Are you happy with yourself now? The lives of twenty thousand soldiers are on your head," Josephine said with a sneer.
"You!! You killed them!" the man kneeling behind Jade yelled.
CLICK!!
He froze, looking over his shoulder to see a gun pointed at his head.
"Calm down, Vince," Josephine said, walking to her throne beside Sunny's and sitting down.
"They would all be alive if she had surrendered... Look at it, we only lost 1,000 mercenaries, while you lost 20,000 soldiers... I wonder how their families are doing."
"You!!" Jade was enraged but held herself back. Josephine was right; it was her fault.
"Just let them go," she finally said.
"Oh? No can do." Nioh walked toward her, standing before the kneeling Jade.
"Have you ever thought of begging?" he asked coldly. "Let me tell you what awaits you three tomorrow." He smirked devilishly.
"You three are going to be stripped naked and paraded around the city... Then, after that, you will be hanged in the city square... What do you think of that?"
"...?!"
The three paled. Even with their Third Eye, they knew Nioh was telling the truth. They were going to die tomorrow.
"You bastard!!" the lady yelled again. "You're evil!!"
"Evil?!" Nioh turned to her, his killing intent flaring.
"Do you know who I am?!" he roared. "I am the son of the late Commander!! And also the son of the late Air Commander!! They are my parents!!!" he screamed.
"....?!"
The man and lady behind Jade were stunned into silence.
"My parents should be with me right now!! But this snake called them, saying it was urgent! Then left them both to die, all for glory!! She knew returning with my parents would never give her this position, so she left them behind!! Do you think they deserve to die?!" he yelled at the two.
"....?!"
They looked at each other, then at Jade.
"Commander? Is... is he telling the truth?" the lady cautiously asked.
"Commander, you told us you were the only survivor and even said the commander was a traitor," the man said in disbelief.
"Traitor? So that's the reason I lost everything... At least my parents should have died as martyrs, but because of you... They got nothing, and that stupid man I called family..." Nioh sighed, calming himself down.
"Forget all that... You're dying anyway---"
BAM!
The doors opened, and two guards walked in with an old elf in front of them.
"What do we have here?" Josephine asked with a frown.
The two guards pushed the old elf forward and bowed: "My Queen, her warship crashed a short distance from the city, so we rushed over and brought her to you," the guard on the right reported.
Jade and her two soldiers' eyes narrowed; wasn't that their ally?
"Queen..." The elf began:
"Josephine."
"Queen Josephine, I mean no harm... I'm a merchant, and in that ship are my goods... If you can help me repair my warship, I will give you all the goods in there... I also have celestial energy stones, and money," the old elf quickly said with a bow.
"A merchant? Why would a merchant be using a warship?" Josephine asked with a frown.
'What a fool! Saying you're a merchant, now answer that question!' Jade thought inwardly.
"My Queen... I am a small merchant, so every time I supply or buy my goods, bandits always attack me and rob everything! So today I planned to use a warship... If you check, it is completely unharmed, no ammunition... I just use it to scare the bandits away," the elf explained.
'Empty?! How is that possible? There's enough ammunition in there to fill five battleships!' Jade thought in shock.
"Hmm..." Josephine looked at the guards, who nodded:
"She is telling the truth. The warship is completely empty," the guard on the left said.
Josephine stared at the elf for a few seconds and asked again, "What type of goods did you sell?"
"Canned food, wheat, and countless seeds, which can be planted, and clothes." the elf said without hesitation.
"Okay then... You can distribute it to my people, Nicolas will see to it... You can stay in one of the rooms, and by next week, your ship will be ready for you," Josephine finally said. The elf bowed respectfully and glanced at the kneeling trio.
"Sorry for asking, but who are these three?" she asked.
"They are just criminals facing judgment... And merchant, we'll be keeping an eye on you," Josephine warned.
"That is understandable." The elf bowed and turned to leave.
"What is your name, Merchant?" Josephine asked again.
"I am Hayley."
"Okay, Hayley, have a nice stay," Josephine said, and the elf nodded, walking away with the two guards.
'This... She's in just like that?' the lady soldier thought in surprise.
'Should we have listened to her?' the man wondered.
Josephine stared at the three, then turned to Blood Eye and Nioh.
"You're up."
They nodded, pulling the trio to their feet and dragging them away.
BAM!
The door closed, and Nicolas turned to Josephine: "My Queen, about the stuff?"
"Burn them all," Josephine said, standing up.
"Anything coming from the Three-Eyed Nation must be destroyed. They might have poisoned the food... Jinx could destroy them, but it'll be suspicious, so you do it..."
Nicolas nodded and left the throne hall.
Josephine exhaled, staring into the empty space.
"How are you doing, Sunny?" She raised her hand, placing it on her neck, at the bite mark.
"Why am I feeling so restless?"

[The Prison.]
In the deepest part of the city, Nioh walked forward in a dark passage, the only light from torches hanging on the walls.
"Where are you taking us?" Jade asked.
"Don't worry, I prepared a special prison for you three." Nioh stopped in front of a jail cell, took out a key, and unlocked the door.
"Get in," he said coldly.
The three looked at each other, then at Blood Eye behind them, who held two SMGs. Reluctantly, they walked inside. Nioh closed and locked the door.
"Don't think about escaping... Only five people know about this place... Just wait for your death," he said, walking away with Blood Eye following behind, leaving the three alone in the dark cell.
