I Sell Bottled Water for Gold in Another World!

Chapter 110: The Plan In Action

Khushi's face went through a spectrum of emotions from initial anger to disbelief, and then something dangerously close to madness.

The color drained from her cheeks, leaving her looking almost ghostly under the bar's dim lighting.

"Hehe."

Alex watched Khushi's furious expression with barely concealed amusement.

His smile held layers of meaning that he didn't bother to explain.

There was no point in arguing with someone who was already this maked up her mind.

The truth was, Alex had every intention of paying the bill himself.

He wasn't some cheapskate who would let a woman cover the bill, especially not when he had the money to spare.

The reason he had spoken that way earlier was simple he couldn't stand watching Khushi's obvious scheming.

It was written all over her face, the way she had been calculating and plotting since the moment he had arrived.

Riya had only come here to unwind with a drink after a long day.

As a grown man with some sense of decency, Alex wasn't petty enough to haggle over a bar bill.

But seeing Khushi grind her teeth in frustration? That was almost worth the price.

He could practically see the gears turning in her head.

She may be already cooking up her next plan

Alex thought taking a sip of his drink and settling back to see what she more she could come up with.

Khushi rolled her eyes so hard it was a miracle they did not fall out of her head.

This approach had been a complete bust for her.

Time for plan B.

"I've got it!" The idea hit her like a lightning bolt out of knowhere.

"I'll get one of the girls to flirt with him. No man can resist when a gorgeous woman throws herself at him.

When Riya finally sees him acting like a total creep, she will finally understand what kind of guy this security guard really is."

The plan was foolproof.

Men were after all predictable creatures, especially when alcohol was involved and a beautiful woman was doing all the work.

Excusing herself with a mumbled comment about the need to use the restroom, Khushi slipped away from their table and stepped outside the bar.

The music faded to a dull throb as she pulled out her phone and scrolled through her contacts.

Her friend circle was full of girls who practically lived in places like this.

They knew the game, knew how to play it right, and more importantly, they owed her favors far too many to count.

"Tanya? Are you busy tonight?....No?Good.

Listen...I need a huge favor... Yeah, it's exactly what you think. Here's what I need you to do..."

After Khushi laid out her plan in detail, painting Alex as some nobody who was trying to take advantage of her innocent friend, the voice on the other end immediately understood the assignment.

Tanya was one of her closest friends from college.

The girl was absolutely stunningly tall, with curves in all the right places and a figure that is enough to stop traffic.

She had this way of making men forget their own names, and she knew exactly how to use it.

"Consider it done," Tanya agreed without missing a beat. She had been planning a quiet night in, but this sounded way more entertaining.

Twenty minutes later, Tanya walked into the bar like she owned the place.

Her eyes swept the room with practiced efficiency until they landed on Alex.

Even from across the crowded space, she could see why Khushi had sounded so frustrated on the phone.

The guy was ridiculously good-looking to say the least of his handsomeness.

Among all the men scattered throughout the bar there were plenty of decent-looking ones but Alex easily took the top spot.

It wasn't just his looks, though those were definitely working for him.

There was something about the way he carried himself, confident but not arrogant, that made him stand out from the usual crowd of guys trying too hard to impress.

Tanya had originally planned to spend the evening at a karaoke place with some of her other friends.

Honestly, she had not been thrilled about Khushi's request initially.

Seducing someone else's boyfriend felt a bit messy, even for her.

But now that she'd seen him in person? This was going to be interesting.

"Khushi definitely undersold this situation," she thought, already feeling that familiar thrill of a challenge. "This guy is absolutely my type."

With a plan forming in her mind, Tanya made her way onto the dance floor.

She moved with the kind of confidence that came from knowing exactly what effect she had on people.

Her hips swayed to the beat as she gradually worked her way closer to Alex's table.

The approach had to look natural, like a coincidence nothing too suspicious.

She danced her way through the crowd, letting her body brush against his sometimes obviously intentional, sometimes with just enough to say it was a mistake, to make it seem accidental.

Each touch was calculated to test his reactions.

Alex's jaw tightened almost immediately.

He knew exactly what game was being played here.

The "accidental" contact, the way she kept finding reasons to lean against him, the not-so-subtle way she was positioning herself he knew it was textbook example of seduction these days, and it was not subtle at all.

Thank god at least they were in a reputed bar where things couldn't get completely out of hand, but the intent was crystal clear from her side.

From her seat, Riya noticed the situation too, which inadvertently made her blood started to boil.

She tried to intervene, gently but firmly attempting to create some distance between this stranger and Alex.

But every time she managed to redirect the woman's attention, Tanya would slip around her defenses and find another excuse to get close to him.

The whole thing was infuriating.

(。•́︿•̀。)

"What is her problem?"

Riya fumed silently, watching this woman practically throw herself at Alex.

"Why does she keep trying to—" She couldn't even finish the thought without getting more annoyed.

The audacity of it all was staggering.

Here she was, trying to enjoy a simple evening out with Alex, and some random woman had decided to turn it into her personal hunting ground on her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Khushi watched from her strategic position near the bar, a satisfied smile playing at her lips.

Phase one was in motion.

Now all she had to do was wait for Alex to take the bait and show his true colors.

Once Riya saw him responding to another woman's advances, this whole ridiculous situation would sort itself out.

The plan was perfect. What could possibly go wrong?
