I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 566: Land of Fantasies

"Land of Fantasies!" Trick cast, trapping Bruno in an illusion that he created.

"What's all this?" Bruno asked as the darkness wrapped around him and swallowed him before pushing him out and entering a world that looked like the one he was on, but he knows it wasn't.

Bruno did not see it coming. Trick's magic used a long time to cast because it was a very powerful skill. Although Trick was skeptical at first— that maybe it wouldn't work, but after he saw how Bruno was affected by attacks, he was determined.

He could do it. Maybe not entirely defeat him, but at least stall him while they prepare for the final battle.

"You little piece of sh*t," Bruno growled. "I always knew you had one trick up your sleeve. I just didn't thought that it would be a cheap tactic like this. Trapping me in an illusion, really?"

Trick appeared in front of Bruno, but the latter knew it was just another illusion. "Bruno, I never thought that this would happen between us. I thought we were close— like brothers. Then you're not really you and that hurt me so."

"What a bunch of lies," Bruno laughed. "You have always envied me. I was always powerful and as I got my powers back slowly, I also got more powerful as the years came. I was just a nobody who entered the Black Castle and then I sudden became the most powerful Vassal among Malice's court."

"You're delusional," Trick showed a face of grimace and disgust. "Why must you always think that everything is a competition or a race? I loved you like a brother, Bruno. I never thought anything else."

"Well, you should have," Bruno smirked. "Because once I get out of here, I will destroy Hell and I will kill every single one of you. Of course, I'll tie you up and kill you last, Trick. I will let you watch everything go up in flames. Everything."

"Bruno, you're psychotic," Trick shook his head in disbelief. "How could you say that? Hell was like your home."

"Hell was never my home!" Bruno laughed. "Nor Heaven, nor anything else. My home is chaos and destruction. My home is despair."

Bruno held his hands together and wrapped himself with a spinning mana. Trick watched as the mana seeped into the air, creating tendril-like structures. Bruno stared in nothingness as his mana grew and became more powerful by the second.

"What are you doing?" Trick asked. "Why are you... Stop that, Bruno!"

"I shall destroy the borders of fantasy and reality," Bruno yelled. "I will own this Realm!"

Trick tried to exit the illusion and informed his group, but he was bound to the illusion by Bruno's magic. "What?"

"Sariel has the most powerful magic that even Heaven was scared of. They didn't know what to do with my magic, so they raised me to become evil and then kill me to look like they're heroes," Bruno said. "All my brothers, but one, killed me. They destroyed me!"

"But why do you hate the world when you can just hate your brothers?" Trick asked. "Sounds like your anger has been misdirected, Bruno."

Bruno pursed his lips and shrugged. "Well, why just kill my brothers when I can kill everyone. I'm not someone who's going to stop at one stop. I will take everything because now I can."

"What selfish act," Trick shook his head. "You're really not the Bruno that I used to know."

"I was never the Bruno that you used to know," Bruno laughed. "I have always been Sariel and I will forever be Sariel."

"Goodbye, Bruno." Trick became a whiff of white smoke before vanishing. When Bruno saw this, he was looking around to see where Trick was, but the illusionist has vanished outside the illusion.

"You really think that this is your world, huh?" Bruno laughed. The tendrils grew and almost occupied the spherical shape of the illusion. He was almost taking power over it.

When Trick returned to the real world, he heard a ringing sound in his ear. It was loud and he was in pain all over his body. His eyes fluttered open to see Barbara carrying him while running away from a bright black light.

When he glanced at the source, it was Bruno's floating body. He was wrapped with a spinning sphere of black magic and everything around him was being sucked and turned into nothing.

"What in the hell is that?" Trick asked with a gulp. "What is happening?"

"That's Bruno," Barbara said. "Our plan backfired and he's now that."

"What do you mean our plan backfired? It was a solid plan. He couldn't have been possibly able to break it?"

"He couldn't," Elliot said as he ran beside them. "He wasn't able to escape the illusion so his body ate everything around it. I assume he's taking over the illusion as we speak."

The scene inside the Land of Fantasy entered Trick's mind. Bruno was smirking at him as the tendrils slowly surrounded the entire illusion.

"Oh, my god," Trick groaned. "I didn't thought that he could do something like that."

"Well, he could," Lance sighed. "I guess we're going to need another plan now. How do we destroy this angel?"

"Look at the color of his aura," Elliot pointed at Bruno. "Bruno's powers are black in color, which means that they're not from Heaven anymore. His powers have been tainted and that could only mean that he's been corrupted with some kind of black magic."

Trick's eyes widened at the realization. He looked at Bruno and then asked Barbara to put him down. "Oh, my god."

They all stopped from their tracks as they watched Trick view the scene in horror. "Has she always known? What... I don't understand."

"What?" Elliot asked. "What are you saying, Trick?"

"Malice..." Trick trailed off. "She has been planning all of these from the start. She's the one who corrupted Bruno."

A woman was sobbing inside her room, tears pouring from her eyes. "Everything was exploding. I didn't know what to do. How to do it? I was so scared."

"Shush, my little child," Malice held her daughter in her arms, humming her gentle music as they laid in bed in a half-destroyed room. "Our enemies are killing each other. No need to panic."

"Our enemies?" the woman looked up. "Who are they?"

"You don't need to bother with them. My little princess can just lay here and hold onto mommy, okay?" Malice spoke gently. "Mommy will always protect you, no matter what."

The princess nodded. "Mommy. Thank you so much. I will always behave like a good girl that I am."

"Of course, my child," Malice hummed. "I know that you'll behave."

"Mommy, when those angels came here and reeked the entire palace, was that fine?" the princess asked to which Malice chuckled at.

"Of course, my child. They were nothing but insects who thought that they were better than mommy. But they're gone now," Malice smirked. "So don't worry, mommy will be here and know everything my princess need."

"Thank you, mommy," the princess snuck deeper into Malice's clothes and the latter chuckled. "Thank you for everything, even after I reincarnated, you have always been here with me."

"Of course, my child. Mommy is always here for you," Malice smirked. "No one will take you away from mommy ever again."
