I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 568: Eternal Limbo

Swoosh! Clank!

The slash was not able to break through the multi-colored shield that appeared right before the man. He smirked and glanced at the Paragon behind him. It was a humanoid Paragon that had a head of a stag and a body of human filled with dark brown fur.

"What menacing creature," the man laughed. He retracted his shield and jumped, making the Paragon look up. "I release you of your suffering."

Dozens of poles that were made up of multicolored energy appeared around the man. With a single point of his finger, the poles fired towards the Paragon, instantly killing it. The man laughed as he landed on the ground.

"You created a decoy of him, huh?" the man laughed. He collected the corpse of the Paragon that he just killed.

Trinidad stepped away from her chair and glanced at the dark red crystal behind her. "You have one in your shop too, don't you? Mine is just more convincing than yours."

"That bothers me, actually." The man dragged the corpse and threw it right beside Trinidad's house where a portal appeared and sucked the corpse inside. "Why would these beasts think that Elliot would hide with a Guard like you instead of me? I'm harmless."

"You can hide your energy through that band of yours, but you can never hide who you really are," Trinidad argued. "In fact, I'm also very much afraid of you. I want to run away as far as I can."

"I won't kill you," the man said. "I just want to thank you for teaching them. They did say that the Guard of Conquest can teach even a frog Omniscience. I was not disappointed."

"Cut the crap," Trinidad scoffed. "You just let me live as long as I distract these Paragons. Once I'm done, you'll kill me too. I can't even hide from you."

"You're wrong about the first part, but you're certainly not wrong about the second," the man laughed. "Oh, well. I have to go back to my blacksmithing. I hope Elliot stays safe in Hell though. Sariel is not someone that you can just fight with Omniscience alone. You also have to have proper mental fortitude."

Trinidad gritted her teeth. "He's not doing that, is he?"

"Not yet," the man replied. "But he will soon. I bet he will do it right about now. I know him well enough."

"Even after all these centuries," Trinidad sighed. "You still think people never change. Sariel has changed so much. At least, that's what I know."

"According to a report from a very reliable person, he hasn't," the man laughed. "I bet he won't change."

Trinidad did not continue their conversation as the man left. She was silent, gritting her teeth and clenching her fists. She slowly turned toward the crystal with hopeful eyes. "Be careful, Elliot."

Meanwhile in Hell, Elliot launched his first attack. A reddish black slash that he created from his sword. It was a powerful energy slash that could slice through metals like they were butter.

"Nonsense," Bruno said. "You cannot defeat me just yet. I am invincible!"

He raised his hands and retracted the black strings that he sent out. He was laughing maniacally as the strings entered him.

"No!" Elliot yelled.

Slash! Slash!

Bruno absorbed the end of the string when he realized that there were no bodies on the strings. "Where are their bodies?!"

"I don't think we can let you have them," Hope said. "These are ours for now. You can get them later."

"It's no fair that you use Omniscience with just one battle. Now we have to use it too," Ed added. "Look at us!"

Hope was in his dragonoid form, but his scales were now made of glowing crystals. It was dark gray in color with some shades of lighter gray and black. His head was covered with a crystal armor that had two horns curling to the front.

His arms were also covered with thick crystals, creating glove-like equipment. His sword and shield also share the same crystal branding, with the sword having a black glowing light right inside the see-through crystal.

Meanwhile, Ed was covered in armor in a similar fashion to Hope. He was covered with a dark purple smoke-like armor that was solid as the hardest iron. A knight was hovering above him, fully equipped with armor and weapons. The knight was attached to his waist down to his legs where it weaved into his boots.

"Do you think our friends would let you just do what you want?" Elliot laughed. "You're just a corrupted Angel now, we're Eternals."

"True," Bruno said. "You're all Eternals, although not all of you will live eternally."

"Not if I can help it!" Lance yelled. "Dual Grand Rapid Pierce!"

He thrust his swords with a swift and smooth movement, barely visible to the naked eye. His attack created two cone-shaped energies that were black and white in color. The attacks reached Bruno, but the man blocked it with his black strings.

"Such fuss," Bruno growled. "I don't want to do this, but you all left me no other choice. If I can't get you to succumb to your wounds, then allow me to let you succumb to your sleep!"

A black fog rushed out of Bruno's body. Elliot and his group distanced themselves from the fog and let it flow through the ground.

"Hey, let me—"

Connor was not able to finish his sentence when he saw everyone drop to the ground— all unconscious. He was looking around but there was nobody else that's left but him. He was in the air, so the fog was not able to reach him.

"Don't move."

Connor heard Irus say from afar. The Behemoth jumped from the ground and to the sky where he hovered beside Hope. "This is Sariel's fog. It will knock out anyone it comes in contact with and then send them to his Eternal Limbo."

"Eternal Limbo?" Connor asked. "What is that?"

Irus sighed. "The victim's most helpless memory."
