I'm Filming Variety Shows In Apocalypses

Chapter 24: “I Am Played Like A Doll”

Aon's dramatic shouts echoed throughout the corridor, embarrassing both Kate and the staff to death.

Lil guy, don't act as if you're sent to die, ah!

You're just going to shoot the variety show "My Alien Roommate"!

Aon had no preparations, but the program's team was fully prepared.

When they caught a certain lil axolotl, they immediately brought him to a separate room in the filming base and started to "interrogate" him.

"Hi, so you're Aon, right? I heard that you had just awakened a superpower— "

"Do you know what your superpower is?"

"Don't know? Okay, don't worry. You can slowly explore it. But first let's register you as an awakened person, okay?"

"You see, even if your superpower is not strong, the high-end entertainment industry welcomes all awakened people."

"You're so lucky to be able to awaken! Your career will be stable."

"Yeah, many field staff, rescue teams and other technical teams are people with superpowers."

"As an awakened person, as long as you're not too ugly, you can actually join the high-end entertainment industry, you know."

"Or if you don't want to become a star, you can join many big companies' exploration teams."

"Yeah, they explore doomsday worlds!"

Several staff talked to Aon non-stop while doing whatever procedures Aon had to do.

Then, they did a full-body examination, ensuring that the little axolotl wouldn't have any major diseases that might endanger lives when thrown to a doomsday world.

After that, they checked whether Aon was truly immune to zombie's virus and even gave him various alien vaccines.

The whole procedure lasted for half a day, and after that, Aon was thrown to the makeup team.

This team full of both young girls and mature girls immediately used a virtual technology to try on the best makeup for the little axolotl.

Aon watched the virtual makeup being applied on his face, but there was nothing there, just a design.

Even more shocking, the team tried on the makeup like playing a dress up game, with just a few clicks.

After the team decided on the best makeup, they put Aon into a cylinder machine and with a few strange sprays, the whole makeup was applied on his face.

Aon was once again speechless by the advanced technology of this world.

So these girls didn't need to have nimble hands and good makeup skills.

As long as they had a good taste, it was enough!

The last quarter of the day was spent choosing the most handsome but practical clothes for the best actor.

"This bodysuit is too stuffy— "

"Okay, let's change it. How about this military uniform? Handsome but practical and comfortable too."

"Let's choose the one with a little pink and white accessories to match his hair"

"How about this grey military jersey? It's casual but youthful. The color matches his eyes. The material is also good, fireproof and waterproof."

"Can it withstand some acid liquid?"

"Can. It's also more tear-resistant."

"Okay, just choose this one."

For the whole day, Aon was played like a doll, and only at night could he finally sleep.

Of course, he slept at the filming base, not knowing that the other stars who joined the show didn't have to go through such a lengthy process as he did.

It was all because he's still a newbie.

The next morning, after eating the casual breakfast that the filming base provided, the "My Alien Roommate" program's team quickly shoved Aon to the dressing room.

After Aon gets dressed in a grey military jersey and a black trousers with a hint of soft pink and white, the staff escort him to a sealed-up room named [F23 Apocalypse Gate].

Aon watched the hidden door in the wall open on its own and when he entered the room, he saw a huge steel gate with a bright blue portal in the middle.

Around the gate, there were already a bunch of people wearing special bodysuits, with each of their names and positions displayed on the small holographic screen above their heads.

When the staff in bodysuits saw the neatly-dressed best actor, they immediately surrounded him.

"Okay, okay, it's all good!"

"Your name is Aon, right? Aon, here's your virtual name plate...yes, the thing above our heads. Just insert the micro chip into your collar."

"Hey, hey, where's the nano microphone? Hurry, put it on!"

"The doomsday optical watch is ready!"

"Okay, Aon, let's try this on. Remember, you have to keep your watch safe. Without it, you can't return and will stay in the doomsday world forever!"

"Aon, look, the watch will become invisible with one swipe, and will flicker when there's an incoming message or instructions."

"Let's connect your brainwave to the optical watch so you can hear the director's instructions across the dimension, okay?"

"Remember, never let anyone touch your optical watch and always set it on a private mode!"

"This watch is your GPS so we can teleport you in an emergency."

In short, the optical watch was super important and there might be a reason why these people made the watch invisible.

Could it be because...some celebrities lost their watches in the doomsday worlds before?

While Aon was wondering, the staff had already put on the optical watch and Aon smoothly connected his brainwave to the optical watch.

Of course, he had to take off his own watch and transferred the AI assistant to the new watch.

Naturally, he missed the glaring red message sent to his inbox.

[The deadline is here. Please pay 5000 star coins today. Otherwise...]

But the message was like thrown into the sea, lost with countless other messages from the Starnet.

After Aon made sure that his equipment was ready, only then did remember one crucial thing.

He...he didn't know what kind of show "My Alien Roommate" was!

He didn't have time to watch a few episodes because the staff kept bothering him.

And...where's the script?

Any variety show, especially this one that looked like a reality show, should have a script, right?

But when Aon asked the nearby staff...they all laughed, feeling amused by this newbie.

"Lil guy, many doomsday reality shows don't have scripts. You will have to listen to the director's instructions on the spot!"

Aon instantly wanted to shout to the sky.

He...he didn't even know what the show was all about!!

How could he film this reality show safely??
